Here we go with Grow # 21 and as you've probably noticed that the goal for my latest grows has been multiple breeders, multiple strains. So I decided to go with the Dark Devil Auto from Sweet Seeds. They say the Dark Devil Auto shows strong hybrid vigor from germination. The plants grow with the appearance of Indica-Sativa hybrids, with a strong stem, numerous lateral branches, and a large central bud. Resin production is exuberant both in the buds and in the leaves close to them. Sweet and fruity aroma with incense and citrus tones.
Normally this is where I go through my whole germination process, but this time I decided to switch it up again and germinated directly in the soil. Below is a list of equipment I'll be using during this grow.
Equipment Used:
Hydro Planet 2x4x5 Grow Tent
3-Gallon Plastic Pot
Happy Frog Soil
Vivosun 300 watts Full Spectrum Grow Light
Vivosun 4" inch Exhaust Fan
Vivosun Carbon Filter
Vicks Cool Mist Humidifier
4 Desk Fans
Acurite Hygrometer
4:50 PM 11/7/2020
Placed Dark Devil Auto directly in the soil for germination.
1:14 PM 11/11/2020
Dark Devil is starting to come above the soil.
12:36 PM 11/15/2020 (Day 1)
Today starts Day 1 for the Dark Devil Auto think the light was too close so I backed it off to 24".
5:39 PM 11/18/2020 (Day 4)
The plant received a watering today, that had a ph of 6.24, looks a little weird to me, to be honest, it's looked like this since it popped up, hopefully, things change.
10:55 PM 11/21/2020 (Day 7)
Last day of the week and this little lady is still not looking like the others. Hopefully, things turn around during the next few weeks, I hope this isn't going to be one of those "problem autos" Lol.

Here we are for the Week 2 update for the Sweet Seeds Dark Devil, and this plant is still being a problem. From the time it popped its little self from the soil it's grown like this. It hasn't been feed, heck It's barely been watered, and even though it looks weird as ever it's still growing. I did re-adjust the lights because I did not like how much space was in between the nodes. Of course, you guys know I'm not one for giving up so, we'll keep her around and see if she turns around. She received waterings on Mon. 11/23 and Sat. 11/28 with a ph of 6.20.

It will grow out of it just keep it on a steady increasing nutrient regiment and it will be fine. I had two of the four I got do this. It will flower a little late and grow bigger than normal. Happy Growing!
Week 3 has come and gone and this lady is now in flower. After feeding she started to stretch, she doubled in height in the last week growing 9.5" inches. Still looks like a runt though, really lanky. The exciting thing is that the flower sites are already starting to show signs that she's going to be crazy purple.

Since our last update, things have basically been the same. Even though she’s growing and flowering well the leaves just didn’t change or perk up as if they are praying to light. However, boy is she going to be a purple one, the color is already so visible and we’re just getting started with the flowering stage. Between this plant and my Red Poison stretching the lights are now as high as they can go basically, they’re at the top of the tent. She went from 18.5” inches tall to 27” inches so that’s another 8.5” inches she’s grown this week.
Well guys that’s going to be all for this week. So, until next time fellow growers and remember ... "Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".
Back to report about the "Purple Beast", who just finished Week 5 which was Week 3 of Flower. She grew another 1.5" inches this week along with showing more and more purple and trichomes. Some of the big fan leaves on the bottom are starting yellowing which is normal at this time. She received a watering and a feeding, as usual, both times the ph. was 6.24. The color of this plant is too beautiful.

With this being such a crazy year for everyone this year dealing with the pandemic, it's almost refreshing to say we have reached the end of 2020, so this will be the final update of the year for my Sweet Seeds Dark Devil Auto. What started off as weird and rocky has now turned into a beautiful purple monster. Lol. Since last week she grew another 1/2 inch but that's all so it's safe to say that the stretching has stopped. This week I have mainly seen a lot of bud growth along with her turning more purple and showing some trichome production as well. She's even showing some amber trichomes along with some yellowing leaves meaning she's about to call it quits in a few weeks. This is my first time running a "purple" strain and I'm just so blown away with the colors there remarkable. I've been using my original watering regiment again so she's been wanting to be watered every two to three days, so she received one watering and one feeding this week along with me removing the dead leaves.
Now it's time for my favorite part of my diary... "S/O TIME"!!! This week's BIG THANK YOU goes to @Elpibe who became a new follower of my page. Back to give you guys an update on the Sweet Seeds Dark Devil Auto aka "The Purple Beast". Big and Beautiful best describes this plant as I end Week 7. The buds are getting a bit bigger along with the pistils turning amber and a few of them are starting to recede back into the buds, she even has some fading on the fan leaves going on but the color on this plant is something to see. It just keeps getting better every week. I'd give this plant about 2-3 weeks more and she'll be ready to harvest. During the course of the week, she was given a watering and a feeding and both times the ph was 6.34.

Well, ladies and Gent's that's going to be all for this week so until next time fellow growers and remember ... "Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".
Wonderful strain perfect for any time of day that will amaze you with its beautiful purple colors. It has a sweet and fruity aroma with incense hints and delightful citrus tones.
In the beginning, I was worried about this strain, and after talking to a couple of people, I learned I just had got the finicky pheno, but the benefit of that was it would grow very purple and that she did. Her fan leaves never really looked right the whole grow cycle but she never once had a problem with bud growth, not once. She did grow pretty tall and had more bud than leaves when it was all said and done. Toward the end, she just kind of gave up which happens with autos since they grow off age and not light cycle. She ended up with medium dense buds that were so purple they almost look black. I initially cut the plant down as a whole but after four days I cut the buds off individually and placed it in a brown paper bag to finish drying for two more days. She wasn't what we would call frosty but she had enough trichomes for me. The high you get from smoking it is perfect for any time of day, it makes you very relaxed and super happy. Lol. It definitely has the quality and I have quite a few of these seeds so this is something certainly going to be growing again. Shoutout to Sweet Seeds for allowing me to test a few of their strains out.
Well, that's going to be all for this grow guys, so until next time fellow growers and remember ..." Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time"

Soil looks dry.. how is the soil looking down under.. could be cause by air pockets inside the root mass. Do a complete full drench en let her dry up. Not sawing that its not a propper grow. But she could be struggling down there. Happenned to me before.. add peroxyde to the watering will boos it with oxygen has well.. 10-20 ml per liter..
