Put seed in wet paper towel into sandwich bag, when it pops it'll go into prebuffered coco.
10-8-20
Checked the seeds this morning and both seeds had opened and showing tap roots. So put them in some mini fabric bags, this is the first time using these so we'll see how they work. I was looking for something other than using solo cups and plastic grow bags, so hopefully these work good enough
They are under a 2 foot 4 bulb t5 with 5000k bulbs, with only 2 bulbs on. They are sitting on a heat mat with a towel on a plate to hopefully keep them warm but not hot, I'll keep an eye and change it around if they need more or less warmth. The coco they went in was watered with ph5.8 water and let drain excess water.
10-9-20
Checked on the little ones today and needed to dig them out a bit as I put them down a bit to deep, now they should have no problem popping up.
10-11-20
The NE Rock Candy is above ground, Citral Glue, seems to be having issues 🤷♂️
10-12-20
The NERC was above ground and has stalled and the Citral also stopped. Popped another of each, and we'll see what happens with the original 2.
10-18-20
All 3 are above ground, but are slow growing. I did have some people inform me on IG that Ethos has had issues with alot of their seed packs being old stock and/or having problems continuing growing after germination.
10-21-20
So the 12th is going to be the start date for these. The 2 newest seeds are growing, and the original NERC has pulled through and continues to grow.
10-23-20
They seem to be doing alright, tomorrow I think I'll try and transplant them to their next fabric bag, because they are drying out to fast in their current one. After that they should take off.
10-26-20
They seem to be doing alright, maybe a bit slower than most. Transplanted them into their next size fabric bag.
10-26-20
They seem to be doing alright, maybe a bit slower than most. Transplanted them into their next size fabric bag.
10-28-20
Moving along nicely. Since transplant they have sped up significantly. Will top once they get a few more nodes.
11-1-20
Ladies movin and grooving. Looking nice and healthy and almost ready for their next pot up and a topping.
11/7/20
Transplanted into 1gal plastic pots a few days ago and started to tie them down and lst them today. Changed the light cycle from 24/0 to 18/6. Should start to see some good growth in the next week or so. Feeding @ around 500ppm pH 5.8-6.1
11/9/20
I don't know what happened, but they seem to have stopped growing after I topped them almost a week ago now. Usually they are growing alot more. Feeding every few days at around 450ppm with pH of 5.8-6.0. I guess we'll wait and see what happens...
11-17-20
I believe they have pulled through whatever was slowing them down and now are back on track. Seem to have grown through their topping and look good. Will continue to lst them as needed.
11-21-20
Thought I was through with the issues, but seems like there's still something going on... I gave them a decent flush, checked runoff ppm/ec and that wasn't too alarming. I don't know, seems like nothing wants to go right with these girls...
11-22-20
Transplanting tomorrow or the next day to their new home in either a 2 or 3 gallon fabric pot. Hopefully that will help them along as they seem kinda small.
Will also be popping the next few seeds that'll come behind these. They will be from Irie Genetics, a couple of Orange Gasm and I think some Leonardo. They should be some fire
11/27/20
So they have definitely grew through the issues they were having and now are growing well. Still haven't transplanted, will end up doing it tomorrow.
11/29/20
Finally transplanted them! I've have continued to tie them down, will top them again in a couple days maybe and will soon be flipping them.
11/30/20
So I just can't keep these ladies happy to save my life! Still struggling, one looks N deficient and one looks like it is p deficient. I'll flush them again, raise the pH a little and kick up their feed a bit, as they are being fed kinda low. Set up their auto feed when I transplanted them. We'll see how that works, I wanted to top them again, but will wait till they get healthier.
12/6/20
Topped them their last time be flipping. As long as they continue to look alright will switch them to 12/12 next week
12/12/20
Tomorrow is their last day of veg. Seem to be doing alright. Moved them into the flowering space under the HLG.
12/15/20
First day of flower was 12/14/20. Hopefully I can control their stretch and keep them under control the next few weeks. Seem to be doing well right now.
12/19/20
So I had a a major issue with my HLG600. I came home on the 16th to the flower tent with no lights on. So I checked the timer, which I thought was good but wasnt turning on the light, so to test the timer and the light, I just plugged the light into the wall, and when I did, the light flickered, I heard something shorting out and the room lights flickered so I unplugged the light.I looked over the light and all looked good but I could smell the smell of burnt electricals. Well it was the water proof barrel connector between the power cord and ballest. So I ordered a new one and will hopefully test out the new one to see if there's any issue with the light or if it was just the connection. Also, the timer had a problem too because one of the sockets doesn't work anymore... 🤬🤬 I hope my light is still good...
12/20/20
So the HLG light is all good, it was only the connector that suffered any damage, whew. The ladies are doing good, spreading out a bit. Super cropped them a bit to hlkeep their height down a bit.
12/24/20
So had another damn timer issue and this time it left them with the lights on for around 3 days when they were supposed to be in 12/12. Good thing I caught it when I did cause it could have gone on a while before I caught it. So I fixed that and we'll see if they recover, they look super pissed off.
12/28/20
Starting week 3 of flower and things are looking good and moving right along, even with the few issues that have popped up. They are starting to form their bud sets, did some pruning to get rid of some small and lower stuff, will continue through this week. The clones I took are doing alright. Had to throw some yoyos on the Citral Glue because she was falling all over, can't wait till she starts putting on weight 🙄
1/14/21
Girls are doing really well. Pretty stinky already, stacking nicely, and putting down the frost early. Feeding them every 4 hours @ 450ppm(0.8ec) 6.1pH.
The clones I took of these ladies ended up having some major problems, the propagation lid ended up cracking, so they weren't able to be hardened off correctly, and got all discolored and pissed off. But they continue to put down roots and are starting to put out new growth, so they might survive! We'll see....
1/18/21
So everything seemed all fine and dandy, until I started to what I thought was a nutrient deficiency. Checked the water ppm, pH and saw everything was good. Got on the floor and started to pull leaves off and saw some little flying bugs around and on the the pots! Fxxking Fungus gnats! So bought some bti to try and get rid of them, waiting on it to get here to treat. For now, added some time between waterings to try and dry out media and put up some yellow sticky traps, we'll see what happens.
First time dealing with a pest, and it sucks their so far into flower!
1/21/21
So, still waiting on the bti, put up more yellow sticky traps, reduced watering times, adjusted the lower fan to try and dry the pots out better. The Citral Glue has them the worst I think, but I'm sure the NERC's have them also just not as bad, hopefully.
1/25/21
They seem to be showing signs of a P deficiency, or it's from fungus gnats, I don't know. I lowered their feed days ago, will flush tonight.
1/29/21
So what ever issues they had is going to lower my yield, I don't know what happened to them, but starting their flush after this weekend. After scoping, they have mostly cloudy trichs.
1/31/21
Will be starting to run their res out for feed and start their flush very soon.
2/7/21
Continuing to flush, and watch their trichs. Will chop when I see a few amber, probably another week maybe. Whatever issues they had I have yet to diagnose them. I don't really know what it could have been.
2/11/21
This is now the waiting game, every few days I check for signs of amber trichomes, and they probably have another week maybe, will be moving them into the smaller 4x4 this weekend to finish them off so I can move the 2 currently in the 4x4 to the 5x5 under the big light.
2/14/21
Moved these ladies in to the 4x4 tent to finish up. What a pain in the ass that was! They are some floppy ladies, with some definite weight behind them. Hopefully they start showing some amber trichs this week
2/20/21
Chopped down and hung to dry. Some will be easier to trim than others. Should be a decent cycle
2/27/21
