Soaked these beans overnight in a glass of Ph neutral water, after which the paper towel method was followed. 2 popped with long roots, while 1 popped but had a tiny tail. Decided to sow the 2 and give 1 some more time to germinate further. Took 3 days for them to sprout. What a relief!

Day 1: 2 out of the 3 girls shot out of the soil, while one is eagerly awaited to pop. Blossom shot out but cotyledons yet to emerge, while Buttercup stood tall, loving the humidity domes around her. Bubbles germinated a day late, so we're still hoping she pops tomorrow. Day 2 : Blossom stands tall with her cotyledons out, had to help her with her seed shell. Buttercup appears taller than Blossom and seems to have her second layer of leaves out. Bubbles isn't out yet. Sprayed the humidity dome and trying to maintain high humidity levels for her to sprout. Day 3: Bubbles has popped! She is 2 days younger than her sisters, and is looking good! Day 4: All 3 girls are standing tall. Buttercup seems to be the tallest, but unsure if she is stretching or just growing. Will keep a close watch on her to intervene when necessary. About 50 - 60ml of water was given to all 3. We would be looking into maintaining RH over 55% as its dips over the day. Day 5 and 6: The girls are loving life as we try to keep conditions optimal. Thinking of lowering the lights about an inch or two. Hoping to see faster growth in the next week. Day 7: New set of leaves are out for Blossom and Buttercup, while Bubbles seems to growing slightly slower than her sisters, but will give her time to show her complete physical traits in the coming days.

One of my seedlings has her first set of leaves slightly lime green as compared to her sister. What does that indicate?

Also, seedlings at this stage require about 10ml of fresh water with no food, per day. 800ml per day seems drastically high to me. You want to apply a minimal amount of water at the base of the stem until the plant has developed a bigger rhizome. Hope this helps,

Hey, Looking at you diary, I would bet that is cause by low ph. You ideally want to maintain a range between 6.2 and 6.8, in soil. Cheers,

да, братан! mr.Canada прав! Кроме всего, новый рост всегда светлее в оттенке зеленого, нежели выросшие листья. Следуй совету mr.Canada 🙂👍

Day 7 to 14: This week saw some ups and down. The growth is more or less slow but steady. The girls showed some light burns on the leaf tips so the lights we increased in height and the intensity reduced from 50% to 30%. The newer growth above looks healthy however. The RH for the environment has been steadily decreasing, however the PH is maintained and never above 6.5 - 6.8 (soil). Today (Day 14) the girls were watered till run off (PH 6.5), since we plan to begin with their first feed tomorrow. Blossom flopped over during the watering since the can poured directly on her by accident. Helped her up and adjusted the soil around her to keep her straight. Hope that doesn't stun her very much. Really hope to see some explosive growth next week, and for them to get stronger to start training.

End of week 2 and the girls have grown slow. When can I expect thicker growth? Have the light burns at this stage stunned them in anyway? Going to start feeding them now (week 3). Any advice would be appreciated! 🙏

I wouldn’t worry. They are slow the first couple weeks. Check out other diaries like mine and you’ll see how slow they can be at the beginning!

Hey, just checked out your diary, noticed you have your seedlings directly in 5 gal pots, and I also noticed you said you flushed them till they had run off this weak. So 2 problems here, 1 your pots are way to big for your seedlings if you are new to growing. Yes it is a nice idea to put your seedling directly in it’s large pot, removing the need for transplants later on and stress, but only if you are aware how to do this, most new growers who do this will drown there plant slowly but surly. 2, your definitely overwatering. You stated you flushed it this week till you had run off, that’s way to much water. Your plant roots are not even close to big enough to handle that much water. You will need to let them dry completely out, then only feed water around the plant base enough to soak down as much as the plant is tall, if that makes sense... lol picture your roots basically the same size and depth as what you plant is above the soil, then try to water only that amount of area until she is much bigger and can handle a full watering. Hope this helps, Cheers💨

The girls have entered week 3 and are growing slowly, but steadily. Raised the lights slightly since I felt the internodal space was kinda small. Fed them their first nutes. Will be just watering them for 3 days, and give them their seconds feed after that. Waiting to see how they respond to the feed.

Inter nodal space is short. Should I increase the height of the LEDs? The stem is thin too. The plants are entering week 4 tomorrow.

maybe your light is too close to the plant and it doesn't allow it to grow taller, and also maybe you should increase the light intensity if you can. let me know how things went for the sweet ladie. cheers

This week saw faster growth with the girls. The positions of the posts where switched inside the grow tent since one plant seemed be getting better light on one side. Buttercup is not looking very good since some brown spots have appeared on the leaves, and the size of her stem and fan leaves are quite small compared to her sisters. Flushing the pot to break down any salts. The other two are responding well to the nutrients. We wont be feeding buttercup nutrients for the next cycle, and just plain water and hopes she bounces back.
