A new diary, this time with some very cool genetics from Ace Seeds ! I'm really happy to grow this strain :).
So for now the babies are in the bathroom because the grow tent is busy while I'm drying my previous harvest haha...
They spent the first week under a cheap (25$) led floodlight but now the COB led is back. Good growth I guess regarding the non-optimal conditions.
As usual soil/coco with biotabs goodness.

CrokuDodu Good growth this week especially considering that they are still in the bathroom so the conditions are not the best.
I selected an indica and a sativa looking pheno and transferred them to their final containers. Quite the difference between the two.
I hope I will be able to transfer them to the grow tent fast !!

CrokuDodu Some good and some bad this week.
I topped on day 19 and they seem to recover so far. But they stayed a bit too long in the bathroom I think, they stretched way too much i never had such long internodes. Maybe some overwatering also, they are kinda droopy.
Still they are pushing thru so I hope to correct everything in the upcoming weeks now that they are in the grow tent.

CrokuDodu Hum well well well... I can't make them happy no matter what... They are growing but kinda slow and are droopy. Some leaves are distorted, clawing, and weird looking. Any Idea ?
That was an extended week (9 days) and I'm going to flower them as I can't find what's wrong and we ll see how it goes.
I really dont understand I'm doing just as usual, temp/humidity is good, biotabs feed, 1.5/2l water every 3 days... Maybe they are nutrients sensitive ?

I'm doing just as usual, temp/humidity is good, biotabs feed, 1.5/2l water every 3 days when needed.

How close are the lamps to your plants? might be excess of radiation (light) which is mostly unlikely but possible. If not try lowering your irrigation frequency might be overwatering, make sure when watering that there is proper drainage and around 1/3 of the amount of irrigation solution as runoff. As for the frequency id suggest checking the top of your growing medium and irrigate once the top 5cm are dry.
A little advice but it is only a suggestion!!, lower your Nitrogen (N) fertilizing by a bit since the foliage is turning deep dark green and risking toxicity. Other than that plants look great!!

A great first week ! They are looking beautiful and healthy, pushing in all kind of direction but staying very compact, I love their structure.
I kind of LST like a mad man, real rope bondage. Gonna do some defoliation soon cause they are too bushy.
Two slightly different phenos, more indica/compact large leaves on the top and more sativa on the bottom
The both showed sex very fast.

They are doing very well, flower formation is starting right now with pistils beginning to stack up.
I love their structure and look, canopy is pretty even but not perfect ! So far so good !
Did one watering with Orgatrex as recommanded by Biotabs manual but from now on I will only use ActiVera/BioHeaven and some light dose of PK Booster by Biotabs.

CrokuDodu Well well well...The tent is filled ! They really push strong and hard in every directions. But they remain short and bushy, just how I like it.
I think we might see the end of the stretch and begin the real flowering soon.
I did some light defoliation and LST, from now on I think I'll leave them alone and not bother them :) (or really a light LST/defoliation) !
I tried to remove the bud site that were too low or not exposed enough to avoid popcorn.

For me this is the most boring time when growing hahaha. Bud formation is starting, some trichomes appearing here and there. Light smell coming in, very citrus/lemongrass so far. Action is coming !

CrokuDodu Starting to bud :) ! Week 4 to week 6 in really the weeks that I dislike the most with photoperiod haha, very boring :p !
Nonetheless, trichomes are coming along, almost oily to the touch, smelling is getting up there also and we see some bud really beginning to gain size.
Did some late defoliation as they were too bushy and air was not getting around enough for me I feel.
The upcoming weeks is going to be the real fun...I hope !

CrokuDodu I have big spider mite invasion :(... Those damned beasts are here again. Ho well it going to be ok they are almost done now.
Buds took some volume but not that much, Kali China is known to be a small yielder and the crop at the bottom looks like the most KC dominant one.
The one on the top has bigger colas, very different shape, with some fox tails, more zamal influence I think.
Smell is very nice : tropical/mango/leather/sweet. Very refined indeed. Trichomes coverage is excellent.
I started flushing :) !

CrokuDodu Chop chop time ! I ended the grow at day 65, they were really ripe looking by the trichomes. I'd say a good 10% of amber and the rest is mainly milky.
Really nice smell, mango/tropical with some hashy undertones, not so much incense so far unfortunately :(...
The spider mite invasion got really crazy at the end, hope the end product wont suffer too much about it.
Going for a slow dry so I kept both crops as a whole and barely removed any leaves.
I'll update after drying, trimming and quick curing !

Totally forgot to finish that grow diary haha.
This strain is incredibly good ! Probably my favorite of all the strains I grew and smoked so far.
Smell : fruity, tropical, very strong, deep, side notes of hashish. Very unique and hard to describe.
Taste : just like it smells ! Which is pretty rare.
Effect : just perfect. For a 50/50 strain I was fearing too much stoney stuff but on the contrary ! To me it's much more on the energetic side, brain agitating but not paranoia or anxiety. You do have a comedown with a body and mind relaxation but I would no recommend this strain too late at night as it keeps your brain ! More of a daytime/afternoon strain.
Ticks all the box, just try this strain you wont regret it. If it was named something stupid with cookie/runtz/gelato it would be an instant frenzy but the guys at ACE keep it real, huge props for the work !!
Deserve to be a classic strain !
