Coming along nicely :)
10/23/20: One of my other Fruity Pebble seedlings is mutated, it was growing single point leaves where a new node should have developed, i'm attempting to mainline her as it appears that she's naturally capped herself with new growth only visible from bottom most node... I'm curious as to what's going to happen and thought i would include her with this diary...
First plant is coming along fine, a little fuzzier and wider node spacing than most (under my lights)..the mainline was a success with the 2nd plant despite having to cut her so low, I removed leaves since and topped again in 2 spots..
11/10/20 update: I think these genetics are completely unstable. We had 2 seeds, the first had to be mainlined because of a deformity, the 2nd is now throwing pistils and preflower under 18/6..the last plant we had so this hermied and wasn't caught until it was too late..i put more red light on them, I'm hoping this will straighten them out..
Both plants of this strain have had issues, I believe we got a crap batch.. one may even be an autoflower, it's looking like it's at least 2 weeks in and She's been under 18hrs her whole life..i may throw her in tent, not sure yet..she's making me nervous, the last one we had that did this hermied and got pollen everywhere... the 2nd plant is doing fine after the mainline..I plan on one more topping later this week...
We took a week off...1 of the 2 plants is DEFINITELY a mislabeled autoflower...she's stacking up nice and we made a good decision leaving her in the veg room under the long lights until we were sure...
1 of the 2 plants is DEFINITELY a mislabeled autoflower...she's stacking up nice and in hindsight, we made a good decision leaving her in the veg room under the long lights until we were sure..and there she will stay until finished ...the remainder of this log will focus on the mainlined photoperiod Fruity Pebble plant.. cheers :)
Some decent growth this week :) , she got another haircut and her plant ties repositioned..im done topping, we're going with 8 total "main" stalks, 4 branches per side :)
She's starting to split on me a little :( .. I typically make my cuts high to prevent this but she was so small when we had to do it...we let up the ties to remove any pressure...that aside she seems to be doing just fine :)
Seemed like a good point to flower... i put a ton of slack in the ties in preparation for the stretch, i'm hoping the small split will close during this time ...gave first splash of bloom nutes with a small dash of cal-mag to be proactive ... i think she'll finish with a beautiful shape :)
She was neglected for a few days (work got in the way) and we're working on getting the color back, we gave them all a shot of grow solution and they should come around in a few days :)
We had a home inspector for insurance come an look at the place, we're a legal state however we just assume avoid any drama..we moved the plants to the only spot we had available and it wasn't too warm..I'm sure they'll be fine and we'll pick this up next week ..
She probably has another week in her, 2nd week of flush...she's small like we assumed she'd be after cutting the first node so young but we'd do it again in a second if it meant saving one....she was a good plant and I'm sure her yield, while small, will still be some impressive smoke.... happy growing friends!
We skipped a week of documenting, life got in the way.... She wasn't a big plant, we expected her to stay small after topping at the first node like that, it was a nice little experiment and i'm glad we let her grow, she made for a nice little side stash and break from the strain we've been on ... happy growing everyone!
