Not much. Noticed a bit of growth on the Blueberry headband. Seems to be doing much, much better than the Mac & Cheese. Started this diary late so trying to remember what I've already tried.

Added each of these plants at different times. The two in front, from left to right: clones sold as Blueberry Headband and Mac & Cheese. They have been in veg for about 8 days. Two in the back, from left to right: clones sold as Pure Vida and GG #4. They have been in the grow tent for 4-5 days, came from a different source, and were much larger when I got them. Have light schedule at 18 hours a day. I have not figured out a watering schedule yet - moisture measurements have come back as "wet" on the front two 3 days in a row, and "moist" on the two in back. Started to mess with temperature and humidity but noticed the Blueberry headband plant started developing yellowing on one of the leaves. For the past few days the grow tent has been at about 70% relative humidity and between 68-78 degrees Fahrenheit. Learning as I go but do not want to make costly mistakes, so removed the humidifier for now.

Two mistakes I think I made. 1.) To get the humidity up, I just used a cheap humidifier without precise controls next to the tent. It did change the humidity but I think it might have spread fungus. Just a possibility. The plant that started doing poorly first was the Mac & Cheese. Once I pretty much gave up on it (transferred to a much smaller pot and have it new soil), I noticed what looked like a fuzzy whiteness in the soil near its roots. Posting picture of that. Will probably ask another grow question about it. The humidity thing was a dumb gamble imo. The plants were doing just fine before. 2.) I fertilized the soil in all pots with a product I got on sale at home depot called Fish and Bay Guano. Liquid fertilizer. Might have been not the best quality since it was on sale for 3 bucks, but I think what very likely happened is I used too much of it and shocked the healthiest looking plant, the Pure Vida, nearly to death. It is still living but looks terrible. I transplanted all of my plants today. I tried to be careful not to destroy the root system but the Pure Vida had grown right into the sides of the plastic pot. Very firmly rooted in there. Same with the GG #4. Both from the same source and I think better quality clones altogether than the other source. Although maybe they are just more forgiving. I got a product that I can use to flush out whatever else might be killing my plants. Ultimately I think I have been overwatering. Moved the lights closer to the plants and that actually helped before the fertilizer incident. I'm dumb. Went to a specialty grow shop and got some advice. Got advice from a grow question as well to flush it really good and maybe I can save the Pure Vida. The Blueberry headband is going the way of the Mac & Cheese. Really fucking sucks but it could be worse. The GG #4 is still okay, but we will see how it does since I transplanted it as well. Got some soil called Lush at the locally owned grow store. Everyone I showed the pic to said to flush it and see what happens. I think that's it for this week.

Does this look like fungus to anyone else? I was looking at the soil of a plant that is not doing well, and saw this. It could also be roots maybe?

Looks like Pythium. Its actually an algae that looks like fungus. Pythium is also called water mold. It comes with garden soil. It likes wet soil and high nitrogen fertilizer. And it flows with water. Guano over dose could easily kills plant root and promote Pythium. Why on one plant and not another? Some strains feeds more heavily than another. General idea is that Indica feeds more and can take more water. Some breeder put up information on feeding and "irrigation" tolerance. What to do with Pythium? I put a beneficial fungus call Trichoderma in the soil. I spread about and kill off most of the unwanted fungus. For guano and other garden fertilizer, start with one third the strength. My Sativa takes only 1/4th strength. And Indica usually takes up to 1/2 to 2/3rd strength. Good luck

7:29PM - Three new plants in the grow tent. Just watered. GG #4 (lone survivor) - 2oz water Holy Grail Kush (new cutting, potted 11/19) - 2oz water Pure Vida (new cutting, just potted) - 4oz water North Shore Maui (new cutting, just potted) - 4oz water Note: watered the GG #4 and the Holy Grail Kush a little less because they had already been watered with an unknown amount of water before I decided to measure the damn amounts and record it in notes. Temp is 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Relative humidity is 31 percent. Still have my two 32W LEDs as grow lights.

11/29/2020 6:56pm Plants are getting taller every day. Have had them on a consistent watering schedule. Have not been really messing with fertilizer as the soil i bought already had nutrients in it. I have a new liquid fertilizer, equivalent to Fox Farm's grow big but a different company. Will likely try using very small amounts mixed in with watering this week. Will see how things go. Currently happy with my system of ~4oz of water per plant every other day. Will likely change as plants get bigger. I also installed one more 32watt LED grow light as there was room for it in the tent and it was recommended. Hopefully that helps speed up growth. Been rotating plants around to make sure they're getting an even amount of light on all sides. If anyone wants to give grow advice at this stage I am open to it. I probably need to train the GG #4 as it is growing kinda wild, but honestly I kind of like it like that so we will see. Have never trained a plant before but doesn't seem too difficult. Think that's it for this week. New light is the big thing. Will update as I make changes. Documentation is kind of important I guess 🙃 --------------- 11/30/2020 9:07pm Think I need to start watering earlier or at least the same time every day. Holy Grail Kush is drooping a bit up top. The GG is still by far the largest plant. Anyway, watered 4oz for the NSM and the PV plants. Gave the GG ~5oz and the Holy Grail Kush around 3oz. Added the new 32w light and they seem to be responding well. 12/3/2020 8:11pm Everyone has been watered with 4oz of water. Just trying not to over water as this schedule of every other day or so seems to be working. I think I found a major contributor to some of my plants getting mysteriously ill (lost 3 plants). It was suggested, but pretty sure it is lack of airflow at night or during the day. I try to save money on electricity by limiting the use of my heater, but left it off all day while at work and one of my plants that is prone to stress, the North Shore Maui, showed severe signs of what I'm guessing is stress (almost dying is stress right?). As soon as I got home and found it wilting, I quarantined and gave it a little water, got some air flow going , and it perked back up. I left the fan on in the ac unit for a few days at work and haven't been having the same problems. That plant is still not doing great, but it is doing better. Am thinking about when I should switch to a flowering cycle. Six weeks in and clones are still vegging. I don't have the best setup or the best lights so that is probably a big contributor to slow growth.... but they're getting there. Need to do more homework. Temp in the grow tent is a solid 72 now and RH is 30%. They seem to like the new light for the most part. Uploaded some more pics. ‐----‐------- 12/4/2020 9:30pm Decided to give liquid fertilizer another shot. The North Shore Maui, which is now displaying some brown leaves, is in my kitchen sink for the time being. I don't know if this is smart or not but I have reason to believe due to past mistakes that if one plant is having a rough time like this it can either spread to others or it is lime a canary in a coal mine. I think I have some nuts issues in general, and possible genetic/sanitation issues from the source i get my cuttings from. Possibly sanitation issues in my own environment too, says the guy who has a plant in his kitchen sink. Mixed about a pea size amount (ok maybe a tiny bit more) with 4 oz if water and watered the North Shore Maui. If it clears up the issues with the leaves, I will try it on another plant that is otherwise healthy but might be showing early signs of trouble (GG #4 has a couple leaves at the bottom that are dying off into the soil - she is do huge though she might be wanting to flower. Who knows. Lord knows I don't). Anyway, gonna keep it in the sink for the night. Gomna make sure there is good air flow in both the apartment and in the grow tent. Here's hoping it will be successful and clear out my issues. One more thing - she has rooted in this soil, but not the aggressive, into the pot type of rooting I've seen in other plants. Maybe a genetic/strain thing as im growing 4 different strains in one tent. She just isn't rioting down as much as I would like. I want to pull the stem and feel more resistance - as of now she comes out easily (not something I tried to do, though I did repot her at one point). Usual disclaimer: I am very inexperienced and am making the most educated guesses I can based on what others on these forums have said and other articles I've read on the internet. Getting a feel for it but at some point I hope to get able to truly diagnose issues rather than just making a best guess. Confidence will come in time I hope, and hopefully not the foolish type. I dunno it's Friday night and aside from these plants and possibly a few spiders, I am alone. I just want to make sure I am doing my best for the only other living things in my apartment.

Introducing a new grow light in week six. Still vegging. Do you think this will be too much shock for my plants given their stages of growth? I've already got it hung, night time is in 3 hours, but I was thinking of maybe raising it up and slowly lowering it to other lights?

Added some beneficial fungus using a product called recharge. Plants now seem a lot thirstier (maybe because the soil health was poor before). I think I need to up pot the GG #4 soon. ‐------- 12/9/2020 7:45pm Raised the lights two rungs up on the chains they are hanging from. Maybe two or three inches. Hoping the plants will stretch a bit, and then I can switch to 12-12 and see if they will flower. The recharge product that was given to me by a very kind local grow shop employee (bought some nutes from them) has helped tremendously. Plants are looking a lot healthier and seem way thirstier. I got off the every other say watering schedule and started to do the finger in soil/weight of the pot thing. Eadier than I thought. Might be getting the hang of it. The North Shore Maui has done a lot better than it was before. I think due to getting some beneficial bacteria into the soil. New growth is dark green - still has some yellowing leaves at the bottom. The structure of this plant is a mess but I don't want to stress it too much right now, just as it is looking healthier. I did give it a little cal-mag but as far as I can tell it didn't do much. Thats it for now. ------- 12/10/2020 5:41pm Plants are starting to smell. Walked into my place after being out for a while and I can already tell it's going to be intense come flowering time 😂. I'm going to give the NSM some 4-2-2-.5 fertilizer to see if that helps with the yellowing leaves. Godspeed.

Up potted all four plants. A little more difficult to figure out when to water because I don't really know the weight of empty and full yet (will be harder i think because ilthey are much heavier and maybe less noticeable when full/dry). I am wondering - with the North Shore Maui, I have tried to give it more fertilizer, tried cal-mag, more recharge product with each watering, but still not clearing up the yellowing leaves at the bottom. Seems otherwise healthier. Once a leaf starts turning yellow, does it even reverse once the issue has been solved? New growth is green and looks good to me. Maybe I am expecting too much and just need to prune the bottom leaves. Still feel like it's telling me something though. Thats about it for now. Gonna veg a week or so more and then possibly throw another light in there and start a 12-12 light/dark cycle to start flowering.

Anything to be concerned about? This is a plant that has had a history of yellowing leaves due to I think nutrient deficiency. New leaves are coming in light/dark green. Maybe caused by being too close to the lights? (It is my shortest plant with about 1 ft distance)

Plants have been growing pretty wild. I bought some lattice to try a ghetto screen of green thing but at this point I think it's too late. 4 different strains all growing in different ways. What I have been doing to encourage growth in all areas to create bushier plants is to reposition them so lankier parts get more light. Seems to be working to a certain extent but that and the fact that my lights aren't the best has made for a pretty long veg process... at least I think. Never done this before and I think my timeline on this diary is pretty off. I'd say they're about 10 weeks maybe. I am going to have to find a solution for the smell come flowering time which I think is pretty soon. Going to ask a grow question about it but that little tent is getting cramped. My goal is not super high yields or anything - it is just to grow my own weed from start to finish. I consider it a process of learning. For instance, now I know that topping the plants might be a good idea. I just wanted my first run to be "pure". See how the plants grow without any training. It just helps me understand things big picture. Think next grow will be some DJ short blueberry from seed but I am getting ahead of myself. Have been going really light on any fertilizer. I use the recharge product that helps enrich the soil as if it is magic, with just about every watering. It really has improved things for the better. Been watering when needed - checking the top soil and, if dry, watering. At this point it seems a lot harder to overwater than in the beginnings as I haven't had any real issues with it. Growth has been pretty slow but it is probably the lights. I might throw another of the same type of light in there before flowering or when I flip the light schedule to 12-12. I just need to find a place to rig it. I'll figure that out. All plants seem happy, and I'm very glad I did not give up on the north shore Maui. It is looking more and more healthy to me and is finally starting to produce some larger leaves. Bushy as all hell but still kinda micro. Maybe it's growth was stunted? It's like a super baby right now. Kind of how I got it from clone only bigger, but the branches are still extremely close together and small compared to other strains in my garden. It is still the same basic shape. Bout to make the switch though. Wish me luck boys. 🙏

Are these little white growths a good sign? I can't tell if it is the beginning of a new leaf or if it's a sign that it might be time to start flowering soon. Sorry if it's a dumb question but I'm getting to the point where I think I need to go to 12-12 and want it to go smoothly

Well you can cut down on some of the leaves if you cut bottom one third of plant extras out. Leaves, small branches, stuff that won't get light and will rob other grow points of growing energy. I would start introducing bloom nutrition but in light amounts. Have fans and fresh air circulating 24/7. If your humidity stays below 70 I don't believe you will have issues with proper air circulation. If center of plants are super busy can defoliation a little to keep air and light available to vital spots. Hope this helps and happy growing. 🌲🌲🌲👊

Seems they have outgrown their space. A good rule of thumb is to flip the switch to 1212 once you have achieved half your desired plant size. Some varieties can stretch two to three times once they've been flipped to flower. You may need to perform some late lst to control them but they will keep pushing on as it early in your flowering stage. Topping in this stage may stunt them entirely. I'm not 100%.

Flipped to 12-12 on December 30th. Immediately the humidity went up. I don't know if this is correlation and not causation, but nothing else has changed. I might need to get over my stubbornness about harming the plants in any way. I tried to do LST but broke a stem on the Holy Grsil Kush. It was a nice top too. But here are current issues: 1) Pretty soon gonna need a carbon filter. It is not illegal to grow where I live but I have neighbors who might not appreciate the smell. 2) Plants, which so far have been completely untamed, seem to want to grow up to about 2 or 3 inches from the lights. I tried to fix this without topping, but damaged the plant anyway. I was trying to shape it using a trellis but just broke it instead. 3) Due to work schedule, I have less time to work with the plants. Right now the holy grail kush is taped up but I then read that when you damage a plant you should go ahead and water. I don't know how true this is but it is off schedule and night time in the tent right now, which I don't want to disturb. Hope it makes it through the night. If anyone has any pointers please let me know. I think I fucked up by not training early, but live and learn. Theg will still flower Hopefully. Happy new year all 🤙✌️

Looks like I'm going to have to defoliate a bit but I hate to do it. I love those leaves. Most are still looking pretty green though! Even towards the bottom. North Shore Maui is growing slowly vertically and seems to be kicking over to flowering. First time so hard to tell but they are all looking different. Whispy hairs then buds. :) Plants are thirsty as hell and I am slowly adding Bloom nutrients to acclimate them. The organic stuff stinks... not gonna lie. I'd say half a teaspoon per watering. Been keeping the soil as healthy as possible. Some roots want to stay exposed so I am adding a little soil here and there as it erodes. I am going to post the bottom of the North Shore Maui to see if it's a problem or not. Looks pretty ugly. Things seem to be doing okay. Doing my best to keep the apt dark as possible at night so there is no light bleed. Also, bought a little fan and that solved the high humidity problem quickly. Still using the recharge product with every watering. Don't think I can overdo it. Want to try the living soil thing next time I think. Really excited to see what comes next in their development. Growing weed has made the pandemic much more manageable. Happy growing everyone. ----- 01/14/2020 Took them out of the tent. Feel bad for them... they now know what real sunlight tastes like. They look fuckimg gorgeous in natural light. Took a bunch of pics mostly. Defoliated the nsm but left everything else ------ 1/17/20 Dem flowers lookin nice to me 🙂

Your leaves are fine. The plants will always stretch in this stage of flowering. For flowering you want light about 18 to 20 inches away for most lights. Some are way brighter then others. Wikipedia.. You are my only friend.. A quick little search into Spinosad indicates they are Organic and can be used in Organic Agricultural. So when used with Caution and this early into flower.. I'd say GROW FOR IT :)., "Spinosad has high efficacy, a broad insect pest spectrum, low mammalian toxicity, and a good environmental profile, a unique feature of the insecticide compared to others currently used for the protection of grain products.[5] It is regarded as natural product-based, and approved for use in organic agriculture by numerous national and international certifications."

Ended up identifying a pest with the help of this community- thrips. They are really bad on a few leaves but then others show no damage. Last night, sprayed some spinodad on all the leaves, around the tent, under the leaves, the soil, etc. Trying to avoid flowers but kind of difficult. It is not incredibly toxic, and multiple more experienced growers have recommended it to me. So I sprayed em down during night cycle. Will spray them again tonight, then again in 5 days as there could still be eggs. I hate having to kill pests but gotta do it I guess. I have actually though of predator species but maybe too advanced for a first grow. I should have taken care of the thrips earlier. I saw them on the leaves and they have been there since I got some of them from clones. Does not affect all leaves it seems, but the leaves they do affect it goes pretty hard. Other than that I am still in awe of the flowering process. I am adding elevated organics Bloom nutes in small amounts. About a teaspoon per gallon per plant. The don't seem to be reacting negatively so I might feed them a little more often. Things are going good until they aren't. Just wanna get rid of the thrips before they start getting comfy in my buds. 😁🤙 ---------- 1/21/2021 Just offloaded some pics of the flowering. It's beautiful to watch it, and it happens so fast. Even have trichromes and everything! I think I need to raise the lights just a little bit more and I'll be golden. The North Shore Maui... I guess I never figured out what was wrong with that one. Maybe shocked too early and never really recovered. It is flowering but not like the 3 other plants in my garden. Genetics + grower that couldn't solve the issue I guess. But watching the bud makes me smile. Happy growing 🤙😁🤘 --------- 01/22/2020 Just a bunch of pictures. Flowers are nice. Raised lights 1 chain link to keep plants that have stopped stretching in a good 12 inch distance from the light. I need to measure more. So much is just estimation. North Shore Maui's buds are not looking nearly as good and that plant is having problems fighting for light I think. I don't know. I've tried beneficial fungus/bacteria, tried fertilizer slat different strengths. I don't know. Happy about other plants but what needs to be done about the nsm

Little bit of defoliation last week I found out I had thrips, and sprayed the plants pretty food with the Monterey product everyone uses. Followed instructions ajd all that. It might have solved the thrips issue, but I think spraying it overnight in my tent increased the humidity too much and now I'm noticing some mould. Defoliated anywhere I could find it. Going to spray the plants with another product tonight. The humidity thing is just a guess but man shit sucks. Most flowers looking great. I am trying to lower the temp and humidity during this process. I dunno how much time I'm even going to give them. I hope I get some nice big buds. Guess it's just a matter of trial and error. Also been feeding Bloom product just about every watering. Still figuring this out. People talking about flushing and all these other things. Honestly they seem tl do best when I minimize what I do to them. Or I need to get much better at using preventative techniques. It's interesting as hell at this point. No real flowering smell so far. We'll see. ---- Got a little garage light thing for more natural lighting when asking grow questions. People always ask for pics with better lighting - sorry it took me so long to get the hint folks 🤠 Uploaded some new pics ------ 01/28/2021 Sprayed a product called Lost Coast Plant Therapy during night cycle last night and tonight. It doesn't seem like it is harming the plants at all. In fact they looked healthier today. I think I still habe some mold... I will look tomorrow. Will probably watering and feeding as well. Can't believe I've made it to this point. ‐-------- 01/30/2021 Getting humidity down by adding a few more fans, opening the windows etc. Trying to keep it below 40%, ideally at around 30%. Don't want mould to get on my flowers. Next time I will dial it in tighter. This time I am learning a ton. Still though... I love my flowers. They don't smell too strongly... yet. Hm lastig te zien. Zou je een duidelijke foto willen maken met je lamp uit, zodat we de natuurlijke kleuren van de plant kunnen zien? Bedankt 🙂

I am at the point where I am running out of nutrients and it might be time to flush a few of these plants for a couple of weeks before chopping them. Because I didn't do much defoliation, the bottom of most plants do not look incredibly healthy. They seem thirsty so I have been feeding them. Just eye balling the nutes. I know which plants can take a lot and which ones to go very light on. Not the best practices at all, and really most of what you see here that looks good is plain old genetics imo. I just mostly tried to stay out of the way. Air flow is freaking great. Humidity levels have been a pretty steady 35 to 45 RH through the whole process so far. Can I flower these things indefinitely? I dunno if they're going to fatten up or what. Looking back I'm disappointed in myself for not catching problems sooner and then when I caught them maybe not going as hard as I can to fix the issue. I THINK the thrips are gone, at least mostly, and I'm not seeing any more mould. Doing some preventative spraying every couple nights and like I have said, it appears to be helpful and at the very least not harmful. Gonna ask some grow qs about harvest. Thanks for reading if anyone is actually following this.

Still drying so can't fill out most of this right now. Don't have a scale but once dry I'm sure I'll figure something out.

After doing very light trimming, I can see why they call it gorilla glue. Scissors were extremely sticky. Might actually get a few more of these for my next grow and just focus on them.
