So, first transplant, and increased nutes. Got almost an inch in height and broadened leaves. Now, we'll see how better light with higher wattage does.
Seems like slow going compared to her older cousins, but I think this week will be productive in height and foliage. It's hard playing catch up. Hopefully my calculations on maturity Ang growth weren't to far off. Lower intensity light right now to. So, we'll see what happens.
So, increased light intensity and nutes for first two weeks of bloom stage. Also, defoiliated. Got a good stretch this week. Might have went a little overboard on light and nutes for this strain. Seeing slightly burnt tips. No big deal. However, the anatomical structure of the plant Seems to be off to me. It's more like the pineapple express than the kush strains that I have seen in other growers ops. Seems kind of spindly, and not as full as other kush strains, even my own sky/tri girls. I'm thinking that I'm gonna decrease light intensity a little, hit her with some sensi cal mag xtra, and see what happens this week. I'm starting to wonder though, if maybe something didn't get mixed up and I've got a mystery strain growing under the guise of pk? She just seems off to me. Might be popping off some questions for the GD family in the near future.
A good week. She seems to be starting to fill out again. Nothing like my other kush strains though. I tried to contact the grower I bought the seeds from, but he moved to Arizona, and his phone goes right to unavailable. I spoke to his associate, and he's sure it's purple. However, when I pressed a little harder he couldn't confirm that it was kush. Just purple "something." So, bottom line is, I'm not sure what strain I'm growing here. She's doing well though, and budding nicely. Her structure and leaf formation still looks off to me, but I'm gonna keep treating her right and see what she turns into. Might post her on the question line in the next week or two if I don't come up with some more information on her. I guess the end product will be the story teller. I've still got nine more of the same seeds.
Doing really well. Buds are forming nicely. She's happy and healthy. Giving her a super little mix of advanced nutrients. Gonna eliminate the Big Bud this next week and feed her just kushie kush for a week. Lots of pretty white pistils and two more inches in height. Another good week.
I'm still not convinced that this girl is purple kush. It just seems off to me in anatomical structure, and bud formation. I think GD fam member northernfrostcannabis maybe right. Looks like a purple strain in some aspects, but I'm still wondering if it didn't get mixed up with wedding cake? It seems to have some similarities to the wedding cake I grew last summer, and the seeds came from the same producer. Maybe it's because I started it out 12/12 from seed. At any rate, she is doing well. I'm sure I'll be able to tell when she gets into the later stages of flower.
Ok, starting to see some color in her now. Been hitting her with kushie kush all week. Buds don't seem to be as big as the other kush strains I'm growing or familiar with, but looking and smelling good. Getting frosty too.☺️👍
Little bit late on my entry this week. Another great week. Been in contact with the breeder I got the seeds from. Not sure what this is. Three possibilities. Purple kush. Like it was supposed to be. Wedding cake or possibly even gorilla glue. Someone else who got seeds from him had the same problem. I'm just gonna stick with the pk. Anyhow, she's doing great. Nice frosty buds. Good color, density and aroma.
So, this week was the flush. Still not sure if this is true PK. It's close to it if it's not. Looks more like it should now than before. I'm gonna go with the PK. It's definitely some good smelling sticky stuff. Lots of trichomes. Nice dense buds. Plant #1 was ready for the dark room before plant #2. Sometimes it works out like that. No big deal. Will post harvest next week.😂
Turned out to be an awesome grow with great results! There was some confusion on my part at first as to whether or not I was really growing PK. I'm pretty confident now that it is PK. As the girls matured it became more apparent, and the resulting flower that was produced leaves little doubt. Definitely indica, and definitely high grade.☺️
Another great growing experience on GD. Thank you to everyone for all of the interest, likes, and comments. Special thanks to NorthernFrostCannabis for bearing with me on this grow, the common interest, and insight offered. Also, extremely happy harvests on his amazing grows.😉
