Plant growth seemed to explode and they all grew and stretched quite quickly. Bud sites continued to develop well. There was so much growth by the end of the week that I decided to defoliate and removed the large fan leaves earlier than I had planned (was going to do this a week later). This opened up the canopy and allowed for better air flow as the humidity was quite high (up to 80% before defoliation). I also ordered the smallest dehumidifier that I could find. After more research online I ordered some calmag, pk booster and silica

Can anyone offer advice or experience on harvesting some of the bigger more mature buds early while leaving the rest of the plant in tact to mature? Checked the trichomes and the big top buds look ready, everything lower down is clear/milky

things are looking good for you, doing a partial harvest is great, this way you cut off the top buds that are done, and leave the lower parts to stay in the grow until you want to harvest them. real easy just cut to the buds that are not ready, hang the ready buds, wait and repeat. happy soon to be harvest, you did a great job grow friend

@WeedDoctorSam, I've got a little chiller that has a pump circulating the nutrients through some clear pvc tubing. To drain my tank all im really doing is interrupting the flow from the chiller back into the tank by pulling the return line from the chiller out of the top of the tank and placing it in the blue bag to drain. I usually wait until my tank is less than half full when I drain it as it's less effort (less water to pump out, move and dispose of) and less wasteful also (there are still unused nutrients in there) When I can see air bubbles running through the chiller lines and the flow has slowed down significantly, I take the chiller return line (clear pvc tubing) out of the blue bag and place it back into the top of my tank, then I pump in my fresh batch of nutrients and im good to go for a few days

Tell me more about the setup you've got going! That blue bag in photo 1 of week 9 -- assume you pre-mix your nutrient water every few days and let a water pump do the work? Would appreciate you sharing the hardware you're using. My ladies are starting to DRINK and I need a solution like yours.

@Flowers_By_Irene, this is super helpful, thanks! "...then pump it in when the old nutes have drained and I've put my return line back" Can you say more about this? When the old nutes have drained = your grow tank 1/2 full or below? And what does "when I've put my return line back" mean? THANKS and happy growin to you too!
