Eljardindemargarita_grower Hey there Here’s a new update on this ongoing grow. In this watering, I applied Barrieron from Top Crop at 1ml per liter of water. I watered a total of one liter of water adjusted to a pH of 5.5 and 0.4 regarding the EC. Average temperature of 26 degrees Humidity between 70% and 50%. I would like to be able to control the humidity better. I have noticed this OG Kush is looking a bit sickly, as you can see. I think it might be some bugs. This week regarding watering, I’ll say that I'm following the Top Crop chart: Top Veg 2ml x l Barrier 0.5ml x l Deeper Underground 2 ml x l Green Explosion Foliar 1 ml x l With 1l of water, adjusted to 6.0 pH (bio.ph-) from Biobizz 0.4 ec 1 ml x l Lighting, 250w CFL at 40 cm from the canopy. Now regarding the climate in the room, we have a great NEW addition. We have a great ally for cultivation to keep our room optimal. Thanks to INKBIRD, we have acquired the IHC-200. Humidity controller. The IHC-200 is a reliable, easy-to-use dual relay hygrometer to control both the humidifier and dehumidifier and fans. Basically, it keeps the humidity within certain parameters, depending on the needs of our crop. We select the optimal humidity range, in this case, 70%, the percentage of operation, for example, we set it to 10% above the range and another 10% below, this will make either the humidifier or the dehumidifier work depending on the humidity of the crop. In short, in the several days I've been using it, I don't have as many ups and downs regarding humidity, with the consequences that entails. And as the crop progresses, we change the main value. This week has brought a lot of news, WE'VE ALREADY STARTED WITH THE LEDS, they are HORTIONE 592, 190W each, I've only put one of them on at full 100%, I want to see how they handle it, this photo is from two days later, just a few notes over several days. Now the control is more automated thanks to the humidity controller hygrometer... everything is much more even in terms of temperature and humidity, now maintaining at 60% humidity. As for light control, we now have a TROLMASTER HYDRO-X, this allows me to control mainly the light, and it can do crazy things, which I will gradually learn since this is meant to incorporate more devices and sensors capable of controlling all aspects of the grow. Regarding watering this week, according to the top crop table: Depper underground, 2 ml per liter Top veg, 3 ml per liter Green explosion, this foliar at 1.5 ml per liter. Osmotized water adjusted to pH 6.0 with two drops of bio ph- from bio bizz and an initial EC of 0.4 with cal-mag from Atami. Total maximum EC this week 1.2 I think we've started to have insects this week, I haven't seen them per se, but this plant was telling me something, so from this week we've started preventive and corrective care, with neem oil, potassium soap, and a bit of aloe vera, I hope to add a little more today, I hope it doesn't get worse... This is how the girls are doing this week; you can really see how more flower beginnings are appearing on each branch, and that canopy is getting denser every day. FEEDING GROTEK ​ CORE 3 ml per liter VITAL 2 ml per liter MICROPOWER 1.5 ml per liter ROOT FORCE 1 ml per liter GROWTHMAX 1 ml per liter This week we started adding more water to our watering, I'm using 2 liters for the 9 plants. Little by little, we'll see how the girls are eating; for now, with those two liters, I can see that every three or four days they are asking for more food. On Saturday, I also added SYNERGY from Grotek, according to the chart; as you know, I follow the chart to the letter. This water-soluble powder contains microorganisms from the brand that help the roots and benefit from them, creating a mutual synergy that favors nutrient absorption for the plant; it's like a symbiotic relationship. GENERAL DATA HUMIDITY 55% TEMPERATURE 24 degrees SIZE 45 cm DISTANCE BETWEEN PLANT AND LED 35 cm​ As for size, it seems they are stretching as they usually do in these weeks, as at this time they can triple in size. For now, they are showing all their potential. There's a deep smell that makes me need to set up the odor filter before the neighbors find out something cool is brewing in this house...hahahaha. This week we increased the power to the LED; they are currently set to 80%, thanks to the TROLMASTER lighting controller. With this controller, we can also mimic sunrise and sunset, making the turning on and off of the HORTIONE-LED as natural as possible, simulating the appearance of a natural day. Honestly, I think that's amazing, and it doesn't stress the plant with all that direct light. In terms of general appearance, I see they are doing great with no apparent deficiencies, no strange colors, everything is going as it should... and the smell they give off is fantastic. I hope it stays that way, and we can see these girls in full bloom this week. Little by little, these buds will fatten up, and we'll see them all in their full glory. ARE YOU IMPATIENT TO SEE IT? Eljardindemargarita_grower DAY 18 FLOWERING Hello, here we are with a new update on this grow diary. This week of cold and humidity, we have to fight against the weather in our indoor setups. So far, they are growing, although I find them a bit slow, but I guess it's because of the cold weather. I have the LEDs set about 30 cm from the tops of the 9 plants to try to maintain a good temperature in the grow... Right now, these Hortione LEDs are set to 85%, thanks to the Hydro-X regulator from Trolmaster... Next week I will increase the power to 90%. The flowers are already forming and are starting to look a bit thicker; next week we will begin fattening these beauties... And today it was time to water, 2 liters of osmosis water, to adjust the pH. Now in flowering, I am using pH down from Vitalink, which contains phosphoric acid?, ? (so it's not the citric acid we've always used), supposedly it's much better for flowering, the plants are now absorbing more, and that contribution is more beneficial... I've read something about that... so let's give it a try... Total of two liters of water adjusted to a pH of 6.2 with: CORE, 4 ml VITAL, 3 ml MICRO POWER, 2 ml ROOT FORCE, 1 ml GROWTH MAX, 2 ml All from the organic line of GROTEK. This brings my water up to 1.7 EC, for now this week I will go all out with the feeding, meaning that with each watering I will use nutrients. For now, I only water every 3-4 days, with 225 ml per plant. I have really noticed the change in how the plants eat between the sodium and the LED. Now they eat much less. With this poor one, I had a problem; I forced the branch so much that I ended up with it in my hand, so these big hands are causing trouble in this grow... but well, it’s nothing, these things happen, and we learn from them... Maximum temperature of 26 degrees and a minimum of 22 degrees, with the LEDs on, off between 18 and 20. Stable humidity between 50% and 60%, controlled with the dehumidifier. Vapor pressure deficit between 1.2 and 1.5 KPa. 21 days since the change of photoperiod. Here we are entering the fattening phase of these girls. We have already finished the third week of flowering, and for now, this garden looks like this... The phase in which the plant focuses on flower formation is over, and now it concentrates on giving all the punch to those already formed flowers to fatten them up and form all the flower clusters. You can already see that the flowers are formed, and it will focus on fattening them... At this point, entering this fourth week, we will raise the lighting to 90% and continue like this week by week until we reach 100% power. They have really stayed a bit short for my taste; they are between 60 cm and 40 cm tall, and the LEDs at 30 cm, but I'm not going to worry too much. In fact, I see it better this way because previously, in other grows of mine, I left quite a bit of height before switching, and at this stage of flowering, the tent literally looks like a jungle, which complicates access to the plants for watering or checking for possible pests. At least for me, that jungle was a madness... this way I can control it and access all parts of the plant. We'll see later if I regret it or not... WEEKLY DATA TEMPERATURE 27 degrees with lights on, 20 at night HUMIDITY 55% with lights on, 65% at night VPD 1.5 KPa with lights on, 0.7 KPa at night Extractor, with the lights on, always running, at night 15 minutes every hour. Eljardindemargarita_grower 4 WEEK FLOWERING DAY 28 CHANGE PHOTOPERIOD This week gets interesting, watching the buds finish developing to become that beautiful flower every gardener wants in their garden. This week we increased the intensity on the Hortione LED to 90%, and had to raise the light a bit more to control the indoor temperature since it went up a few degrees more than desired, trying to keep the DVP values stable during this stage of cultivation... Honestly, the HYDRO-X controller from TROLMASTER helps a lot with that task as it allows you to monitor all those parameters through an app you can download on your phone... TOTALLY USEFUL... For that, I just adjusted the humidity and temperature with a dehumidifier, which really only works at night, extraction always on, and interaction also on with two fans always running. GENERAL DATA HUMIDITY 45/55% day. 55/60% night TEMPERATURE 24/27 degrees day. 20/22 night DVP 1.4/1.6 kpa PH 6.2 EC 1.7 FEEDING LINE GREEN, GROTEK CORE 4 ml per liter VITAL 3 ml per liter MICRO POWER 2 ml per liter GROWTHMAX 1 ml per liter RYPE 1 ml per liter This week we added RYPE to our watering mix, which basically impacts the plant directly and acts as a microbial catalyst with various beneficial ingredients, such as amino acids and carbohydrates. You can already smell that characteristic kush aroma in the air, but the skunk predominates, standing out above... a fragrant mix that makes you want to take a bite. In the coming week, week 5, we will increase the power to max at 100% for these LEDs, and I will control the temperature, trying to lower it a few more degrees; if I can keep it stable at 24 degrees... that would be ideal... This week these beauties will continue to fatten up, and we will see the results from this mix I have set up here. So far, it's true that they have stayed quite short, the height ranges from 70 cm for the tallest, a Rosenthal x Superskunk, to 50 cm for the shortest, also another Rosenthal x Superskunk. The others range between 55 cm and 60 cm each; certainly, this is the shortest grow I've had, but I actually like having so much space to access all the plants, allowing me to see them all in more detail, and also fewer plants, just 9... but I'm impatient to see how this grow continues to develop and to be able to taste these varieties. This poor OG Kush that I was so eager to have four buds, after being tortured and tied up, and after amputating a tip, still shows three tips, and another one that came out after the amputation of one of the branches, a central bud emerged for the delight of her sisters, still standing and fighting. Also, in the photo, you can see how each of the branches has leaned to one side, some with very thin leaves and others with thicker leaves similar to those of their genetic sisters. Eljardindemargarita_grower 5 FLOWERING WEEK 35 DAYS PHOTOPERIOD CHANGE Hello, here we are again with another week of this grow. 5 OG Kush and another 4 Rosenthal Super Skunk. The week has gone quite well, the flowers are starting to fatten up and the garden smells amazing. They are too small for my liking, but I hope to get something pretty good despite that. Now they are fattening up and you can see how the massive buds are forming and how the lower flowers are merging with the tips... The size of the plants ranges from 50 cm for the shortest to 75 cm for the tallest, very variable heights. It seems like each one has grown wherever it pleases, even though the HORTIONE LED, BOTH BARS WERE AT THE SAME HEIGHT. This is my first experience with LEDs, and I hope to be up to the task and understand what the plants are asking of me now, staying alert to any variations... considering I've always grown with 600w sodium. Eljardindemargarita_grower 6 WEEK FLOWERING 42 days since switching to 12/12 Hello, here we are again with another week of this follow-up, which is already starting to smell like harvest soon. This week, you can really notice that strong smell these plants give off, and at night it's insane. In terms of appearance, the buds are becoming more noticeable, making it so that almost all of them are filled with flowers; right now they look like baseball bats, 50, 60, and 70 cm long. They're all perfect, no signs of excess or deficiencies; the only peculiar thing is the color that some of the OG Kush leaves are taking on, turning reddish, which will gradually become more evident. They're all well-loaded with resin, and everything is coming together naturally. Dense and hard buds like rocks; I hope that in this little week they have left, they finish maturing completely, and I don't have problems with temperatures and humidity that could ruin the final product. FEEDING GREEN LINE, GROTEK MONDAY, DEC 28 Watered all with 4 liters of osmosis water pH 6.5 (I let it sit for a day to lower that half point I need now) EC 0.4 (4 ml of Cal Mag from Atami) THURSDAY, DEC 31 Watered all with 4 liters of osmosis water, let sit for a day. pH 6.5 EC 1.7 CORE 5.5 ml VITAL 3 ml MICRO POWER 4 ml GROWTHMAX 3 ml RYPE 6 ml Honestly, I’m more than satisfied with this range of nutrients so far; it's the first time I've used them. I was used to TOP CROP, and the truth is, you can tell. I was struggling to calculate the right amounts of nutrients needed to adjust the nutrient quantity since the chart shows what’s provided weekly... but the results are more than evident... And after trying and trying, I think I'm finally getting the hang of the nutrient amounts. GENERAL DATA TEMPERATURE 22/24 degrees during the day, 18/20 degrees at night HUMIDITY 45/55% during the day, 60/65% at night VPD 1.3/1.5 kPa during the day, 0.6/0.8 kPa at night This week we lowered the humidity controller by 5% to 45%, so the dehumidifier runs longer, but since it's been colder, the humidity has dropped a lot. So, I had to take the humidifier from the other cabinet for a few days and lend it to these girls... as we know, cold air is dry, so during these cold days, I had to run the humidifier for a few hours during the day; at night, it's the opposite, the humidity spikes... but thanks to this INKBIRD humidity controller, I can keep all those factors in check. So, this 6th week of flowering for these OG Kush from Eurogrow and these Rosenthal Super Skunk has come to an end, and soon I'll have the pleasure of tasting them and feeling how delicious these girls are and how well they’ve responded to the hands of this humble creator of life and beauty that brings us so much joy, and some sorrow. Let's hope that this week everything continues as it is and, if possible, that they keep fattening up and finish forming those floral clusters that we gardeners of happiness long for. This week has been pretty messed up weather-wise, we're in a crazy cold wave and down here in the south, it's really noticeable, especially regarding humidity... so we just have to hold on through these remaining weeks and hope they don't suffer too much. Honestly, the girls are looking gorgeous, loaded, dense, and very fragrant. The buds have almost fully formed and all the flowers are pretty tight. Some seem to be progressing faster than others, so I'll have to keep an eye on the perfect ripeness of these lovely flowers, which the seed bank indicates should take about 9 weeks, but I don't think all of them will. GENERAL DATA TEMPERATURE 21/23 on, 16/19 off HUMIDITY 45/55% on, 60/70% off DVP 1.2/1.5 kpa on, 0.5/0.8 kpa off PLANT SIZE between 50 and 75 cm DISTANCE BETWEEN LED AND PLANTS power regulated to 100% distance between 30/40cm FEEDING ORGANIC LINE, GROTEK Day January 3, 44 days of flowering Watered only with 4 liters of water for all pH 6.5 EC 0.4 Day January 5 46 days of flowering Watered with 4 liters of water plus: Core 5ml Vital 4ml Micro Power 3ml Rype 6ml pH 6.5 EC 1.7 Day January 8 49 days of flowering Watered with 4 liters of water only pH 6.5 EC 0.4 They're handling the waterings well, no deficiencies, they didn't even show signs of stress, maybe a bit small but that's part of the genetics of these OG Kush which seem to be somewhat dwarf.... I know, and for the next ones of this type, I'll push them harder during growth so they can stretch more at the start of flowering. This specimen of Rosenthal x Super Skunk is tight and hard as a rock, and you can see a big bud it has formed. This Rosenthal, however, has chosen to stretch more and has a longer but thinner bud than the previous one, with good secondary branches loaded with trichomes. This Rosenthal is totally loaded, sticky.... of all the Rosenthal, this one is the most loaded with trichomes... even the lower buds on the lower branches are filled with hairs.... amazing. One of the OG Kush has an incredible aroma, super fruity.... So there's a great week left and not much more for these girls who are giving their all in their last weeks, I'm very surprised by the aroma they give off and the colors they're starting to show... I hope the flavor is as spectacular as it seems it will be, because just moving around or entering the room releases an overwhelmingly spectacular aroma, I hope the flavor is the same... Eljardindemargarita_grower 8 week flowering Hey buddies!!!! Here we are, finishing up this grow, and as the days go by, I’m more eager to make the final cut. Every day we've been checking the state of the trichomes with the microscope to see when it's time for the chop... This week, nothing to add regarding watering, just been giving them water to slowly wash the roots until all the nutrients left in the substrate are fully absorbed. January 11th. First cut in the cabinet, the first one that fell was ogkush, which was a week ahead of the other girls. The others just started washing their roots... GENERAL DATA TEMPERATURE 22/25 on 15/19 off HUMIDITY 45/55% on 55/65 off LED POWER at 100% 390w LED DISTANCE 30 cm VPD VALUE 1.3 PLANT HEIGHT between 55 and 75 cm The smell coming from this grow is insane, you can tell the phenotypes in each one, each one smells different, a mix of colors and scents that penetrates the brain, I hope the taste is just as good as the smell, the amount of trichomes flooding the buds, and under the microscope, you can see the huge amount they’ve developed... I hope this genius yields the expected fruits. This is how it turned out, the og kush, in the attempt to get the 4 tips, I ended up with a completely golf ball-sized bud in my hand... totally a golf ball. So not much more this week, just that we’ll be watching how those trichomes mature for the exact moment of the cut... We’re entering week 9, where we’ll finish up this grow...
