This is a micro tote build - first attempt.
Germinated seed in between two cotton pads. It was good to plant in 72 hours.
Day 1: Soil is Light Mix by Bio Bizz. Decided to remove the raspberry pi which had a temp and humidity sensor and just leave a little thermometer/hygrometer in there to save space.
I plan to move extractor fan (PC) to the outside.
I have really cheapo banggood LEDs, which I know is daft. I'm limited for space, so restricted growth may be OK. I also have another strip of white LEDs which I will add to the box soon.
Day 2: I changed from the cheapo LEDs that hang from the top of the box to a 3w LED lamp placed closely over the soil. Within 24hrs we have the birth of a new plant :-)
Day 3: The plant stretched about an inch overnight and I was worried that it is stretching because it's not getting enough light. So I changed the light again. This time to a 7w 6500k desk lamp.
Day 4: Now onto a 12w LED bulb.
Hi there, Seedlings are always stretched about 1~2inches in their first few days regardless of light and light distance.After that they stop stretching and beccome normal.If they are continue stretching (mostly between nodes)you need to consider to lower down your light.I am always a fan of using low watts CFL or LED for young seedling.You can get your light near the seedling without harming them and they will never stretch under those lights.Happy growing... ✌️
Day 7 - Still growing. I would like to see another set of leaves. No plan for nutrients until at least another week if not two.
Day 8 - New 15w grow light installed. Temps went up over 25 and humidity dropped to just over 40. Rosie appears to have responded well. I can see tiny new set of leaves.
Day 9 - 2nd set of leaves leaves now clear - first set getting bigger. Not feeding yet, just watering.
Day 10 - I moved Rosie a little to the side to be out from directly under the light.
Day 11 - Ph of my water was between 7.5 - 8. I was surprised how little vinegar it takes to lower the PH.
Day 12 - I think she's doing well and will soon have many leaves.
Day 13 - No news is good news 😊 - any advice or comments are welcome as this is my first grow.
Day 14 - I'm so pleased with how Rosie is doing. It look like many leaves are about to sprout.
Day 15 - Isn't she lovely?

Day 18 - Less than one months old.
Day 19 - That's enough of Stevie Wonder! I've changed from my 15w LED light build to a no-brand 169 LED grow light. I have upped the watering as I think I may have been under-watering - bottom leaves were very thin and curling in at the sides.
Day 20 - Some LST tomorrow.

I see that the leaves are also curling upwards on the sides, yes?
Usually this is due to, under watering/overwatering, extremely low/extremely high humidity, or other issues with roots.
45% humidity is a little low but not bad for this stage in veg, typically you want around 55%avg or slightly higher during veg.
From what you’re saying, she most likely just needs more water especially to penetrate deeper into the root zone.

Day 21 - I attempted some LST. I think it went OK. I will need to continue in the next few days to bend down the bigger leaves. I've still not added any nutrients yet.
Day 22 - Rosie recovered well from my first attempt at LST. I may have over done it today when I tried to get hold of the leaves and move them down. I'll leave to see how she recovers overnight. I think the tape I'm using is a bit broad, so I'm going to use it in combination with little ties.
Day 23 - I did some more LST. I think I will leave her alone for a while.
Day 26 - Very minor LST over the past couple of days. I started adding nutrients. This dropped the PH down to 5.8. I've just gone with this for just now. Also switched on the LED strip lights that are stuck to the side of the box. She looks healthy enough, but nowhere near as big as I see others in diaries at this stage.
Day 27 - I think the new leaves are looking healthy. Must be near flowering time.
Day 30 - Rosie started to flower a few days ago. Plant looks healthy, if a little small.
Day 32 - Continuing to do minor LST to try expose the lower flower sites.
Day 35 - Rosie looks healthy enough. She seems to be trying to escape out of the pot - growing out rather than up. I guess LST does that!
Day 37 - No news is good news. Pic added.
Day 39 - Flower sites coming on nicely. Plant looks healthy to my noob eyes. Starting to see the purple coming through.
Day 40 - I'm making some banana leaf tea as per @Saywer_Grow guide. Should be ready next week.
Day 41 - Pic Day41b shows how Rosie appears to be growing out rather than up. Not a bad thing when growing in such a small space. I'll likely let it grow more before LST the next time.
Day42 - While Rosie looks nice and healthy to me, I'm considering some defoliation as I can see some buds being shaded by leaves. Any advice?
Day44 - I found the soil very dry yesterday as I was giving it a rake - so a good soaking was given. Today the soil still seems damp so I will leave alone.
Day46 - I removed some fan leaves yesterday as they were either yellowing or just not getting any light.
Day47 - I will give Rosie some of the banana tea today.
Day49 - Everything has been going so well there's nothing really to say other than I'm crossing my fingers and hope the good luck continues. I've been feeding/watering with the banana tea and the plant hasn't died yet. 😁
Day51 - I've noticed that some of the pistils are turning amber.
Day54 - Still feeding the same Mega Crop nutrients and banana leaf tea. Not long to go now I think? Two more weeks?
Day56 - Everything is looking Rosie
Day59 - Some discolouring appearing on a couple of fan leaves.
Day60 - I've resisted the temptation to do anything about the discoloured leaves.
I don't think this auto CBD plant has long to go. It's at 59 days of a supposed 65.
I just started to notice a some tips beginning to discolour and a couple of fan leaves have small yellow spots appearing.
Is this just the plant ageing?
Leaves that are aging will fade to lighter shades of green, not develop spots or other isolated discoloured patches. As your plant is so close to harvest, I would not worry about anything, especially not applying some sort of "remedy", natural or not, seeing as how you shall be enjoying the "fruits of your labour" soon. hope this helps,.. Now into Week 9. Can't be long now. Plant is quite small, but I couldn't really expect much else in my tiny setup with cheap lights. Still, it's been a good learning experience that I will take forward and make small gradual improvements as I go. What's the rush? 🙏
Day66 - She should be ready soon, but I'm not seeing too many trichomes. This is high CBD and almost no THC strain. I'm not sure if that makes any difference to trichome production. Any advice is welcome.
Day68 - I'm still feeding Mega Crop and have no plans to flush before chopping.
Day 71 - Should I be chopping soon?
Day 74 - I'm not really seeing much change over the past week. I think I may be chopping at the weekend.
Day 75 - I got a cheap USB microscope, so some new photos uploaded. Not as clear as I would like, but I'm sure I'll improve.
Day 76 - Just noticed how red/deep purple some of the trichomes are. I plan no more feeding. Water only and chop soon.
Day 79 - I'm chopping this week. A couple of more days I think. I will complete the rest of this page later.
Day 80 - Chop day is here. I'll hang her to dry for about a week.
Hung up for 5 days. It's probably ready now as it was so small. I got 4.8 grams. I guess it's only upwards from here!
