Turned on second grow light in baby tent yesterday. Plants are transferred into 3 gal cloth pots. I want to LST this week also. LST worked well and bud sites are starting to show up.

Grow Questions

TJMJRstarted grow question 4 years ago
I've never LSTd my crop before. I'm in week four of veg. I don't know how much longer I need to veg my plants before flipping them. Would another week or two be sufficient before flipping? The last crop the plants got way too tall so that's the reason for LST this time.

Don't flip till the plant atleast covers the edge of the smart pot.. no need to waist energy try to flower substate. You can always bend the tellest flower shoot to level it with the rest of the canopy, use the chiropractice tech mention by karl kushman or use very light pressure if you need too, after all yo don't want to post a question about what to di if you snap a flowering branche later on. Just keep tying her down ti she covers her space.. be even better if you cover your whole light coverying space and filling that canopy before flipping.. lst can let you vedge for longer period without to much risk of outgrowing your grow space's height. Since you lay it more flat like a screen of green aproch jest don't iver grow your smart pot otherwise you'll havr to do kore frequant watering in late flowering and it's a pain havingbto water twice a day...

I'm getting ready to flip my crop to flower. What's the significance of giving the crop 25 - 36 hours of darkness before flipping? In the past, I would just flip the lights to 12 and 12 and introduce the flowering fertilizer slowly while reducing the foliage solution.

I wouldn't use a darness period before the flip. Many people have talked about trying this in the passed and mention stress of some plants, i even overheard(read) thats certain plant din't reciver well. Some growers add more darkness time to fasten rippening resulting in lost of yeild to achive faster harvesting which can be arlright if timing is a factor. But the onky thing that i can think of if you do a dark periods before flip other then a stress is elongation. The lack of light us going to cause the plant to stretch tremendously... The best advise for reduces stretch would be to use a bleu spectrum light during first weeks of flowering other then this. I would just flip 12/12 . And do a dark period befor harvest.

@Ezzjaybruh, I really like the SK! It's still in the curing stage but smells like berries and has a great minty flavor to it. I'm very happy with this plant!

@Ezzjaybruh, My last grow was PH and Strawberry Cough. I over dried my crop but I was able to re-hydrate with the bolvida packets. I'm hoping for a better grow this time!
