Soaked 4 seeds overnight in a glass of spring water then placed in paper towel on a plate for 2 days. All 4 seeds popped and after 2 days had a 1/2” root. Soaked my rockwool cubes in light dose of Cali magic solution and placed under my grow light. After 2 days all four had emerged.
Plants really grew this week. I had started four seeds because I wasn’t sure how my first dwc was going to go but I had originally planned to grow just one plant so I got rid of 3 and kept my best plant. Kind of sad but I plan to grow one large plant this time. I work out of town so this grow will be going 2 weeks at a time without any maintenance. Wish me luck.
Decent week of growth. The microbial mass has been making somewhat of a foam on top of my nutrient solution so I dropped that the last res change and introduced sensizym hoping to clean things up a bit although all my roots look heathy so far. The guy at the hydro shop said the microbial mass was very similar to voodoo juice but it seems to make a mess of my res. Grew my plant to the 6th node and topped it back to the third node leaving a good stump. I started training the two new growths and will top them at the third node as well. Also all the growths I don’t want I trimmed off and just left the fan leaves for now. I plan to train this one into somewhat of a monster mainline so hears hoping.

I work away 2 weeks at a time so been a bit more difficult not being around to lst as much as I’d like but my top off tank has been working great. My res ppm is 740ish when I leave and 780ppm 2 weeks later when I return. Ph dosnt change I’m using the perfect ph from torus seems to work great. Roots are heathy using the sensizym and my solution temp runs around 20-21 Celsius. Going to going training for a few more weeks then flip into flower.
No topping this week just letting her continue to grow out now. I plan to train the 8 growths outwards to fill my space and allow for even light penetration on all eight tops prior to flipping into flower. When I get home next week I’ll trim off all the lower fans now that the new growths can begin to take over for them.
This grow has been going good so far considering I’m gone for 2 weeks at a time for work and then only home for a week. Got home today and did some trimming and started tieing things down again.
Been doing more low stress training trying to space the eight mains more prior to flipping to flower. Added my second light in the room this week slowly increasing my light intensity prior to flipping to flower. Also increased the sensizym a bit to help with the slight increase in temps associated with the second light. One more week of veg and then will be flipping to flower.
Pictures were taking on the last day of veg. The past two weeks the plant has really gone into overdrive. I will be giving her a heavy defoliation and trim prior to flipping the lights to 12-12 tonight. Also I will be starting with advanced bud igniter and bud candy two products I’ve never used but let’s hope they work like they say. Now for the exciting times!
Stripped all the fan leaves off on the first morning of 12-12. Introduced bud igniter and bud candy two products I’ve never used before but hoping they’re worth the money. Ppm I slightly higher but not a lot this week. Waiting now to see what kind of stretch I get out of this strain.
I was out of town this week so not much to report but looks like slight nutrient burn on some of the tips. Possibly light burn maybe I’ve had these lights bleach my buds in the past.
Well she’s finally starting to show some flowers now. The smell is really starting to come on now. Last day of week 3 I did another heavy defoliation and installed a scrog screen just to open the plant up and help with light penetration. Originally this wasn’t the plant I was attempting to train but being gone 2 weeks at a time it just kinda ended up this way. My original goal was to have 8 big colas but oh well still a very nice healthy plant that will probly yield more but just not gonna produce the big colas we all love.
Things are looking good dropped the bud igniter and started with the big bud the beginning of week 4. Getting slight nutrient burn though so I cut the big bud in half to 1ml/l this morning. This plant hasn’t been a heavy feeder but it’s proving it won’t take the high ppms during flower. My inflow was only 800 and my outflow a week later after topping off with 800ppm during the week was up to 1350ppm. Should be straightened out now , it never caused any serious damage so no problem. Waiting to see this thing fill out now.
Buds are growing and filling in nicely. Ethos says this ones a 8 week flower cycle but because I work out of town it’s either take her at 7 weeks or 9 weeks so I’ll be waiting until next days off and she’ll come down after 9 full weeks of flower. This is the last week of big bud next week she’ll get overdrive for two weeks then a good flush. Home stretch!!!
Last two weeks I had been feeding her fairly heavy. She’s bulked up a bit now and looking very nice and frosty. She will get a week of straight water now and then taken down. Smells great and the buds are rock hard looking like a nice harvest on the way.
Well it’s been a long grow but totally trouble free. This was a great plant to grow I ended up with some very frosty golf ball size nuggets all of which are rock hard so will see what the yield looks like once it’s dried. After 68 days in flower which is way longer than they say for this strain I chopped them down. Even being late 10 days or so I only have like 10 percent amber trichomes all the rest are very nice and milky. At the moment the skunk smell is very strong I think once it dries the terps will really start to stand out in this one. Ethos has great genetics would definitely grow again.
Excellent strain to grow very easy to grow. Had an excellent yield overall yielding 18 ounces with one plant. All my buds are extremely dense but they’re not very big which is due to my training method I’m sure. Would defiantly grow again would definitely recommend ethos to anyone. Great genetics. I believe this strain was crossed Las Vegas lemon skunk and honestly that’s the most prominent smell they intense scent of skunk strains. During grow it had a grapefruit smell but has gone now. Also I overdried my harvest due to being out of down which was a real bummer but still very very happy with product. Although I defiantly lost some terpenes due to being over dried. I’m bringing it back slowly in curing jars now with boveda packs. Excellent strain see ya next time!
