I mixed ocean forest soil with mushroom substrate (coir & verm). One sprout had curled leaves but today she is fine. They all look good.

Added earth dust today. Boost 2-3-6. I added 3tbsp per gal of soil (4gal pots). I added 10-12 per plant given how much soil I had in each one. I airate the water in 5 gal bucket 24-48hrs in advance.

I am only watering still, using earth dust boost 2-3-6. I might have to feed one more time. Only took couple big fan leaves off to uncover some sites. Put hairtie on one for couple hours 2 days in a row. I've never just let one grow untrained. I'm curious.

I haven't done much LST but I keep defoliating. The was getting tall and I remove the large fan leaves on top cola to expose the site underneath. Trying to keep it kind of even canopy. As much as I can already

So these are doing great. Have a little bit of light stress. They are growing big. I just started to tie them down a little. Defoliation the whole time so I can keep sites uncovered. I do not want any Larfy buds. I kinda just want some big colas on these. I added molasses to the water this week. I'm still just using airstone for 48hrs w/ Vit.C powder added. Last day of week 6- they are looking lime greenish, tips are light . Maybe light burn? Or stress? So I gave them an extra feeding of some of my organic fertilizers, 'meigs'-sul-cal-mag 'Foxfarms'-kelp me, kelp you Worm castings Molasses Hopefully that will help them out. I also raised my light a smidge. Besides that they are beasts. Wish i would of topped couple. Love these girls.

HobbitGDFstarted grow question 4 years ago
Ok so these girls seem to be getting lime green 2 yellowish. I was afraid it was the light, so I backed it off a little. It's at 26in and 55-60% power. If it's not that could it be potassium? I didn't use the 1st step in the dry amendments.

A Nitrogen (N) deficiency by the looks of it, check the pH and make sure it's in optimal range (5.5-6.5/6.0-6.5 in soil) to prevent nutrient "lockout", and increase the Nitrogen based fertilizer (usually labeled as "Grow" or "Veg") by 50% since it seem pretty severe. Check the plants daily to see how they react to the different diet, adjust your fertilizing accordingly! Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing :)

I top dress the next step of my earth dust- boost 2-3-6 I now have a water filter so I dont need to PH any more or worry about chlorine. That's really cool. I used a little of my organic liquid nutrients from meigs fertilizer. The green is starting to slowly come back to the 2 that got pale. I also raised my light even more because I really think it had a lot to do with it. The 4 plants are growing at slightly different speeds. Which I like due to harvesting.. I'm excited to see how these nugs fatten up. Thx for following.

I'm just defoliating at this point. Its living soil so I try to keep it wet. I use inline water filter so I dont PH at all now. Plants seem to stay droopy after water or defoliation. They never acted right because i didn't use earth dust base. I added happy frog cavern culture to help them out a little So I'm just trying to keep them healthy until harvest.

They are finally starting to look better. Not using the earth dust base has really screwed this grow up. It's an all organic grow. I accidentally snapped off a branch and dipped it in aloe, then planted it. Well the roots are growing and looking strong. Buds are starting to grow. I thought they was stunted. Grateful. I feel like I defoliated to much and stunted the flower stretch on 2 plants or it's just pheno. Idk.

So I've been maintaining here. I keep defoliating so bud sites are not covered. I think I stunted 2 of the 4 that way. Defoliation to much or to often. Or just different phenos. Its 10 weeks now, I feel like these will be around 14-16 weeks when done. Starting to form trichomes. Feel like there should be more by this point. Genetics or not using the earth dust base really screwed this grow up. I gave the really yellow 2 some 'grow' nutes today. Hopefully bring the green back into them. Like if it is nitrogen deficiency. This grow is all organic. Trying to keep soil alive and healthy. But sometimes I just want to get my foxfarms out and use that. Havent yet. I feel like these will pan out in the end. 1/16- letting them dry a little. I'm not supposed to let it go dry. But I think I've been overwatering so I'm cutting down a little.

They are growing still. Yay. I have been using meigs fertilizer. It's organic liquid nutrients. Trying to fix all the issues that happened from not using the earth dust base. Only the boost. They are getting more green and showing new growth on all. The trichome production seems to be doing better. I also added the new light which I run for about 6-12hours with the regular light while it's on for 18hrs. HLG 30w UVA light. It hooked right on to my HLG 550 v2 rspec. I was so excited to get it and try it. We shall all see.

So they are recovering and not recovering. Idk. They swelling up. The UV light seems to making them throw out more trichomes. Also darkened the darker ones. They seem to like it. So I let it run for like 6-10hrs a day. They are just getting water right now.

Happy Harvest Day!

Just harvested. No wet weight. Will get dry weight. Only harvest 1 out of 4. The rest will be soon. All with in the next 2 weeks probably. I stunted 2 plants and all 4 had deficiencies right before flower on till late flower. So that definitely hurt the yeilds. I broke a couple branches on 1 or 2. I know that if I followed instructions right I would have had double the amount I get. Live and ya learn. Very very dense buds. This phenotype showed hints of purple on the buds closest to the light. Really fat chunky colas. The smell is like citrus, pine, and lemon. One of them is very piney. 2/8- harvested plant 2 & 3. Both drying. Plant 1 is curing now. I'll update when all are done and ready. Here is the current weight for them Plant 1 = 2.75oz Plant 2 = 2.10oz Plant 3 = 3.3 oz Plant 4 = 3.7 oz Total dry weight = 11.85 oz

harvested all 4 now. Will continue to upload as I go. I am drying plant 4 now. Will post dry weight asap Plant 1 = 2.75 dry oz Plant 2 = 2.10 dry oz Plant 3 = 3.30 oz Plant 4 = 3.70 oz Total dry weight = 11.85 oz So far we are up to 8.15 dry ounces. So half pound for 3 plants. Not bad but I would of liked that out of 2 plants. Still its dank and I'm grateful. One left to weigh in. Its drying now. So last one weighs in at the most . 3.7oz That's not bad considering these girls had to struggle their whole existence. Thanks for watching. I recommend this strain. I would grow it again. I know I can get better yeilds. Now that this is all smoked up. Plant 3 was the best potency and flavor. So much pineneen (mispelled). I miss that pine flavor. Now I'm smoking strawberry pie and it taste of orange flowers. Organic terpenes are so much more flavorful.

@snowball, did you try to let the soil dry out completely once? if not it's worth the try, also a good week now to do it wk3 flowering. after, try only to water for one week, to see if any lockouts will recover. i don't think you are underfeeding, its probably a lockout. if you have acces to some friends fishtank, dirty fishtankwater can make magic happen in such situation.

@jmont65, I just checked out your diary again, your week 10 is way further along than mine. I stunted mine I think with defoliation and deficiencies from not using the earth dust base in my soil. Trying to just use the boost. Water only. Well it definitely hurt this grow. I'm trying to learn organics.
