A new plant for the new veg area! This sweet gift start off looking a little poorly, leaves were yellowing. Transplanted her immediately and switched to the upper veg area. Now the yellowing is gone and the plant is looking much healthier. Should be flowering within 10-12 weeks.
Wk beginning 11/22/2020.
This young lady is growing up fast! She is ahead of schedule at 3.8" of height on week 2.
She is watered gently on a daily basis, just enough to ensure she is properly hydrated, with a good bit of water poured around the very outside edge of the fabric pot to encourage root expansion.
I may be sold on the entire concept of autoflowering.
11/26/2020 - picked off the dead leaves near the bottom of the stem. The rest of the plant looks amazing.
Week beginning Sunday, 11/29/2020
11/29: Based on a Youtube video (I know, I know!) I decided to try topping the Pineapple auto (which is not recommended). In the video it worked. In my real life, I'm not so sure. Plant growth could be nicely fucked up, or I may get more growth sites. Who knows? But I CAN afford to take the risk and find out. I also removed some clearly dead leaves.
12/1: I should have validated environment control on the nursery side before using it. Yes, this is an "oh, shit!" moment. Need to resolve this ASAP. Nursery canopy is badly overheated.😟
Week beginning 12/6/2020.
Resolved overheating problem in the nursery canopy ... too late. The pineapple autoflower is officially dead, despite having corrected the problem as soon as practical. Which was too late.
Goodbye, my sweet....
On the bright side, adding an additional cheap in-line can fan got the temperatures down to where they should be. This issue should not repeat itself. Lesson learned.
Services will be held at the Cannabis Plant Church. The plant is to be buried in the Baked Lands Sleep Memorial Mulch Garden.
Peace out.
P.S.: They say the best gardeners kill the most plants (at least to start with). If that's the case, I just leveled up! 😁
