Things are slowly beginning to look good. Gained some height this week although I would love to see it gain even more height. Flowering has begun and I might have to edit my earlier weeks, since it is really now it is beginning to flower. My main issue is space and it is going to be difficult balancing it to get the most out of these nice Fast Buds autos. I will be trying them again and giving them the proper start. Even if these have been stunted and stressed a bit in the beginning, they'll still produce a decent amount of flower (I hope).
@MrHightimes, Haven't been that lucky yet. FastBuds are a great company with some amazing strains. I'm also very interested in the purple lemonade, so I'll have to follow you hehe.
You're NOT a FB whore. I you like them, their seeds and service - It's quite alright to promote them and advertise for them. I'd love to someday be lucky enough to be gifted some seeds. So I consider you lucky π
@gj420, Yeah they sent me 5x 5 seeds. I'm gonna look like a FB whore lol! But hey! so far I'm completely ok with that!!!! I'm excited to do my Purple Lemonaid! But I have some Night Owl Seeds I wanna try tooooooo.... too many strains.... not enough time :P
@Fast_Buds, I'm looking forward to trying your genetics. So far I'm very impressed. I will be running a diary of Orange Sherbet and Wedding Cheesecake if they successfully sprout. I really wanted to try the Strawberry Pie, but my local headshop didn't have it in stock so I picked the Orange Sherbet and chose a free bee of the Wedding Cheesecake, because it just looks so amazing in all the pics on your insta profile.
@Taito, Thx π I'm hoping it will turn out great, but I know it could be done better. I have the tent maxed out so they would have grown more if they were the only ones there.
@MrHightimes, They are beginning to grow, But the stressed start has stunted them a bit compared to my strawberry pie auto. Yours look nice too ππ
Interesting! Great endorsement to NOT transplant haha. I've been going straight into medium, and will continue, but its interesting to see someone else try it! Glad to see how/why its a bad idea!
@MrHightimes, Yea I might have started the LST a bit too early. I hope they build some height now, but at least the LST have worked and now there are several top sites. So it's not really for yield, but to learn some new techniques and fail a bit, but hopefully also have som success.
@Gassedupfromthemaskup, It was aphids or whatever they are called. It was mostly a moisture issue due to my lack of space combined with too many big plants. I needed to lollipop them way more. The reason why they were messed up was because I read that these bugs could be washed off. But I only had my shower to do a proper cleansing and the water wasn't damn hot, but it wasn't cold. I don't think the plants liked that at all. They seem very stunted by it.
My first time in tents, so bound to have some issues. Especially because I have a tendency to overfill my tents LOL
Hey! I'm a first time grower and wanted to know why did you waited so long to feed those? I have 4 autoflower of fastbuds and Biobizz nutrients and i was looking to know what was the right amount to guive without overfeeding.
@Jerma_grow, Hey there, I have been giving them Green House Seed company's veg fertilizer, so they have gotten nutrients from very early on. I've just chosen to switch from the Green House Seeds "Fast Flowering" nutrients to BioBizz. The main reason was that I didn't see any remarkable difference with that fertilizer. It has very high numbers in P-N-K, but it is very concentrated, so once it is diluted with water it is nowhere near those numbers.
The amount of fertilizer always depend on the strain. Some can take more than others, but you also have to understand that you don't really feed the plant, but the soil. It all depends on how much uptake there is or else you'll just keep the soil with a big amount of nutrients. And in some cases that can kill some plants. But most can take a lot as long as the fertilizer/water concentration isn't too high. That is also why most feeding schedules aren't meant for pushing plants to the max. It is the general safe level, so in most cases you can easily double the amount of fertilizer compared to the suggested amount.
But one important point. DO NOT over feed in the first couple of weeks. I would suggest using the recommended amount of fertilizer for seedlings. Start with the first feed, root juice type of fertilizers for the early feedings. Once the plants really starts growing, you can start with the suggested amount of fertilizer and then push it up and up until you see some upward turning of the leaves. That shows you are being too heavy on the fertilizer, but a good flushing should fix that right up.
I use the BioBizz because I have used it before with great success. Although I don't use the entire line up of products, I'm using the essentials. I also use the Acti-Vera and Bio Heaven, but haven't added it to the nutrient history of the diary yet. Just a bit lazy hehe. On of my friends are also using it right now, so I was a bit inspired by his plant development. I'm especially a huge fan of Bio Heaven, but it is one of the more expensive products. But I do feel it does give some extra to the finished product, that you don't get anywhere else. I use Bio Bizz all Mix for the soil, so that also makes it easy to decide to go for their line of nutrients.
I have a friend of a friend that produces a fertilizer called Big Plant Science and I might try that one out next time.
I hope that helped and answered your questions. If not, just let me know and I'll try and give a better explanation. If there is anything else you need advice on, just ask.
