1. I've selected Amnesia Haze from my auto tent to document in Grow Diaries. I've grown this strain before, but with different lights, nutrients, and growing medium.
2. I started my seed in filtered water for 24+ hours. Then I transferred the seed to a moist paper towel until a tap root had emerged.
3. Once I had a tap root, I planted the sprout in a 3g canvas sack using Batch 64 coco-based medium. The day prior to planting the seedling I thoroughly saturated the growing medium with Recharge.
4. The seedling broke the surface after 5 days.
5. I actually had to start 2 different seeds. The 1st seed opened to reveal the cotyledon leaves instead of a tap root. It never broke the surface of the soil. The 2nd seed germinated and sprouted just fine.
1. AH is off and running!
2. Right now I have her under a humidity dome. I'll remove the dome when the growth accelerates, or she outgrows it.
3. So far I've only watered once since she broke the surface. I gave her 400ml of Recharge water. Other than that I've been misting daily.
4. She is growing in Batch 64 soil. It is a coco-based soil with amendments.
1. 2nd week above ground. Nothing much has gone on really. She is developing her first set of true leaves.
2. AH received her first fertigation this week. Up until now, I've been misting her daily and using 400ml measuring cups to water around the outside of the plastic cup.
3. AH received about 1l of fertilized filtered water. At the same time I removed the dome to allow more direct light for the sprout. The light continues to be anchored at the top of the tent. Once she hits her vegetative phase, I'll determine if the lights need to be lowered.
1. My little sproutling is progressing nicely. She has started on her 3rd node. There is also starting to be some space between nodes.
2. I just finished my 3rd feeding. I'll use Recharge only next time.
1. AH is cruising along. I think she is past her early veg. stage, so I increased her veg. nutes to the mid-vegetative schedule.
2. I'm currently fertigating about 2l every 2-3 days. Once she develops her root system, I'll be giving her 2l every other day.
3. I don't think I'll do any extensive training, or topping on this auto. I'll probably prune away the bottom bud sites when she starts to flower, but otherwise I'm going to let her do her thing.
1. AH is officially flowering. I saw some pre-flowering last week, but I was hoping for another week or so of veg. growth.
2. I did a little defoliation of some of the upper fan leaves. They were shading the secondary bud sites and I wanted to clear that away.
3. Once she is a week or so further into flowering, I'll do a major defoliation and pruning. I'm hoping she stretches a few more inches before that.
4. Otherwise she looks very healthy, just small. Last time I grew this strain, she was almost 30 inches.
1. The tiniest auto I've ever grown is looking mighty healthy. She is only 11", but the overall plant looks very healthy and the buds are starting to fill in nicely.
2. I'm using the Mid-Flowering Schedule for my feedings. She is asking for fertigation about every 2nd day now.
1. Not much change this week. I've done a bit of trimming to keep the bud sites in the light. Other than that there isn't much to do. She is short and squat and producing phat buds!
2. Interesting story though. Look at my other Amnesia Haze grow. This one looks completely different. No resemblance at all. As a matter of fact, this plant looks exactly like an AFGooey grow I did last spring. The AFGooey was supposed to be a photo. I topped and trained her then she just started flowering. She never grew to be more than 16 inches tall. The leaves were the exact saw-toothed dark green leaves as this plant. The buds were dense and compact. Not much smell, but they were very crystally and dropped a lot of kief when I harvested. I'd swear they were twins.
!. It won't be long now! She was starting to look a little frosty so I got out my loupe to check the trichomes. They are mostly white. The buds are starting to take their final form now as well. Pistils are turning colors and retreating to the buds. Calyxes are starting to swell, and the smell has definitely increased.
2. I switched to the Late Flowering Schedule for feeding. I'll probably give her a few feedings then switch to NFTG flushing schedule to finish up. I thing she should be ready for harvest in about 2 weeks or so.
1. It's getting near the end. Leaves are fading fast. The pistils have really pulled back and are a nice burnt orange. Trichomes are mostly cloudy. I haven't seen any amber ones yet.
2. I will water/flush 2x more then harvest. That puts harvest mid-next week.
3. This is easily the smallest plant I've ever harvested. I've noticed that growing autos is more of an adventure. You never know what you're going to get. I've grown this same strain 3x and each of them has been different.
Smoked a phatty as soon as I was done trimming and jarring my new bud. It was a little harsh, but the sweet, fruity flavor was definitely there. A little curing and she will be golden. The initial hit produced a really heady effect. I had to sit down and think about it for a little bit. Definitely a more psychedelic high. I'm outta this particular strain of seeds. I doubt I will buy it again. I'm starting to steer away from auto-flowers. I would grow this strain from Seedsman again if they had the same strain in photoperiod.
This was a relatively easy strain to grow. I've grown it once before and had really good results. This time was a little more stressful. The first seed didn't germinate at all. The 2nd seed germinated and grew fine, but the plant is the smallest one I've ever grown. Buds are nice and compact. It's also really sticky. My only issue is the stability of the strain.
