Starting @ 8pm on 11.19.20 - using a modified version of the guide from #GrowLikeChef .. Chef Anna is an autoflower king so props to him - figured I'd try his way.
First off - Germination
Using a Jiffy puck of peat - dropped in water for 5-10 minutes put the seed in pointy side down. Covered with peat. Took off the jiffy puck skirt to make it even easier for the seed. Put in 3 Gallon Coco+perlite mix. And domed with clear plastic cup. Sprayed around and the cup for extra humidity.
Temp - 77-81 F & 50-60%RH
Also have a CO2 enhancer (homemade) & 1 fan in top corner pointing diagonal. 1 fan at bottom of tent. 1 fan outside of tent pointing in.
Day 1 11/22 - 11am - Just checking for moisture & spraying and keeping dome above until Day 7-10...
11/29 *UPDATE* - I think I may have slightly stunted growth by over misting? (Possibly) ... I have done about 1-3 times a day in fear of drying out the medium too much.... Just a possibility.
11/30 7am - spots on the leaves? * I want to wait the full time but judging by the way the leaves are showing deficiencies I might have to start feeding to make sure they are getting nutrients and pH is on par. I have been misting with distilled water which pH said 5.9 so it should be perfect but still.... I really want to see these babies take off. We are working on our 3rd set of leaves now so I am going to start training soon once I knock in about 4-6 nodes
12/2 - I thought the plant stopped growing after feeding but it looks like its still looking pretty good - I was supposed ot wait a full 10 days and then feed on day 1 grow but the plant looked like she was ready for some food. the book doesnt refer to coco/perlite {(no nutes) it uses soil so i think that is a key component to being able to wait a little longer... on my next grow i will probably feed around day 7
Week 2 - 12/7-12/14
Feeding about 2 cups per feeding (every 1-2 days)
12/12 3am still been doing 2 cups for now - watering when the top layer is dry but letting it get a little drier sometimes ... i heard coco and perlite its almost impossible to overwater but idk ... i might kick it up to 4 cups soon
week 4 - 12/21-12/28
12/21
Defoliated the infected leaves off now its all green for the most part.
I also folded some leaves down to expose more sites to see if that helps her grow more but who knows lol
1/25-2/1 week 9
dying and stunted but were gonna keep her going.. i put her in 48 hours of darkness b/c my planw as to kill it b/c it got fucked while i wason vacation but lets see what we can do with her... maybe we can do something with her idk.... lets find out.
