Day 16 (18/05/18) - So I gave her a hair cut today as I know she's soon to go into full flowering over the next couple days. Some of you might think I'm crazy but I've a great success rate doing this and you'll see the difference it makes once she bounces back in the next few days. It was done to allow more light through the canopy so I get better quality and size buds as she had some really big fan leaves blocking bud sites. I'm going leave her to recover for a little while and may supercrop if needed although I don't think she will. Growing nicely but not as quick as the purple queen which has very vigorous growth.
Messed up my light schedule slightly due to being in hospital but don't think its affected her much.
Stay tuned as she will soon be producing some beautiful flowers! Peace all
@Flavoursuk,yeah that's me sometimes just leave top 2 nodes yeah there doing well purple queen is a good strain so far update tomorrow and she's frosty as and just stacking like mad
@Michka, Hi mate, I totally agree. Good airflow is key ;) No worries, glad I can help.. if you need anything just let me know. Happy to talk you through or give advice if needed 🙏🏾
@Flavoursuk,that's what i see: they are going great ! In my first years of growing a friend told me not give too much airflow or i will get hermies, so i never gave them more than just a little.. Now with your video i can see that he told bullshit, i can increase my airflow for sure ! Anyway, each-one teach one, and this evening i'll go to bed a little bit less dumb ! Thanks for your answer !
@Michka, this is few weeks ago, and as you can see she has done nothing but improved. Never had that problem in all my years of growing. All it’s ever done for me is strengthen my stems and set them up for a heavy yield and harvest. Been growing way before I ever came onto grow diaries and learned from the older generation of growers and never looked back. If it’s too slow she won’t have a reason to thicken up and grow. Look at my most recent weeks and you’ll see the difference. If you go to the gym and do resistance training, you need to challenge your muscles to grow. Same principle with the plants in a nut shell. I do both ;) Plus, if she was outdoors she would be under a lot more wind than that. My fan rotates so it is not constant blowing also. Not sure what point your trying to make but all works well for me.
