Germinated fast and are growing normally. This is day 7 above ground and all is well. Will give them a light top dress of foundation/grow next week to break down for week 3.
Put a 1 tsp of each Foundation and Grow and the end of week two to start bringing nutes available for week 3. I'll keep on a weekly top dress regiment from here on out, slowly rising up to 1-2TBL per pot depending on plant size.
Really happy with the growth on these, thrips are gone, didn't seem to slow them down at all. Going to continue to LST and tuck leaves. Hopefully they won't switch into flower for another 2-3 weeks.
Good steady growth, one of em is clearly in flower, an the other has no signs of it, so we will keep an eye on the two. Need to defoil and train them a bit more, they keep pulling the stakes up.
1 plant is in full flower, and the other plant is still in veg and looks like it'll be a big one. Interesting to see the differences between two seeds of the same strain.
Both of these plants were plants/germinated on the same day. They've been under the same conditions on the same everything. One of them is well along into flower and short, the other is just hitting flower and about 3x the size. Interesting to see the spread.
Two completely different plants, but if the little one is anything to what the big one is going to turn out too, I am very interested. The smell on the little one is ripe orange juice, as expected. No smell on the big one yet, it is just focused on growing. For the numbers of nutes above, the big one is getting double what is listed here.
Very different plants on very different timelines it seems. The smaller one has big beautiful dense buds on it, a nice solid orange smell on the squish. The larger plant continues to get bigger and spread itself out while slowly developing buds.
What a strain! The shorter TropCookies has the biggest, densest, smelliest orange buds in my garden! They are beautiful and very heavy. The larger plant is several times larger than the small one with the super buds. I am hoping the larger one fills in like the smaller one did, but I doubt she'll go has big bud wise. The larger one is several weeks out whereas the smaller fat one is popping at the seams to be harvested. I'm going to continue to let it fade a bit more and use up the nutes, checking trichomes daily before harvesting the smaller one. I don't think I'll be able to finish these in time of the contest ending.
TC1, the beautiful plant in the last week is current in 48hrs of darkness before harvest. TC2, the plant pictured above, I was going to kill it at the beginning of this week because it had no smell, no trichome, and it was all fluff, despite rocking a full fade. I decided to wait 3 days and see, its started to swell and produce trichomes, and low and behold...smells like citrus. I decided to let it run to full term, however I'm not confident that the bud will be smokable to my liking. TC1 though... fire.
Only 8.5 grams of stem on 62 grams of bud. She was a short lil fatty! The plant that came to harvest is a nice strain. Slightly citrus with a over the top confectionary sugar taste. On the cough the citrus comes out more and the sugar kinda fills your nasal cavities. It's a pungent strain and I'd wish the other 2 were even close to this.
