Today I believe is day 68 from seed! This is my first grow in 10 years! Any input would be AMAZING ! I’m in no rush! Just want the best quality!
Zkittles #1 hydrofarm drip bucket - Leaves started yellowing this week. Taking out nutrients? I hope!
I’m still super new so I’m not sure whether to give more nutes or start the flush. Seems like harvest time for the first Zkittkes! Would love input! I cracked a branch moving, oops trichomes look amber on some but most plant looks clear not many milky. I taped the branch up with a pop stick. No harm no foul right? 😂 They first sprouted September 7th and put under the 3000 watt on September 12th.
I’m using advanced nutrients expert for the 2 hydros and basic for the soil. Was doing a comparison for next grow to decide whether to do just do 1 or 2 hydro or soil. If I could get similar results with less work from soil that would be preferable.
Leaf septoria may be showing signs? Didn’t want to over combat with nutrients never seem to be a issue in hydro I just defoliate. Soil seems to be a little more visible unless it in fact is a deficiency.
Zkittles #2 in fox farm soil looks like it’s lacking something! I just tried to do the basic chart instead of expert like hydroponics. Could be the limited grow area as well cause the brown spots. I’ll upload more pics if someone can help!
Blackberry is also in Hydroponics. 5 gallon bucket, airline tube, air stone, Done!! Tried this $12 set up compared to the hydro farm unit I’m using for the Zkittles! Only difference I can see is roots are way more white in hydro farm. Guess light leaking into bucket causing algae? Doesn’t seem to be an issue. I applied Mylar tape in some areas to control. Hopefully next grow I can find a cover! The bud smells phenomenal! The color and bud structure I absolutely love and it’s been super east to grow. Resin production isn’t anywhere near the zkittles but seems like it’s just a little slower grower! Surprising being more Indica. Still a really fun grow!
Welcome back to cultivation. alot has changed my friend :) 10 years is a very long time and its probably when I read my first book on cultivation. So this is normal beleive it or not my friend. Foxtailing as its called in the buiness its what its called when the buds are searching for more light think of it like when a seedlings stretches for the light the bud will do the same :) it in no way hurts your yield or potency so I would not worry my friend just keep and eye on them trichomes good luck with the harvest :) 👊
