Germination
It took 3 days for the seed to germinate. I planted directly into a 10 gallon nursery pot since the seed was feminized, as Autoflowers do not like transplanting very well. I used Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, and ph my water around 6.5. The soil is full of nutrients so there is no need for nutrients yet. I started with the plant about 18 inches from the light. This is my first Autoflower and I decided to try growing this strain because of a short growing time and high resistance to disease and mildew. I have a terrible powdery mildew problem where I live and this should enable me to grow and harvest in both winter and summer, between the spring and fall powdery mildew seasons.

Things get really exciting when you start to see the buds growing so quickly! I am not new to growing, but this is my first Autoflower, and I am impressed! I did notice some rust fungus spots, and treated with a soil drench of 1 tbsp Regalia/gallon water, and Banish spray prepared according to directions. So far the condition has not gotten worse. This is also how I take preventive measures against powdery mildew with my regular, non-autoflower and outdoor crops.

A couple of weeks ago I suddenly had rust colored spots springing up all over the leaves, and thought it was rust fungus, but I had put some vegetable plants in the grow tent then noticed little bugs flying around and the bottom side of the leaves looked like something was eating at them. I have gotten rid of the bugs and source of them, and did a defoliation to remove the damaged leaves. We will see what happens next.

I am currently using Fox Farm Ocean Forest for my Northern Lights Autoflowers. What would be the best nutrients to feed? I was told not to feed with that soil but I don't know... this is my first Autoflower grow and I usually grow outdoors so I'm learning. Thanks for your help!

Autos are light feeders overall. In flowering it needs phosphorus and potassium more then nitrogen still uses some. Best to stick with all one brand of supplements so you don't encounter stuff that does not agree with other stuff so to say when they mix with water. Happy growing and good luck👊

We use the same soil. After about week 3 in fox farms you'll need to start feeding it. Any Nutrient line should be ok to run with it. Just use a 1/2 str feeding at first to see how the plant responds. 🤘😤
