This was a hard strain to germinate. I germinate my seeds in a damp, cotton rag in a covered jar. Each time I tried to germinate the taproot was exposed but covered in a green slime??
I had three seeds:
Seed #1: Taproot exposed, died in the soil.
Seed #2: Taproot exposed, 12 hours later the seed had closed! Wtf!
Seed #3: Taproot exposed, placed in soil. Turned grey, black and limp. I covered in Moist soil and then the next morning she was green and full of life. Hopefully she hangs on.
I’ve added a humidifier to the tent to try and bring the Rh% up from 35%. I can get it almost to 40% with extra help with a small spray mister.
Week 2:
Day 1: I noticed discoloration in leaves. I will see if it continues throughout the week to better diagnose.
Day 3: She seems to have shaken the bright yellow discoloration coming in, new growth doesn’t look happy though.
Day 5: New growth looks promising, original initial fan leaves look a bit rough and beat up.
Week 4:
Day 1: Fed today. I think she was stunted in the first couple weeks because I had issues with a healthy germination,. She seems to be back to a good growing pace.
Day 2: LST starting today. Jumped up in height and I wanted to keep height down.
Week 5:
Day 1- Fed with nutrients. Finding success with the LST from last week.
Day 2 -Continued with LST with old and new growth.
Day 6 - Fed this morning with nutrients.
Week 6:
Day 1- Adjusted light from fixed to adjustable mounts. Continued working LST
Day 2- Fed this morning with nutrients. Defoliated lower fan leaves.
Day 5- She has stretched out this week!
Week 9:
Day 1- I fed this morning with nutrients. I defoliated some lower nodes that never had a chance to grow.
Day 3- Fed this morning. Pulled a few branches away from the center. I purchased a Lux meter to accurately adjust lighting.
Week 10:
Day 1- I fed this morning with nutrients. She’s really starting to fill out.
Day 3- I fed with just water this morning. Started to see some pistils turn orange.
Week 12:
Day 1: I fed yesterday with nutrients. Most of the trichomes are cloudy.
Day 3: I fed this morning with half strength nutrients. Trichomes all cloudy with some amber coming in.
This plant responded really well to training. Nice chunky colas. It smelled of grapefruit with a earthy pungent aroma. Dashes of purple throughout the sugar leaves and calyx.
