Here we go. Starting a first week of my second grow.
Sativa dominant Durban Poison from Dutch Passion looks like a perfect fit for long winter evenings.
Lets our journey to begin.
I took two seeds and placed them into the plastic box with 99% humidity and extremely highly moisturised environment.
Reduced the amount of moisture and lowered humidity to 80% when seeds cracked and showed their tails.
Autumn nights are cold this year so seeds need stable temperature environment. Placed them near the electric heater (40 °C / 104 °F) on some distance and put a towel underneath to isolate environment and reduce temperature losses.
Day 1 (14/10/20) - seeds planted.
Decided to plant directly to the big soil. One seed didn't threw it's cask so planted it on some small distance under the top soil. Another one was fully opened but smaller, so decided to place the first leaves above the ground and put the root under, hope it will survive and use this hard period as a life lesson and become stronger :)
Watering - 100ml of water with Ionic CalMag (0.3ml/1l).
Day 2 (15/10/20) - seeds showed up.
Watering - 100ml of water with Ionic CalMag (0.3ml/1l).
Started giving Power Feeding Grow from Growth Technology on the second week of vegetation period. It provides optimum development throughout the growth-stage to obtain greener, stronger and more resistant plants.
This week was quite interesting. We can see a good growth dynamics and plant development due to the strong genetics. Also, now I have a valuable knowledge about the connection between water temp and nutrient absorption. I applied new technics in nutrient feeding. Now measuring them by concentration in the water volume PPM, instead of measuring on scales. It appears to be much easier and you will not make a mistake if you need to create several portions of solution in different volumes.
Nitrogen and Phosphorus are crucial elements on the phase of active vegetation. You can see the difference in the grow dynamics if you look at week 2-3 and 4. On week 4 I increased nutrients concentration by 40%.
Week 6 started with binding up new branches and ended up with defoliation. Applied Schwazzing technique (almost complete defoliation). Now the new growth points will get more light witch will result in expansive growth.
