Day 1 - threw all the seeds in the soil and watered them slighlty. I only could pop 3 seeds for now, since the N. Light is taking up space for the fourth one. I thought of maybe starting the Jack in a cup and then transplanting it to a bigger pot when I have space but I think imma just wait. No need to rush anything :)
Day 4 - 2 of the girls already popped their head up, one more to go!
Day 6 - Royal kush still didn't sprout, if it doesn't end up sprouting by tomorrow, imma lightly uncover the soil to check if the seed germinated. Other girls are doing good tho they're stretching a bit because my lamp is a bit high cause I got the N. Light in the back but I'm going to harvest soon.
Day 7 - Unfortunately royal kush didn't sprout, I tried to find the seed in the soil to see if it germinated but I couldn't find it. So I just planted Jack herer in the same pot.
Day 8 - Unfortunately Royal Kush didn't sprout I planted Jack Herer in the same pot we'll see if that girl sprouts. Also I lowered the light a bit since the girl we're stretching a tiny bit.
Day 10 - It appears that the Royal Jack has sprouted! bummer that all the seeds didn't sprout cause I really wanted to run 4 autos in a 2x2 but It'll be 3 instead!
Day 13 - I gave 2 girls a little cal-mag, just a tiny dose to give them a little bit of food coming into veg.
Day 22 - Gave the 2 bigger girls their first official feeding, 0,5L per plant, Gave them 0,3ml/L Micro and 0,3ml/L Gro along with a little blast of cal-mag just to give them a nice start. EC was around 0,75mS
Day 23 - The girls are praying! It looks like they really enjoyed their feeding yesterday and wow Quick one really is quick haha compared to the other girl. Bluematic seems to have these weird leaves where the sides are curled upwards, idk if this is the genetics or slight heat stress, it seems to be praying as well tho. I also lowered the light by 10cm and changed the light schedule to 20/4.
Day 26 - I gave the girls a feeding again, same as last time, EC was again at around 0,75mS. I also fluffed up the top soil a bit for better aeration.
Day 30 - I topped one of the girls, and when I was topping it I noticed that the first pistils popped on Quick One, I'm hoping it'll have a chance to recover before it hits bloom.
Day 31 - The girl seems to be healing well, I also upped the dose of nutes by 0.1ml/L.
Day 33 - I've done some LST to both the girls, there some rust spots on Quick one I'm not sure what they are, I'm guessing a bit too much cal-mag?
Day 24 Royal Jack - The seedlings leaves became yellow with these black ish dots, idk what's wrong with it, it appears to be growing at a really slow rate even tho it received exactly the same treatment as the other autos. Oh well i'll just wait and see how it goes.
Day 35 - Both girls responded well to the training, there appears to be some slight potassium deficiency, I'll feed some bloom nutes next feeding to get in some of that extra potassium. Hopefully that will help.
Day 38 - Took some stakes to open up the branches a bit so that the light can penetrate down to the lower branches
Day 40 - I've done a little bit of defoliation, and gave the girls a much bettter feeding, hoppefully that will fix the yellowin issues i got with Quick One.
Day 31- Fortunately Jack is growing, seems pretty stunned tho. I honestly have no idea what caused the weird yellowing issues and everything, but for now it seems to be picking up the pace.
Day 43, It appears as both girls entered flowering, there's pistils popping everywhere on both girls. Royal Jack is really far behind, we'll see how girl does.
Day 44 - Both girls entered the bloom phase so i will start feeding some Bud Candy along with my nutes.
Day 46 - I gave bluematic a little haricut and put the SCROG net onto the girls.
Day 38 - Royal Jack appears to be super stunned, it's barely 8cm and it's flowering. I know not much will come out of it but i will leave it anyway just to see what will happen to it. My pH wasn't calibrated which is probably what caused so much issues for this little girl. We'll see how she ends up.
I believe this falls into the other answer I gave. Since it was on every plant in some degree is why I felt it was ph problems. The plant veins turn red when magnesium deficiency is present. Just if your roots are locked out because of ph then any deficiency can show up really. Always use a calibrated digital ph pen. Good luck 🌲🌲🌲👊
Ok well looking at your plants in that week I see either 1 major issue causing you problems. What is your soil ph? Water going in? Extra coming out? These ph numbers are very important. Should test every watering. Now if for some reason that is all in range you are suffering from nitrogen deficiency and cal mag deficiency. Possibly light burn but not sure on that one. Day 51 - The girls are doing good I resolved the issues, It was the issues with my pH pen not being calibrated which caused some magnesium problems, that's why the veins are redish brown. Royal Jack is pretty much done with, it's super stunned, i'm guessing it's the pH issues that caused it. I'll leave it be tho just cause I'm curious what will happen to it, obviously it won't bounce back, so we'll see.
Day 53 - I flushed both girls, hopefully that will fix the magnesium uptake and pH issue.
Day 56 - Started feeding nutes again hopefully the girls will bounce back.
Day 93 - I have flushed Quick One with unPH'ed tap water till the run off EC was around the same as the water flowing in, maybe varied my 0.1 mS but that's fine.
This overall grow I think was a bit unexpected with the sudden issues I encountered along the way, but at the end of the day I learned from my own mistakes for the next grow! Definetly impressed with the bud quality and amount that his little plant produced, really tasty smoke!
I'm really happy with the outcome, even tho this grow went so wrong the outcome still was more than I could've asked for! I've definetly learned tons from my mistakes during this grow and I'm super excited for the next one!
I mean I have no idea what went wrong with this plant, it's either the genetics or the pH issues which stunned it early on. I didn't even take any pics of it after drying, just directly stuffed everything in a Joint and smoked it, really nice enjoyable sativa buzz with citrusy and earthy tasy! Really enjoyed playing games and watching series on this strain! Gotta give it another go in the future for sure!
