Hey y’all. First diary, 3rd grow.
Managed to pop all 15 in damp paper towels with a sprinkling of Great White.
Just transferred them to organic sponge pellets pre soaked in Rootit first feed as per instructions. 5ml per litre.
Temperature between 21-25.
So after I popped the beans they had 2 days under a CLF in a prop 90% humidity 27c.
Potted up to 4inch pots using 60/40 coco/pebbles with mixed in ecothrive charge meal worm castings.
Got them under 1 kind LED xl600 series2 at 48inch.
They’ve been given a weak feed, RO water grow/micro/bloom and root execrator @ ec 0.4.
Next feed I’ll add calmag and try and keep EC nice and low. Watering till 20% run off.
Never had seeds so hoping they are where they should be after 4 days since they broke ground.
Peace bros and bro-ets ✌️🏽
Had a good week.
Rookie mistake when I potted up was leaving the stems long, I should have buried them deeper. Had to prop them up with sponge.
Lowered my lights from 48inch, 2inch’S a day till they are now at 36inch.
Had a fan on them all week and they are much stronger.
Backed off my temps and lowered my humidity a little.
Still running basic nutes in RO’d water. When they can take more I’ll add in some B+ and royal gold.
Gave one feed of EC 0.8 ph 5.7 to run off on Monday.
Gave RO water ph 5.9 to run off on Thursday.
Plants looking a little over watered so dropped my humidity to 50% and running my day temp a little higher, 26c.
Going to pot up into final 8.5litre pots on the weekend.
I’ll plant them all the same height and water with EC 0.8 mix and Great white on root zone.
Happy with everything so far.
First leaves started to yellow a bit so kept an eye on things. Once they got brown spots I was sure it was a mag deficiency so upped Calmag on next feed. Probably due to potting up and coco leaching nutrients along with PH too low. Running PH 6.0 with run off of 6.5 so happy that’s fixed the problem.
They are loving their new pots, growth has been great all week. Seem to like the higher temps. 26-27c and 50% humidity. Feeding at 0.6-0.8 plain water every other feed if they are looking too dark.
All the girls are looking fit and well.
Topping to 3rd node this weekend and starting to LST.
Cheers for stopping by ✌️🏽
Topped at 2nd node start of the week and growth has been steady all week.
After Mag deficiency I started to get signs of Phosphorus deficiency so lowered my PH added a little bloom and upped my EC to 1.0.
Trying to keep my feeds on the low side after the problems I ran into on first 2 grows getting Nute burnt. (I was at 2.0 by now!)
Just plumbed in my auto pots. Wanted to wait to see if all the lady’s were healthy before I made the decision on 8 or 12 plants.
Happy with all 12 so I’ll top again end of next week and lower my scrog.
Lollie pop, light defoliation so should be ready to flip in 2-3 more weeks.
Cheers for stopping by folks ✌️🏽
I’ve been LST’ing them to keeping them flat at around 8 inch. Just topped for a second time today (10 days since first).
Got 2inch to go to reach the net then I’ll Lollie pop while spacing the heads out and flip shortly after.
They look ready for a bit more feed so upped my EC to 1.2.
Thanks for stopping by.
All the best folks ✌️🏽
Had to leave the lady’s while I was away for the holidays (5 days unattended).
Topped and LST’d before I went and filled my 100l autopot tank.
Came back to a disappointing amount of growth, thought it was due to recovery after topping for the second time but things didn’t improve.
Turns out I had a leak in my air out just after my O-zone generator so not only had I not been getting rid of the CO2 depleted air but I had been adding O3.
Tapped up my leak and within 12 hours they sprang into life!
Lost a few days growth on the foliage but on the plus side the roots will have kept on going.
I’m now super cropping any taller growth to allow for the rest to reach my net then I’m ready to flip.
I’ll lollie pop end of stretch, week 2/3 once they are done with the nitrogen and I change my nutrient ratios.
Thanks for stopping by folks ✌️🏽
*I run my extraction with an O-zone generator during veg to lower any slight smell I have then connect my carbon filter during flower.
In my opinion there’s not much need for carbon during veg and it helps my fans run on lower settings also my filters last twice as long.
I wanted another weeks growth so my roots would be maxed and my mains were the same height before the flip. I lollipopped everything under the scrog height, all leaves, bud sights and suckers.
I feel I could have too many main heads for my grow space. 12 plants topped twice so 8 mains per plant......😬.
Upon reading a few reviews these girls bush out somewhat so I’ll probably have to prune and defoliate to keep things in check.
Ive been super cropping to let everything catch up.
Today I flipped to 12/12 and brung my night temps up to match my day to slow the stretch to get better internode spacings.
I’ll keep them on veg nutes till beginning of week 3 then change them over to bloom and get my temperature difference back for bud growth.
Ordered a Quantum PAR meter so I can better dial in my light intensity/EC/temp and CO2 for bud production.
I know a lot of you don’t ‘fuck about’ as much as others but I’m loving the whole experience.
Feel like everything from the first two grows is starting to make sense.
cheers for stopping by ✌️🏽
Wow, what a week! 7inches of stretch!
I hoped to reduce stretch by having night temps the same as day and leaving the lights so they grew into them but they haven’t slowed! Lights currently at 20 inch (recommended 30inch) They are beasts.
Looking forward to getting my PAR meter so I can start fine tuning EC, temps and CO2 after stretch.
I’m not wanting to defoliate much but I’m going to have to thin things out a bit during week 3.
Enviro controllers doing a good job of maintaining my temps and humidity.
Autopots are giving them what ever they need when they need it, just have to fill the tank once a week(currently at EC 1.7) I don’t like giving them cold water so while I wait for my heater to heat the water i give them plain PH’d water from a small tank in my grow space.
I’ve had to super crop a couple of mains that were far too far ahead but otherwise just letting them do their thing.
Cheers for stopping by y’all ✌️🏽
Between 7 and 9 inch of stretch since last week! Probably due to over crowding since night and day temps are the same and lights are nice and close 🤷♂️🏼
Girls are all looking good.
Started dropping a couple of bottom leaves so upped the N and the EC from 1.7 to 2.0.
Flowers started beginning of this week so added bud start and a few carbs and I’m calling this week 1.
Kept lights 18ich all week.
PAR meter still not here so I’m guessing lights/ppfd at these heights but they seem to be loving it. Not too fussed at the moment but when stretch is over I want to start CO2 and get lights/temps/humidity(vpd)/EC dialed in.
Thanks for stopping by folks ✌️🏽
Stretch pretty much stopped after 2 weeks and buds are forming nicely.
Raised my temps to 30c and added CO2 @1000ppm.
Keeping VPD low (leaf temp 30 and humidity 65%) till buds get bigger then I’ll lower humidity to under 50%.
Running EC @ 2.0 while using CO2.
PH 6.0-6.3.
Plants started dropping a few lower leaves but canopy is really thick and the girls are stretched out so no light getting down to net level.
Thanks for stopping by ✌️🏽
Chugging along nicely.
Managing to keep temps 30c and humidity 65%.
PPFD 900-1500.
CO2 1200-1500ppm.
Everything is getting pretty dusty and sticky.
I’ll have to drop humidity soon but got 3 fans in at the min.
Thanks for stopping by ✌️🏽
Found the tallest plants (which are only 8inch from light with a ppfd of 1500-1600) the leaves had started to yellow.
Moved left side up to max height for my space (11 inch ppfd 1200).
Also found my root zone was ph6, my meter isn’t the best so ran some water out the auto pot through my bluelab probe and it was only 5.8. Pretty low for flower so put them on plain PH’d water 6.4 over night to boost it up.
Took the opportunity to do some much needed maintenance.
Drained and cleaned main tank. Definitely not running carbs next time. The gunk was really bad.
Had to clean and flush each autopot float system.
Everything nice and clean for last half of flower.
PH 6.1
PPFD 900-1200 (on canopy top)
EC 1.9
Humidity 65%
CO2 1200-1500
Thanks for stopping by ✌️🏽
Tallest plants are getting autumn colours a bit early, probably due to lights height being maxed out and plants being too close.
Had to make a bamboo trellis to hold everything up, tops are gaining weight fast.
Supposed to be 8.5-10 week strain so probably start gradually bringing CO2, temps, humidity and EC down over the next 2 weeks.
Trichomes are all clear/cloudy as expected so I’ll be keeping an eye on them over the next couple of weeks. 🤞🏽
Thanks for stopping by folks
Knocked the gas off this week and lowered my temps/humidity/EC.
All trichomes have turned milky so just waiting for some amber.
Since I stopped CO2 there’s been a little bit of growth, it’s a 8-10 week strain so might have a little way to go, What you guys think?
Thanks for stopping by ✌️🏽
After I knocked the gas off last week I noticed one plant had nanna’d, definitely due to being too close to the lights.
Decided to finish this week and chop.
Plain water for 3 days followed by 3 days in the dark with water off and low temps.
Trimmed all the fan leaves and hung them up.
Gutted but not sure how long the nannas have been there and how fast this strain pop seeds.
All trichomes are cloudy so doubt they would have put on much weight, would still like to have gone another 7-10 days.
I’ll keep you posted on dry weight.
Cheers for stopping by ✌️🏽
Bud was really dense but small nugs.
I was hoping for higher yield but light stress and finishing early didn’t help.
Hoping next time to allow more room for stretch after flip.
Thinking I should have defoliated week 3 of flower to let better light penetration.
