Sleep only CannaBoom CBD+
I have strange family members who wants to go to sleep but they do not want to get high. I don’t get it. To me, if you are not doing anything, might as well get high and then fall asleep.
However, I usually ran out of CBD buds faster than my other buds. There are people who don’t want to get high.
Right of the package, CannaBoom CBD plus looks promising. Seeds are big and fat with solid color. And it took only four days from seed package to first two pairs of leaves.
This round, I don’t want to loose them to damping off by Pythium.
These were the things that I focused on during germination:
1) Soil mix
Instead just adding fertilizer to old soil. I am making an effort to mix soil that drains better. I used: coconut husk 2 parts, earth worm casting 2 parts, old soil 1 part.
Yup, I still like fertilized soil, still like old soil.
Added a fistful of Trichoderma spp. (soil type with five different Trichoderma strains).
2) Soil preparation method.
I mixed soil a day before planting seeds. And Trichoderma would colonize the entire batch to prevent diseases.
I, then, water the container, remove floating coconut husk. And most importantly, I did not compact soil. There is better drainage.
I normally compact soil tight before placing seeds. I like to see my container full. And I don’t like it when soil settle and shrink. Logically, plants won’t stay more than a couple of weeks in starter pots. Plus I’ll be changing to a bigger pot any way. Again, keeping the soil naturally loose would be a better idea.
3) Seed placing method
And instead of pour in water after placing seed. I pumped my bottle and spray the top part of the soil. This prevents seedling from floating up from loose soil.
Activity log:
Seeding
Germination day 1 – soaked in diluted hydrogen peroxide solution. Seeds were Indica size but with no zebra stripe. After 24 hours they cracked.
Germination day 2 – put in cotton pad and propped up vertically. After 24 hours, seeds sprouted 3 mm tails.
I laid the seed flat and then I went out to exercise. And in three hours, half a millimeter of root had grown sideway.
Transplanted all seeds in 500 cc planter cups.
Germination day 3 Seedlings poked up out of the ground.
I kept the seedling container exposed to the weather and did not cover it. High humidity may cause mold.
Germination day 4
True leave showed on two seedlings. One is a bit slower.
Germination day 5
The slowest seedling disappeared entirely. So, there are only two left. I really should secure the space for germination. Cannabis seeds are not cheap.
Moving on. Keep my finger crossed. Making horn sign. Press thumbs. Put the two seedlings in my light box.
As the two plants going through their paces. The bigger plant keeps getting bigger. The smaller plant is serviceable. However, I have too many things going on. So, I am keeping only the big Cannaboom CBD+ plant.
Think I’ll keeping smaller one for a few weeks then I would quickly put her to flower to see how she behave during flowering phase.
Growing at moderate speed, Cannaboom CBD+ is neither fast nor slow. I am keeping one plant in the light box. The smaller plant is outside until I no longer have space.
By the end of the third week, Cannaboom CBD+ is 8 cm tall.
Very nice! Cannaboom CBD+ looks like an Indica CBD.
I am used to industrial hemp style CBD weed. Indica is easier with fertilizing and watering. And Cannaboom CBD+ is compact. I hope for a more chunky cola.
I already want to keep Cannaboom CBD+. Looks like I have to get rid of my 9’s to make room for her.
By the end of week 4, Cannaboom CBD+ is fully ready to go out side.
Cannaboom CBD+ first week outside was a happy week.
She is looking like a nice and compact plant. Comparing to stretched Indica type, she is slower. Last week she gained about three inches inch every two days. And she is about 37 cm tall.
There is a big difference between the primary plant and the runt. Runt plant is also growing and is about 23 cm tall. I a couple of weeks, I’ll put the runt into flower as an disposable test plant.
Cannaboom CBD+ had not gained that much height but she is thick and stout. Second week in 7-litres pot, she is standing at 50 cm tall with big leaves.
I decided to change her pot. And it was a good thing. Cannaboom CBD+ roots filled up the pot. And she started to get root bound. Looks like Mycorrhiza not only augment root system but make root grow better as well.
Cannaboom sure can use plenty of root space. I better plan to put her in 80-liters pot during flowering phase.
The runt root is half the size of her big sister. I guess that she weight about one third of the bigger plant. I am transferring her to an two-gallons pot. In a couple of weeks, I’ll put his runt plant to flower for and early taste test.
Weather was hot. Daily high temperature was around 36 degree. And it was fairly dry. The relative humidity was at 50% during the day and 90% in the night. T
here was not feeding this week other than tap water.

With more root room Cannaboom CBD+ started to grow againb. She is 70 cm tall.
The runt root is also picked up growing pace. She is 40 cm tall in her sweet little 6-liters pot.
Next week, I am putting her into flower to test flowering behavior and early smore test.
Both girls were fed with a quarter strength phosphorous orchid fertilizer.
A beetle is visiting my cannabis patch. Something must be drawing him. And near by plant is showing leaf discoloration again. Oh well, more anti-bug microbe next week. This is a plight of outdoor grow.
Cannaboom CBD+ gained about 20 cm and is 90 cm tall. Her form is a nice round bush.
I trimmed off some lower branches that are not doing anything useful. If later I want to take clone, there are plenty of candidates.
The runt root is also picked up growing pace. She is 55 cm tall in 7-liters pot.
Kept her in this pot for one last week. And next week, I am putting her into flower.
Both girls were fed with a quarter strength phosphorous orchid fertilizer and fish tea.
Cannaboom CBD+ main plant is big an robust. She looks like a good salad plant. :D :D :D . She gained another 20 cm and is 110 cm tall bush. Looks like trimming is wanted. I’ll get my clipper out and start nibbing this afternoon.
Fed her with fish bone tea and manure. She is growing too big and too fast while I have limited flowering slots. So, she has to wait about a month before I would put her into flower. I am playing delay tactic on her.
Runt plant transitioned really fast. Good flower development only after a week.
Both girls were fed with a only fish tea.
By the end of January, Thailand is moving one step closer to legalization. It is far from full legalization but the progress had been steady.
As it is, only approved hemp varieties can be grown. Problem with these varieties is that they are generally 3 meters (10 ft tall). Worse, they have maximum 1 percent CBD content with of 0.5 percent THC. With these, small farmer can not compete with mega farm with similar fiber hemp.
For home use, Cannaboom CBD+ has higher CBD content with less than approved variety. Height is shorter. Flowering time is faster.
Cannaboom CBD+ is much more promising from home grown medicine.
Let’s wait and see how politic will play out in Cannabis legalization in this neck of the wood.
About the plants:
Cannaboom CBD+ main plant is 120 cm tall. And she is good to go into flowering. Her queue for her flowering slot will be ready in about two to three weeks.
Cannaboom CBD+ keeps developiong. For a 50/50 Indica/Sativa plant, she does has thick stem and is more with Indica fashion. I trimmed off lower branches some more.
Fed her vegging nutes made from with guano tea and fish bone tea. No burn yet so I fed her twice this week and push her a little.
Runt plant second flowering weeks starting to look grand. Flowers is developing in hybrid style. Not as thick and fast as an Indica but certainly faster than land race Sativa. I trimmed of smaller branches.
For runt plant, I am more interested in testing the effect than productivity.
Cannaboom CBD+ last week in veg. And I fed her twice with guano tea.
Cannaboom plant 1 is good to go to flowering spot. Her top cola is still okay. Mid cola’s started to pre-flower. And lower cola’s have young flowers.
Runt plant 4th flowering weeks is plodding along. Flower buds are small and fluffy. This is the pattern that I am accustomed to for CBD plants. Some pistils started to turn brown. I think she is a brunette.
I wonder if I can blend my weed before I smoke. I like the effect of a 50/50 Sativa Indica that has 2% CBD. Wonder if I can get effect from blending buds from three strains. Well, gotta wait until this runt plant is dry.
Since I am spraying insecticide for my other grows, I am spraying spinetoram on Cannaboom CBD+. I don’t want to get caught with bugs issues in late bloom.
Cannaboom CBD+ plant 1 in flowering spot. Since she was so ready to go, she transition to flower quickly. It seemed like second week into flower.
Runt plant 5th flowering weeks is progressing well. This week she put on weight hurriedly. Her flower put out fragrance that is like Indian sandal wood incense. It reminds me of Juanita Lagrimosa CBD.
I am feeding Cannaboom CBD+ lightly and gave her a quarter strength fertilizer. Looks like there is only one more week of feeding.
Bugs seemed to subside. And I spray the girls with anti-bugs microbes as preventive action.
Cannaboom CBD+ plant 1 is in her second flowering week. There was a winter storm and it rained heavily. There was no issue with Cannaboom CBD+ in her transitioning stage.
After heavy rain, I sprayed her once with Trichoderma anti-mold microbes.
No sign of bugs. Wet storm usually drown some bugs eggs and the hatchlings that were unlucky enough to still be in the soil.
Runt plant 6th flowering weeks is went very well. She looks ready. Her smell reminds me of apothecary shop. Dried buds from broken branch smelled like eucalyptus.
And I had a chance to try CBD effect on pain relieve. Thanks to comment from @MINIMO I blended only about 10% of CBD to my stronger weeds. It does work with pain better than an Indica usually would.
After a few months away from the gym, I went back after covid restriction was lifted. And I overtrained a little. Normally, sativa helps me ignore pain during an activity but not through the night. Indica is better to relieve pain. A dash of CBD helps much more.
Cannaboom runt start to be ready for harvest after 6 weeks of flowering. There are orange hairs blend with white. Guess fully ready would be all orange.
I’ll give her a couple one more week of feeding. Then I’ll prepare her for harvest.

There is a mud dauber wasp nest under a ganja leaf. Wonderful! Mud wasp is a voracious species that eats thrips, worm, mosquitoes. The mud hut is to store comatose prey for new generation of hungry wasp. I stop y insecticide bugs and microbe.
Cannaboom CBD+ plant 1 is in her third flowering week. Flower just start to develop.
Cannaboom runt developed into a beautiful mini plant. She is miss photogenic after 7 weeks of flowering. It is a good indication on when I can expect her bigger sister to be ready.
Fed the runt with a dose of dilute yogurt. I have increased dilution rate to 350 ml bottle per 6 liter of water. Other than that, I stop fertilizing the runt. And I shall give her a week or two before harvest.
I think the runt is developed as much as she would. A week longer will probably get me more CBN than CBD. So, I am chopping her. Keeping small amount for curing and trying the taste. Most of this quick harvest will go straight to de-carb to fill sleeping disorder needs.
Cannaboom CBD+ plant 1 is stacking up nicely in her fourth flowering week. Flowers are small and pointy but build up to dense cola’s.
My plan is to slowly and lightly feed her. Cannaboom feeds better than are land race Sativa but not as voracious as an Indica.
The new gen of Cannaboom CBD+ clones are okay. A few of my friends do want to grow them.
Of all the interests, there is only one guy who has legitimate medical reason to smoke weed during the day. And yes, this guy shouldn’t get high. For the rest, I am still surprise how people do not want get high before they are going to sleep. It will take long years to undo generations of campaign against a natural remedial herb.
Dried flower from runt was heavier than I expected. From a small little plant, I got 34 grams out of her.
Straight from drying, buds from the runt smell reminds me of herbal medicine shop. Yuck! After all, Cannaboom CBD+ is medicinal. The smell is a bit like anise and eucalyptus. Most of the batch would go straight to de-carb. And I put about 6 grams to cure to check aroma and taste.
I ate some decarbed buds. And I got a tide of well being up from my chest. No high, no sleepiness.
The next day, I worked out hard in the gym to get some pain and test the effect. Later, I ate more decarbed herb. The amount was about a quarter of I normally roll a joint. There was some high. It was not creative, not stim pack, not stone. Just some good vibe. I was walking okay but was a bit wobbly. This is not for working day.
High was there but it was just having this self-satisfaction well being sort of feeling. Pain was less. I was able to stretch on my after work out day. Pain did not entirely go away but it did not bother me. Mind you, my pain was over exercise pan and nothing compare those with real need. Finally, I went to sleep fine without being stone.

Another week passed, Cannaboom CBD+ plant 1 continues to stack up. This is a productive CBD plant. Really nice.
I fertilize Cannaboom CBD+ plant 1 with 1/4th strength bloom fertilizer twic. And she takes fertilizer well without complaint. Again, I supplement the feed with seaweed/fish amino, humic acid. I ran out of molasses and fed her with brown sugar from coffee stall. I normally take my coffee black and unsweetened and people think I am weird that way. Taking a couple of bags of sugar makes make me look closer to normal.

Eating de-carbed Carnnaboom CBD+ got me high. Hit was pretty quick and initially uplifting with a git of a bit dizziness. Later it was definitely a stone effect with waves of narcotic rush. This takes me back to the old days when ganja was added as a secret ingredient on Thai street foods.
Eating is certainly convenient. And I tend to nibble too much on Cannaboom CBD+.
I googled up on the topic of getting high from eating de-carbed buds. Seemed that CBD would turn to THC by stomach acid. Perfect!
Then I went on to smoke – dried Cannaboom CBD+ flowers. I thought that I can by pass the stomach acid thing. However, I still got good buzz from Cannaboom CBD+. It wasn’t giggly high. And I wasn’t stoney. It was clear headed happiness. Taste was fairly smooth, but I don’t like the licorice smell.
CBD is supposed to moderate the impact of THC. So, I test this by lighting up my notoriously wacky Zamaldelica Sativa weed after smoking Cannaboom CBD+. And yes, the normally crazy Zamaldelica was more manageable. I got more uplifted and thirsty but less giggles. Cannaboom CBD + did not quite wipe out the Sativa high but normalizes it.
The next day I was tired all day and was on low battery mode from weed overdose. So, yes, Cannaboom CBD + help with the green out. Nonetheless, over medicating is still not good.
Over all, very nice effect for an overly active person. Flip side of chilling out is less energy. So, the benefits depends on the occasion.
On the main plant, Cannaboom CVBplant 1 passed 6th flowering weeks mark. Flower cola’s are nice and chunky.
Leaves are healthy in the weltering heat. Day time temp reached 38 C in some days. Counting down to harvest, I have three weeks left. And I can feed her for one more week. Some leaves turned completely yellow. I am used to this and don’t do anything with it other than plug the leaves off.
Seventh week into flower, this was the last feeding week for the main plant. And I started to trim off aged leaves.
Also gave the main plant dilute yogurt with live lactic acid bacteria. Ratio was 1 part yogurt to 19 parts water at the beginning of the week.
Be sure to use yogurt label with “live beneficial microbes” or “living probiotic”.
Don’t use yogurt that labled with “made from …. microbes. These were heated to kill all microbes to extend shelve life.
Pasteurized yogurt will not give living lactic acid bacteria to ganja. It would be just be a more expensive source of nitrogen and root stimulants.
I also fed a full dose of potassium phosphate and potassium nitrate together with seaweed and molasses toward the end of the week. Feeding was at 1 gram (combined fertilizers) per liter of water. Approximately 1,000 ppm concdntration.
Clone is doing okay. I fed the clone with guano and seaweed. And there is only one clone left. I gave one away to a friend. He has a friend suffer from a shaking fit and depends on illegal CBD.
Also gave away all de-carbed flower to a friend with insomnia. Did tell her to try a pinch at a time.
Despite warning, she ate an entire small nug. Knocked herself out for a day. This Cannaboom CBD+ gets you high especially by eating it. My lesson is that I need to act more dramatic when I warn people.
Eight week into flower, Cannaboom CBD+ looks good enough. I am starting the harvesting process. I should flush her for one more week. However, I think leaving her longer in 37 degree C heat would only degrade the medicinal goodness.
Buds are looking much more plump than flowers from the runt. I hope that this big plant would give me more CBD than the runt plant did. People got nice high with the runt. It is definitely not 20:1. Regardless, we all enjoyed this light cannabis.
Leaves show sign of phosphorus lock out. I fed potassium heavily last week. Things are as it should be. I prefer gat juicy buds over healthy green leaves before harvest. My friends actually would like to have the leave for juice making and cooking. Well, nice salad green leaves would be from trimming off during shaping stage and won’t be from my harvest.
Clone is doing okay. There is sign of phosphorus lock out. It was my bad. I fed the vegging clone the same way as late flower plants. This is fix easily enough. The best way is to use phosphoric acid. However, I plan to give her humic acid will lower pH and increases absorption. Humic acid helps plant survive the heat also. And a bit of bone meal will help add phosphorous.

The buds were thick and dense. And there was mold issue in the final week. Discovered some more rot during wet trimming. I decided to hang the flower stalk outside to get full ventilation. And I accepted terpene loss to prevent scrapping the entire harvest.
I guess that I lost about a fifth (20%) of the harvest due to mold. Yet, I still got more than 3 ounces out of her. Over all, Cannaboom CBD+ is fairly strong against the mold but is not problem free in tropical outdoor.
I think with earlier harvest, mold problem can be solved. There was no mold up until 6 weeks. Buds were thick and fat. The mold that presences did not spread much. Mold resistance was still strong. My condition this time of the year is 28 degree C at night with 90% humidity.
If I harvest earlier, I probably end up with similar harvest amount but with better quality. So, there is no big complain from me.
Cannaboom CBD+ was excellent against bugs.
