Hi all! Here we go with another seed from famous FastBuds - Blackberry. This have to be an easy journey, isnt it?)) i am planning to lst it and will use a topping technique to get better results later. so lets begin;)
On this week I started to give some nutrients, just a little Grow+CalMag/half of the dose in water PH6.5. For LSTing I fixed a main stem in order for it later to bend easier.
This week was very important because i got right in time using topping technique before the plant started to bloom. My LST technique seems to me going better by time))
On this week I was absent for two days, and after I was back, the plant started blooming already)) It showed the black color of the stain on the flowers and on leaves around them - so beautiful!! Exactly what I expected at the exact expected time))) Nice job, FastBuds! Half of the plant is still vegging, but I think it will be not for quite long - talking about hours or something for them to start blooming.
Therefore I changed the nutrients' feeding and released all bondages of lst in order for the plant to feel free for a certain period of time)
Here we continue to follow Blackberry's blooming, nothing really changed in watering, nutrients or anything in training, just continue watching it trying to be a good boy for a blooming girl)))
On this week I finally finished reworking my LED lights and beginning the 1st of November I have completed my moving to the 3x3ft grow tent, from the 2nd box, were free space was already over with 7 plants). Still reworking my 2nd box which is 2x4ft to be under HPS 250 for future vegetation and autos growing purposes. my first box which is planned for a MotherPlant is still waiting attention, but I will work with it only after getting LED lights there and climate controller, we have enough time for that not be in hurry with it.
Regarding Blackberry, it develops good, but very small) anyway this plant itself stinks more than other plants in the tent alltogether, its good))) So it is about a month to harverst as usual for such autos, we will see what will be going on here and wil try to act adequately to that))
This next week begins with a problem with Blackberry. Leaves became dry and changed color to lighter green with rusty spots appeared, colas by the color became not black as should, but purple(interesting genetic effect). Leaves became so dry when you touch and try to take them they break and turn to dust. After some learning what happened i came to a conclusion that it is a led light burn issue together with overheating. Therefore, first of all, i changed the height of the led lamp +30cm and put the plant out of lamp center for a while. i know that time is running off and we have almost a month to finish, having small chances for a full recovery to such an issue. But, whatever, we will do all possible to save the future harvest))
On day 74 still have an issue of dry yellow leaves while slowly recovering from light and heat burn caused by me at the beginning of the flowering stage. I decided just to exclude nutrients and water it with clear PHed 6.5 water, but it seems the damage was too big to recover so quickly, anyway trichomes are still transparent so we ahve to wait still a couple of weeks. the grow goes on)
This week number 10 shows us the same problems we have had before. dry leaves etc. still have a problem with that but i do not think we have enough time to resolve it. lets just wait a couple weeks more with the same treatments as it was on the 9th week.
Some trichomes are amber but the most of them are still glassy,we will wait until the most of them become milky)
Again, i was off for a couple of days doing some work and when i was back, i discovered my plants having a heavy nutrinent burn. when i flushed it one time, the run-off showed 2400 pm) most leaves are dried to death. now i am trying to rescue the plant with all instruments and knowledge i have at the time, otherwise - forced early harvest. i am going to flush it with clear water, defoliate dead leaves and wait(
Growing of the FastBuds' Blackberry was very easy and i easy killed it))) Unfortunately i was not too careful about nutrient dosage and the plant burned to complete dry stance, But before my mistake with chemicals, the growing was going very nice and straight without major problems from the seed. All techniques i tried on that plant went well.
This strain is very beautiful and tasty, even i was forced to havest because of nutrient burn, having about tree weeks before planned harvesing (trichomas are mostly transparent), the plant already has a strong effect)) very nicely smells and tastes, easy smoking))
I would recommend this strain and maybe i would grow it again in future;)
