Day 100: Guys I had to harvest the biggest main colas tonight, I found another random yellow leaf pop up just like with the bud rot ones. Can't take any chances! 135grams wet , 35 grams dry I'll leave the lower budsites for a bit longer since the fat ones are the ones most likely to be affected, and they still need some growing. I WILL POST IT NEXT WEEK! As for Pandora Auto, she was a freebie so she could have been an old seed which would explain the delayed transition to flowering. Responds well to topping and LST but I would only recommend that IF you have the TIME. Smell is very noticeable, strong but not super overpowering. She smells 100% like a ripe mango mixed with some pine right after cutting, quite intense. Day 108: I harvested the rest of the plant, I cannot delay it any longer. It was hard work, loots of trimming. 165 grams wet. --> Dry weight 34 Grow room dimensions: 18.5inchx17inch or 47cmx43cm After curing a couple of days she densed up a bit more: 7/10 She was my first actual serious grow. My very first grow was with CFL's and that produced suuper little, so I guess this was a milestone. 👻

Reviews. Nutrient
cant say much, I have nothing to compare these nutes to since theyve been the only ones I have ever used. BUT I never experienced any deficiencies with them, so I guess they are working :D
No idea if they helped, but no harm done so I guess thats good :D

I would advise against topping unless you have enough time since she was supposedly a 10 week strain. If I had enough time she would have properly finished at week 17-18. Smoke report after curing will come in a month or so 👻000000

Grow Questions

How do people form big colas? If I LST the main tops, then its side-branches become 'tops' as well, and I understand that a cola is made up of fused tops. But if LST'd then they are too far apart to fuse. So you shouldnt LST main tops after stretch? (since no new branches form)

Light hitting the buds will make them bigger I have found. So a mixture of LSTing, leaf tucking/defoliation is required to enable light to get to those cola bud sites throughout flowering until harvest. I never stop LSTing/leaf tucking/defoliation until she's ready for harvest, and am always looking for ways to help light hit those buds sites. HTH

1) big colas are a combination of exact nutrients, perfect light ,humidity , temperature and basically being a fycking master , 2) the more lst you do the longer it takes , I wouldn’t mess about after the white hairs appear , but if you defoiliate make sure you leave 1 inch of stem attached or you will get rot if you unlucky , I’d say you got 6 weeks , mayb3 more. 👍

You guys have any idea what this deficiency/burn could be from? The last few days I have been giving basically just PK and minute amounts of the mineral powderfeeding mix. Maybe 3-4 leaves were affected in total, around these spots the leave were soft and dark as if underwatered.

All of the above solutions are correct. But I will give you an idea of why you may be having some issues. I had to read through your delightfully informative notes! That helps! You’re using a 60/40 soil+compost - perlite mix. I’ve had problems with a mix like this. The reason is that coco holds onto nutrients easily, soil has an organic property, so it’s breaking down leftovers slower. Combine all that with a good aeration medium like perlite. Your PH will be imbalanced and your medium is holding onto nutrients the plant can’t use. I would advise as others have to flush. When you do your FLUSH, start with a big dose of warm water, the same volume of the pot/soil e.g. 10gal. Wait 10 mins for the water to dissolve leftover nutrients. Then with another 2x volume of pot In water flush a second time to remove dissolved nutrients. Now moving ahead the next time you water after this flush you can continue your feed of micros and bloom nutrients go easy, feed 1/2 strength. You will have enough mobile nutrients to get you to the end. In my estimation you have 6 weeks left 4 weeks of bud growth and a 2 weeks flush. Good luck✌️🏻

I’d say it was way too soon for pistils on the top to be browning, but it’s often nothing to worry about. Do you touch the buds at all? This can cause the withering of pistils. Looks like you need a bit of iron in your feed might be the light but around the bud looks yellow + new leaves yellow. Cal mag supplement has iron, you can foliar feed first thing in the morning if you’re outside or just as lights on inside.✌️🏻

@mr_smooke, I've only grown photo periods for over 30 years, mainly Vietnamese Black x Nepalese highland x Ethiopian Highland x Mazar Sharif. I am trying my first Auto flower and so far I am impressed. Might not get the quantity I normally get but, it sure will decrease the electric bill. I'm growing a White LSD, check out my diary. I'm on week seven, she's stopped her growth spurt and is piling on the buds. While I enjoy my strain which I bred 20+ years ago, it takes up to 4 months to finish. If I can get smoke of the similar quality from an auto flower, I say Why Not? I guess that answer will come after Harvest & curing.

@mr_smooke, I mean the shape is similar, round and many tops

First time growing ? 😊 Yes , it is normal for the pistils to turn brown, it can goes from dark brown to orange depending on the strain, only some few strains from the Whites family stays white.

@JUNGLE_B4RNS, haha no, but im still a novice yes :p I was worried because it seemed too soon for the pistils to change color :(

Trichomes looks .... hairy and dusty , you got pets at home ?
Ganjalf

@JUNGLE_B4RNS, nah it was from dust carried by the wind and the hairs are pollen haha all cars left outside have this dust

Her pistols will turn orange before she ripens. Keep an eye on the Trichs too. My buds doubled in size the last weeks.

Tazardcommented7 years ago
@Ganjalf, you harvest by the trichromes not the hairs. Read this: https://www.alchimiaweb.com/blogen/harvest-marijuana-plants-trichome-ripeness/ It has a lot to do with what you prefer. She is a strong Indica, I wouldn’t let her go amber unless you like the couch.

LED so close is a bad thing. The plant has natural capabilities to fight fungus, and pest infection. Like us humans, when we are weak and stressed we get sick. Too close LED could quite literally cooked the tops causing the rot to take hold on especially if there was a high humidity climate surrounding the tops of the buds. Did you touch any rotten fruit, then your buds? It’s advisable to always wash your hands before ever touching your bud. I don’t do it myself, but I do frequently wash my hands. It also looks like there is cat hair all over your buds. A cat could have either chewed on your bud or sprayed/pissed on your plant... no joke it can happen!

@Ganjalf, ahhh, dandelion pollen? you’re in the UK?😜 Good luck on the non infected stuff bro✌️🏻
Ganjalf
Ganjalfcommented7 years ago
@PharmaZ, the reason is because she was outside in a field for 9 days and it rained a few times :/ that combined with morning dew is probably the reason why. I put her under a tree but that only protects so much huh. Since yesterday she's back under the LED. As for the hair, nah that's pollen. It clumped up everywhere especially because of morning dew. I doubt the cat thing though, the field is far away from any house, at least half a mile

What’s up Bro. Sorry to hear you have bud rot. It’s the worst! I will advise you 100% to not smoke any of the but that was effected. Even the bud that is not effected should be washed with h2o2!smoked some moldy bud over 15 years ago I’ll never forget it, I was compulsive vomiting bile for a week, felt like I was going to die!! I will have a look back over your grow to see how it happened unless you have an idea yourself?

My pandora hadn’t started flowering at week 9 so I put her on 12/12
Tazard
Tazardcommentedweek 117 years ago
She probably has another 4-5 weeks left imo. Since she is flowering I wouldn’t change anything. She will likely reward you for your patience with 100+ grams.
