Here is the link to the Strain I am growing; PANAMA Princess x New MALAWI Killer https://www.seedsman.com/en/panama-x-malawi-regular-seeds-limited-edition-10.com This batch is my 1st attempt at growing Regular seeds. -3 seeds were put in water, in a dark cupboard. -30 hours later they had developed solid tails and they were transferred into a damp paper towel. -Placed in a zip-lock and filled & sealed with a breath of air. -26 hours later they had Big tails and were placed in Pre-Soaked (pH balanced) rock wool cubes then into a Germination dome. Old enough to appreciate Panama Red and that is what has led me on a Landrace journey of sorts. This Panama-Malawi is my 5th indoor grow while my Durban Poison 4th is in its 12th week of Flower. The photo history led to me starting this diary. Looking for Two Ladies, I have started with Three ———————————————————— Grower: DESCRIPTION Panama x Malawi is a cross of the 10th. generation Panama Goddess with the New Malawi Killer. This is a pure sativa hybrid strain with very high yields and very high THC content to boot. This is altogether more vigorous and productive than the alternative cross of Malawi x Panama and is a plant with average to high resistance against plant pests and diseases and very good resistance to the heat. Indoors flowering takes 11 - 12 weeks. Once again, as with all of ACE Seeds' pure sativa hybrids, it is recommended to veg. for just 15 days while clones need to have rooted for at least 7 days before the switch to flowering. Very good results come from both SoG and SCRoG growing methods. Cultivation outdoors is well-suited to either tropical or sub-tropical climates but can also be cultivated with good results in warm coastal climates with warm and dry autumns such as the Mediterranean. Plants can get quite hungry during florescence. Oily and resinous scents also include incense and citrus notes with spicy and woody undertones. The flavour is dense and rich with a smooth floral taste of fermented fruits and hints of red wine. THC content is very high with 24.8% having been measured. CBD is below 1%. The effect is potent with the initial rush followed by euphoric and motivational energy. It's a happy and socially active buzz which endures and which keeps the mind focused for working on projects. Once they responded to the soil in the cup, here they are 18 days after being put in water. Small tent, basic 2x2x5. first time using as a starter tent. Light got lowered 18” over the week. Soil was pre- moistened. First waterings had “reduced” Root Boost. Misted them a few times.

“Week 3 ended on a high note!” (could not upload pics to week 3) New growth helped ID plant structure from the cotyledon leaf on up. And ended week 3 with me FIMming the material on the 5th Node. The 4th week saw me introduce the Foliar feeding of Ocean Magic to the plants, as soon as the lites went out. Every other day. ... I am beginning to see the immediate advantage of purchasing Feminized seeds. Working with Regular seeds involves the risk of losing lots of time energy and Nutes on any Males found... fingers crossed on this batch. Week 7 shows signs of A female...

This week (6th) marked the end of Foliar feeding every other day and dropped it to a weekly spray targeted for Lites-out. And with me finally seeing how much the foliage had grown underneath the 2 main fan leaves, I removed the last 2 big fan leaves from each bush. My plan is to grow 2 plants in a 4x4x6 and I do not know the sex yet. Growth has been Nuts, so with confidence, I super-cropped all 3, between 3rd & 4th node (doh, in reality, I blew it and did one between 4&5 nodes; more on this later...) - something new to me and this effort, is a super-crop. I’ve shaped the plant before but have never bent-one over. Went really well, and it seems to have given me a very controllable surface. Easy to do. Read and watch first, but it works

This is from the beginning of week 7. There may be a couple of plants revealing their Sex. (see pics) The plants are thriving after a 2nd FIMming of the Original sites. Food levels are up, and my goal is to be ready to Transplant them later this week. Branch bending is posing no problem, but a Bigger pot is needed Soon. Big picture is to send them into Flower sometime in Week 9. So establishing a bigger pot, securing LST anchor points and increasing Nutrients is priority in next 2-3 weeks. next destination: Bigger tent + CMH 3100k Goal- get a transplant done before week is out and begin adding REZIN for 2 week ride into Flower ***Bottom layer of the next pots are a 2” Coco based drain zone that has some charcoal/ash mixed in. Have mixed a lb of BioChar into the rest of the master Soil Mixture as listed. Wet it down and waiting to transplant in a day or 2 (3) 15 gal flexible pots 50cm x 30 2x15 1x10 BioChar 1 lb. mixed into Tub as Soil was prepared. (with some Shrimp compost) Cannot afford to wait 2 weeks for “perfect world” soil harmony ha, but it’s been dampened and sitting for a few days now, then shaped into the Fabric pots, ready. awaiting female/male decision before committing to a 15 gal pot... almost there Molasses is going to be added every 3rd feed... for the Soil @ 1 Tbsp/Gallon. (1st addition on the Dec 8th) Dec 9th; as the Sex of the plants becomes obvious, any day now, I will then transplant them into bigger pots that are waiting * definitely did Not see a 2nd Super-Cropping taking place on the same Plant. I set-out to go low, between 3rd & 4th node, messed up on the 3rd plant and Bent it between 4th & 5th (damn) node. In the week since, it’s made it awkward already with 2 levels and some odd LST ahead... Everything went 100% with the first... so I did it this a.m., between the correct nodes see pic with dbl supr-crop... it’s solid 10th; introduced REZIN into the nutrients for the first time. Marking a definite build-up to lites-out in a couple of weeks. Transplant done, LST re-established

Understanding that it’s still early in the game, Is this an actual Pistil, to the right of the Stipules? There does not appear to be an obvious Calyx... so is it too soon to call it a Female?

Transplanted 2 of the Plants that showed obvious Calyx/Pistil development, into 15 Gal pots The first pH balanced watering included only Molasses. This will give the Fertilizers and other healthy bits in the new soil a chance to pitch-in. Sunday, Nutrients as normal. Weekly Ocean Magic Foliar Feed at “Lights-out” 15ml/gal; Sunday - Big increase in TDS as the Nutrient addition grows steadily - capped the soil with Sand, to prevent any spider-mite or gnat activity. 1-2” will do it. *** will be hard to maintain a sand barrier on the top edges of the flexible pots. Each time you move/rotate them, the edge changes. FYI. (Watering helps level it) Challenge this week is the accurate feeding and moisture levels of plants and soil. I have now moved them into big pots = Big change. Fed Nutrients and am going to wait now 3 days till next watering to see how the sand-cap impacts the overall moisture levels. Started with frequent, smaller waterings, and trying to maintain a level of dryness between feedings. And also to Pump up Nutrients at the same time ! The plan: Lites out on Boxing Day morning as normal. Going to do 30 hrs of dark and head into Stretch/Flower with lites-on, the evening of the 27th Thursday’s (17th) big-feed is listed above. No idea on TDS yet. ~ guessing 1250 - 1350 ppm. {(Actual 1420ppm with the Molasses) It’s as big as it’s gonna get} -Molasses every 3rd feed. When it’s a weekly Foliar spray, I do not include Ocean Magic in the soils Nutrients that day. Just to ease up tds) -Midweek and for the first time, I took leaves off that were making shadows on bud sites along branch nodes. Still poking the big ones away & under when possible, nuisance ones are gone. Let there be lite -holding out one more day before watering, all looks good. Tomorrow lights-on is 3 days since last feed. Finding dry is critical while cranking up volumes! -today for the first time, the 10 gallon plant showed itself to be a Female. And in the name of the Holiday Season, I have gifted it to a local grower, with nothing under his Tent this year ha. My plan is / and was for 2 plants in the tent. I soaked 3 regular Special Edition seeds to make sure it happened. -Bonus for @%+€# Friday 18th: -3 days between waterings had zero impact on the plants. No wilting or drooping, No colour issues. Adding a bit more water next time I feed them. @.75 gal ea. now every 3. moving to 1 gal ea every 3 -seems the plants are starting to reach already. Great growths along the horizontal branches, all pointing straight-up. Lites out in 3 feeds. Pics tonight ** really appreciate the information that DODRUGS420 shared with me about UV-B supplemental lighting ** (and the warnings) It’s not often that people get to share Proven Science. Like most things, too much or too little causes trouble. But the science has been done and it’s positive. Just added to my Wish List for 2021 ! Sat 19th the plants look they are screaming to go into Flower. Side-Branches on the side-branches is as good a sign as I can see. Might follow-through and keep the lites off a few days earlier than planned. 1 more feed ?

Probably not if the conditions are already perfect, you could always top, fim, suppercrop again, do some more lst, you can always do more and more stuff, but one guy will tell you it helps, another one will tell u its prejudicial. You can always defoliate a couple of healty leaves to trick the plant into thinking that producing leaves isn't a viable option and spends MORE energy (not all energy) into bud production instead of leaves. But then again its not scientifically proven, what is scientifically proven and increases thc production is use of Uv-B supplemental lighting and a drought period during later flowering. Here, i will even post an article, you seem like you are interested in a good read: https://journals.ashs.org/hortsci/view/journals/hortsci/54/5/article-p964.xml They seem about all healty and perfect already. good luck, and stay lit growmie.

Sunday 20th a.m. The vertical growth along the side branches has just gone nuts the last week. The plants are putting out and it’s time to move into Flower today with lights staying off till tomorrow. The Nutrient plan is to continue and maximize Veg food for the next 2 weeks, then start transitioning veg food out and the bloom-makers in when the Hairs start accumulating. (~ 2-3 weeks into flower) -With Veg coming to an end, Temp and Humidity levels will be dropping a bit each week in Flower. Mon. p.m. 21st lites-on -So many new bud sites on the plants when the lites came on. The vertical reach is obvious. Looking at the footprint of these plants, I am thinking the bamboo stakes might be the best bet vs a Scrog Net. The flattest plant I’ve been involved with. “Stakes it is” I’d rather have them climb something that will support them as they go. There’s going to be a bunch. I have added a few shots of a simple use of Stakes from last Summer. Stakes had a HUGE impact on how the plant grew. Wed. Day 3 of Flower finds the super-cropped plants covered with new growth and leaves heading in all directions. While putting stakes in-place, it gave me a good chance to look at the structure, remove all previous tie-downs, and remove most of the problem leaves. Pruning was maybe a bit early, but the new growth was getting confusing. I will wait 3 weeks anyway to see what pruning needs done next. It can take hold of the stakes and there are many other branches that will be reaching up shortly. Now to be patient, let it reach and fill-in. -increased water volume slightly (1 gal/ea) and am moving to 3 days between waterings. Sat Dec 26; stakes have been added the last couple of days as these plants have exploded upwards. A week of flower and they are gonna put a show on. All seems to be really good. Molasses gets added to tonight’s nutrients (every third) and the last Foliar will happen in the morning at lites-out. That is a feeding technique that I had not tried before this grow. Used up till this last application, as recommended. -adjusting branches to promote growth and spacing.

Sun Dec 27 Witnessing a true Stretch heading into week 2 of flower. Hoping to keep Veg Nutrients high this week, and be prepared to switch/transition into the Flowering formulas at the sight of “Hairs” being formed on bud sites. -switched the direction of my light, to make the most efficient use of the light hood itself. Sticking with the diagonal set-up in the tent. Mon; chemistry is listed above ***plant was originally super-cropped between the 3rd & 4th node, there’s not much room underneath*** 4th / 5th node might be worth considering next time. - soil / sand-coating seems really dry. This 2nd week will see feeding every other day. Nutes will remain as is Until there’s changes ** Uv-B was brought to my attention a few weeks ago, (thx DoDrugs420) and I am going to run a side by side test on it. Later this week I plan to install a 18” uv-b tube above one of the two plants, for the duration of Flower. *** Working with stakes again is kinda fun. But I also remember nearly poking my eye out several times with them. Safety glasses and Marking the Ends of the Stakes is a really good method of preventing accidents *** Wed Dec 30th - Food includes Unsulphured Molasses tonight. Still including it every third watering/feeding -Going to wait one more feed before adding some bloom nutes. Crazy growth and activity at the bud sites. And no groups of gangly hairs Thurs Dec 31st “happy new year all !” Next feed will feature half Bloom half Veg nutes and will be on Jan 2nd -Uv-B bulb installed ~ 14” from angled canopy... -running it on a reduced schedule right now. 2 x 3 hours per nite till I get to see how the leaves like it Recommended **12 hr CMH / LED etc. = 8 hr Uv-B** - Uv-B Bulb found at a Pet Store ~ $34 cdn and a simple black light fixture ~ $33 got it up and running. UV-B light is Not to be viewed... it’s dangerous to human eyes / skin. Jan 1. Moving to Bloom food! New growth and the arrival of Hairs on both plants will see me start to change their diet. Tonight the first Bloom food will be given and the transition will be over 3 feeds. 1/3, 2/3 and full bloom recommendation. (Opposite with Medi-One) 2/3, 1/3, 0 -plants had many branches that needed to be repositioned and LST applied. Canopy was releveled. Cleaned out some useless leaves from the undercarriage -what a great way to start the new year. Having a tremendous grow... -going to slowly start pulling back on the Rapid Start, now that we are entering true flower stage. (4ml/gal down to 1.0-1.5ml/g by the end of week 6) Same goes for CaliMagic. I’ve taken it higher than previously, (5ml vs 2ml ) and the results are obvious. Time to let these numbers drop a bit, make room for Bloom.

Sunday Jan 3; Transitioning from Veg to Flower Nutes is in progress. Tonight sees 2/3 Bloom / 1/3 Veg and that’s it. - dropped tent temp down to 26C and humidity seems steady just under 50% - feeding schedule has been every other day. Stretching that to every 3 days after tonight ** water volume is my conundrum ** Do I add more water for the plant ? Am I giving enough Nutrients to the plant for it to grow big? Question Time ! &. Results: Volume of water was raised again for dinner tonight. 2.5 g between both plants. On the great advice I received today from 2 growers, and my desire to increase the amount of food that the plants see; the volume of water will go up and the time between feedings will resemble more of a 4 & 2 day cycle. Other Changes—- *”hand-weighing the pots” to get a Feel for moisture content, will become a regular task. **Giving the plants an extra day to absorb larger feedings, will become part of a staggered routine to help keep them on the Dry-Side Mad growth again today (sun p.m.), with the last taste of Medi-One out of the way early in week 3. A 4 day liquid-break and then 100% flower food. Jan 4 saw the plant looking well hydrated. No obvious run-off from yesterday’s feeding, says a deep watering has not happened yet. I will give the soil moisture a chance to recover, and increase next weeks Volume of water (aka nutrition) slightly once again. Breaking new ground ie: past a gallon per plant indoors and watering based on actual Needs. looking for real progress Jan 6th: next dinner is listed above, either tonight or tomorrow it will be used, based on how Dry the plants feel tonight Today is day 3 since the last watering. If possible I’ll hold-out till tomorrow. is Desert-like. Leaves are still pert. And the ~13 gallons or so of soil still feels bloody solid. So I’ll wait till a 4th day and feed it tomorrow. Fresh pictures uploaded w/ a video Jan 7: Fed each plant after 4 days without food or water, and they look great. Upped water volume 1/4 gal ea., (1.5 gal total ea.) and this will start the desired 4/2 watering schedule. Amount goes up each of next couple weeks. (Then taper off nutes and h2o in the last weeks is the plan) -plants looked great after 4 days without water. Here’s one for patience. -if the plant growth and bud development are any indication... the plant on the left appears to be a week ahead of the plant on the right. The one on the right just seems to be taking off now. Jan 8 Uv-B use has been s/d for the time being ~ 3 or 4 weeks. I am going to wait until there are actual buds on the branches, before making good use of the wavelength. * also behind that decision is the fact that the plant Under the Light, is solidly 4” behind the other since I started adding short periods of uv-b exposure. (The plants were exactly equal up until I started exposing the R plant for 1/2 the CMH exposure. ie: 6 hours) The plant lagging behind in reach and bud development, is the uv-b plant. And that’s only been using it since Dec 31st ! As it stands articles are saying to use the Uv-B later in flower. OK, I’m in ! Taking action on an observation. Sat Jan 9: - opening the tent tonight there was a 3” stretch over the course of the nite/day on the left. And it looks like the plant on the right is kicking-in as well. Slower, but happening. Like the whole L plant grew 3”

Is it enough or should I add more?! Famous questions for sure, but I am at a critical stage in a “best-yet” grow, and I want to make sure the plants are getting Enough Water. How do I make sure they are getting as Much as I can give them. Alternating between 2&3 day feeds

You can water your soil untill it is just about to see run off. You do not want any. I am also in 15gal container and a good watering is about 2gal. A deep watering help to assure that all the soil is moist. My ACE plants are a little bigger though... I water twice a week. Second watering is done 4 days later with about half quantity. Water uptake depends on RH, Temp, plant size, air circulation and stage of growth: not saying you should do a copy paste but it can help. Key is to no water again until soil is getting dry 3-4 inches on top and container is getting light, still before plant start to drop. Hope it helps!

First pic is showing off some of the stretch that has occurred. We start “Above the Stakes”this week. -Sun 10th; it looks like the R plant is making a solid effort in its Stretch, which has just begun & is really happening. The L plant is flourishing and nearing the end of its own stretch. There is an image of the pair with 3’ showing on a tape measure as reference. Jan 11 Good things are happening as the circle of branches starts fill in ! ** as a side note, the Uv-B is going back on for 6hrs a cycle (3+3) after some more reading and the recent stretch action from the plant on the R. Nothing wrong with a weeks delay in nature between sisters & UV-B sounds like solid tech. Power is on again ** - Dinner-time after 4 days. - Hole drilled in overhead corner-bracket, to help Centre the Light. - Plants have been rotated a bit, LST (lashing-some-timber lol) re-positioned a bunch of branches/stakes, meshing the two plants together, in the middle. nuf snapshots. details as the week-ends. -Nutrient ratios are Max’d as the volume will continue to climb for 2 more big feeds. -rapid-start & cal/mg have already been dialed back a bit. My watering volume per/24hr now shows my water use in metric. That # is based on the last 2 meals and I’m now looking at 5 days without nutes... 14th, Steady progress all the way round. Moving lights and supports as needed. Reach continues on the Right plant, while the Left continues to look amazing -molasses in next feed (Sat), TDS to be updated 15th -the volume of water my plants have been receiving, has been larger each of the last 4 feedings. Extra time between feeds has been allotted and watering based on Pot weight/dryness is keeping the plants Full and Green. -The next feed will be half the volume of the last one. The goal tomorrow (day 5 since last feed) is to immediately satisfy the plants nutritional needs with a small meal (7 litres/2), but then it’s going to scream for more food. This time I will wait only 2 days and return to the larger volume and a 4-5 day cycle. That’s the plan. Goal was to raise both the volume and demand for more nutrients. (Without creating a swamp) It’s been kind of patchwork getting the numbers-up, and this is the first pause in that steady climb. Both plants seem to be firing in all cylinders. Sun Jan17 - adding Molasses to each feeding from Week 5 on in to harvest. - 2 days since last half-feed. Big feed tonight and 5 day gap next. -Reached my Max H2o volume with solid Nutrition #’s. Plan is to hold levels for week 5/6 and then begin to taper nutes & volume slightly in 7/8 and hold till flush (11) & harvest (12/13) ** this grow is my best effort yet, if anybody sees or feels it’s getting “sideways”... I would love to hear about your opinion/concerns. ** The buds that are forming, actually have some substance to them. Tired of Indoor Popcorn. This grow is hapnin

Week starts strong with the R plant in full stretch, slowly catching-up to the larger L. Stretch for the Left plant may be coming to an end as the average Branch height is now 33”-34” above the soil. Head-room will be a problem soon enough with the Lights. Bending buds to one-side is next on the list as they all near their prime. Light has about 8” yet. 19th, finds me wondering why I removed Medi-one during week 3 of flower. I did as recommended and dropped its levels during the first two weeks of flower. Then stopped completely once Massive Bloom was fully introduced!? Here 2 weeks later I am going to re-introduce a small amount next feeding and p/u where the nutrient calculator states. -will update tds with the medi-one addition (1027ppm) -Finding the Bud/branch tips are getting extra Heat-exposure from the lite, vs the rest of the canopy. (I’m Not used to seeing such a tall reach) I am using LST and the average upper-leaf temperatures, to adjust the height of my CMH lamp. Heard some great advice about “Not letting your plants top leaves, get hotter than the room temp”. Real simple. - Room is 27c; top-leaf temp of 25c would be perfect. (~25.5) Looking for a degree or two below St/Pt from here on in. Will raise or lower the lite accordingly. (Having a laser thermometer in the bag, makes it very easy to monitor how much nrg is landing on the plant. Super accurate & instant temp. readings. Move the lite or plant a half-inch, there will be a measurable difference) 20th ** and as I was closing-up the tent last nite, I noticed ONE bud with Shrivelling Orange Pistils *** will follow-up on that tonight and hope there are a few more. Yep, pics to follow ** -sneeking a gallon of water with Medi-one/Ocean Magic @ 6 ml each, between the plants. re: getting medi-1 back in the mix, ahead of the Next scheduled feed on Fri. -1 gallon will just wet the appetites. Might delay normal dinner/nutes till Sat... (yes) -trimmed bad foliage for the last time and any new tiny buds low in the branch structure were removed Sat Jan 23 - big feed tonight after a long dry week. (1 gallon mid-week top-up; O.M. & Medi-1 @ 6ml ea., last reg feed was last Sun) - Increasing Ocean Magic application above marked & stated Volumes on the products. ie: current 2ml/gal., increasing towards 8ml/gal as per Company Officials. Because I’m using other G.P. products, there are confirmed safe & proven results at this higher ratio. **Ocean Magic Container labels state 2ml/gal for Soil use.** This 2ml recommendation to the masses, relates to mixing O.M. with Other Companies products; G.P. want no Culpable mistakes associated with their products and general grower nutrient issues. “If your using Ocean Magic, along with the rest of G.P. products... the company states it can be used @ 8ml/gal (2ml/L) in Soil via their Nutrition Calculator.” I’ll post it... - (per litre) & its recommended that way. I’m making the jump, not having full buds in the past few grows, makes this an easy path to follow. Look-out tds ! No fiction here, it took 3 emails and resulted in a direct phone conversation with Mark @ Green Planet. Thanks again!! -People fear failure and in this case unfortunately, I think it has affected how Green Planet communicates their products potential successes. I am making the insider-move from 2ml to 8ml. I think they are missing a big boat by not openly sharing this beneficial info on product labels. To see this info, you must FIND it online! My regret is that while continually trying to improve my own efforts and create an organic environment the last 2 or 3 seasons, this product has always been under-applied by me... by 75% !! Product Label instructions ! “Use @ 2ml/gal for Soil and root feeding” But, if you look in the right place (on-line nutrient calculator) ...“it states directly to use Ocean Magic@ 8ml/gal.” That is what has me shaking my head. I’m not bitter, just sharing the facts & Trying to finish with a strong grow. Fear Not GREEN PLANET, I’m not going anywhere ! (I’m Going to raise your Ocean Magic sales rates though) cheers Nutes: - dinner tonight has lots of everything re: 1270ppm TDS, without molasses. Adding 2 Tablespoons took it to 1360ppm. Close enough for today. Fed and done Sun 24 - rotate the plants and mesh the canopies & supports together for another week. LST as needed - dropping the humidity a bit as we approach week 6. - Tent @ 25.5c. New R.H. target = 53%

Jan 25th - both photos are from last nite (24th) Water and Nutrients are now Max’d and will be for the next 3 feeds before tapering off towards a flush, end of week 9 - pics tonight of the skinny-assed Sativa leaves in and around the plants crown. -reined-in some of the taller branches by affixing them back onto the fabric pot. Pulling them down slightly. Jan 26, - raised the lights a couple of inches. Trying to keep top-leaf temps under the Room temp by at least a degree ~ 1.5 avg -seems that the blossoms have responded to all the food and water. Sticky Buds for the 1st-time and a Strong (beautiful) smell I cannot get my head around yet. Funky Citrus for sure. - R.H. dropped again ~ 50% - 3 tablespoons Molasses added for tonight’s feast. day 5 since last nutes *** just an observation; I’m either just at the right time in Flower, (week 6 of 11-13) or increasing the Ocean Magic content 3x has HAD a huge impact on the Bud development & Terpene population. There are Crystals galore on the sugar leaves and bud surfaces. 2ml/L on their Bottles product Label vs 8ml/L on the G.P. Nutrition Calculator, are each company recommendations on how to use the product... ? ! I’ve made the move to 8ml/L in the last 3 feeds. 30th Jan - big growth in the actual blossoms and hairs. The Left plant has flowers that have begun to wrap around the branches and join the other buds above and below. The stretch in the L plant had drastically slowed and the R plant is catching-up nicely ~ 7-10 days behind. 31st - top dressing the pot(s) tonight, ahead of their next feed. Quite a “settling” of the top surface since the first waterings. And now that they are getting some serious water (usually over a 3-4 hour period) there is room for ~ 2” soil, and another inch of Sand. Everything else has been Max’d, might as well include the playground !! - retained some of the original potting mixture, minus perlite & shrimp compost... that goes on tonight, 31st. ** ha, should be fun with all of the Stakes in the soil... focus, pic to follow Feb 1 - 16 Litre feeding tonight, to send the Ladies into the 2nd half of Flower. Planning & Maintenance is all I am thinking is left to do. Between the lines till 2nd week March ... -will try and get an image tonight showing the terpene explosion and changes happening on the plants - small increase in Molasses took TDS to 1370. No higher from here on in.

Starting week 7 of Flower finds me planning the next 6, including scheduling a Flush and Tapering the Nutrients off in the next month. - ReStaked a few branches for even spacing & At the End of last week I top-dressed both pots with fresh Soil n Sand. -fresh material at play and the plants are using a lot of water. -able to feel when the big pots are drier and ready for water, by lifting one-end regularly. Just to gauge weight... it’s working. This grow has me trying to establish a much bigger root-ball; re 15 gal pots / 16 litre feeds ... I’ve laughed at some of the previous ones. Feb 2nd, Buds are touching, conditions are being changed slowly mid-flower & hoping they get real chubby in the coming weeks. With the constant reminders that quality grows take longer to mature in Flower than the literature usually states; my plan is to Flush sometime during week 10 (month end) - Three weeks to make it count. Trichomes to dictate Feb 4, - getting my head around htf I’m going to flush this pair in 3+ weeks. Low ceiling+tall sink+tall plant. Feb6 - slight reduction in Calimag and the next feed will see rapidstart reduced as well. Small moves but in the right direction. - tonight is a scheduled feed. Volumes have been big over the last 3 weeks and I am deciding to give the plants an extra couple days without Water, to make sure it is on the dry side as we enter the 2nd half of flower. Feb 7th - the UV-B light just might be having an impact on the buds of the R plant. There are a number of buds that are becoming obviously covered in Resin Glands. - used a moisture meter, the bottom of both pots is a bit wet. Patience wins... This is the plant that physically is still ~ 10 days behind the L plant. just an observation... As this week wraps-up, my plans for next week are to reduce the light cycle by 30 min to 11.5 hrs lite per day. And to drop the humidity another 2%. But that’s for next week. All is going strong at this point, Buds are filling out, smell at the door of the tent is obvious; earthy & dank. Up close from touching a bud it explodes of a Citrus smell. That’s the best description so far Feb 9th, almost a week since last water/nutes, tonight is a green light. Actually felt the pot lighter. Moisture Meter agreed. 17L later ... - balanced the branches / supports and found a good fit between the two pots under the one light. -adding more fresh air to the tent also helped drop the RH a bit. Ready for this transition. - A dry week in reality, cannot wait to see the changes next week after this last, big Max nutrient feed. ** bottom leaves had just began to droop as I watering the plant. Did manage to take it close to the edge mid-way through flower, now it’s Hungry at a critical time. Come on week 8

Feb 11th Week 8 is off to a good start. - lite-cycle; 11.5 hrs on, 12.5 hrs off - reducing rapidstart / CaliMag - increasing molasses - Reducing Volume of water > 14L next feed. Only 4 feeds till flush if all goes well. Feb 13th - USB scope shows that there is still a lot of development to come. Trichomes still showing clear in many areas. - 3 areas were checked & it’s 50/50 with clear / cloudy trichomes. Week 8 of Flower from a proposed 11-13 -no food tonight, soil still damp 15th - Lite cycle down to 11 hrs on, 13 off Feb 16th - reduced UVB time by an hour. Using 5 in total ( 2x 2.5 hrs ) - down to 3 feeds; before flush. Trichomes will be checked 1st - raised light a bit ~ 19” from closest Bud - planning Flush -targeting 40% RH 18th - finishing week 8 of Flower with a proactive move on shortening the lite-cycle again; 10 On - 14 Off. Goal is to promote Resin production, Bud-filling and hopefully bring the show to a tidy finish, on-time. - Took a few pictures last nite, posting later today - Calyxes really seem to be swelling and filling in

Feb 19th, - week 9 of flower sees a lot of subtle changes going on. The smell at the door is one, and it’s becoming a very dense and dark odour. Fruit-like up close. - Molasses doubled as root boosters get removed and Calimg has only 1 feed left, tonight. - Mar 1 is the tentative flush, first day of week 11 in flower. Those will be a long couple of weeks, feeding h20 & sugar only - noticing the stems of Fan leaves are turning Red/Crimson on L plant. A few are in the R as well. ** question asked about Red Stems ** 23rd - noticing a definite increase in the Trichomes of the Buds, under the UVB (pics tonight). There are simply more now and it’s kinda obvious when side by side. Lite spill from uvb is falling on the left plant as well, but not from 14” - feed tonite will include a bit of CaliMag once again moving forward and a lingering taste of Medi-One. - Trichomes were checked today. As happy as I was to see a few Amber ones. They were very wide-spread with most of the others still 50/50 clear and cloudy. - Based on todays Trichome check; hoping to flush ~ Mar 7 now. That will be the end of 11 complete weeks of Flower. FYI: Breeders expectation "11-12” weeks. Happy to see it linger a bit, diet, humidity and lighting changes have been incremental throughout. How quickly the next changes happen ie: clear to cloudy etc., I have no idea. Would love to see ~ 10% Amber, just enough to say it’s Very ripe. ( Not in any way thinking of couch-lock lol ) - literature & product labels on Humic Acid recommend usage throughout Veg & Flower... just Not the last 3 weeks. That rules this batch out... So the next batch(s) get introduced. - Macro shots tonight of the Buds under the UVB... cannot wait. ** found 1 bud on the R plant, that had quite a bit of Amber showing. Nowhere to be seen in the L plant, but it looks like a high concentration of Cloudy Trichomes on the L regardless. One more serious search tonight of the R plant and it may just be time for a rinse. Surprised to see so many Ambers, alone on this one bud. Pics uploaded ! re: 24th a.m. Feb24th, - when the lights came on this evening, I did another thorough check on both plants and there were more Amber trichomes found. Ready or not, both plants were Thoroughly flushed. - Flush aid used in the process. - 10 Litres of Water was mixed with Molasses / Rezin as the first liquids poured into the plants, after the Flush... - when it came right down to it, the sudden appearance and then rapid spreading of the Amber Trichomes made it an easy call, to flush both plants. Thoughts on the amount of white hairs left... they have a couple weeks to get their shit together... if I can get a couple weeks of flushing-in, that’s a definite bonus. 25th - humidity spike in the Tent. doors are cracked and a floor fan has been added for extra air flow. Exhaust fan increased... 26th, no liquid to remove from the plants btm Trays, but still showing a high humidity. R.H. coming down slowly, aimed the fans at the fabric pots... doors cracked etc. * why mess around, hooked up the dehumidifier... R.H. dropping, end of issue

Feb 27th Since the flush, I have had a hard time keeping the humidity in check. The dehumidifier (domestic) just seems to be kicking out way to much heat vs moisture removal. Tent temp spiked to 27, moving dehumidifier outside tent, building tiny duct... - doors are cracked, room is venting, extra fan aimed at each side of fabric pots, blowing on the fabric/dirt to assist in drying... - looking at reasonable dehumidifiers that would assist in a 4x4 tent. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Tiny room, heading into a humid Spring environment... Feb 28 the plants look great though. Resin crystals are piling-up. Calyx's are doubling in size while the buds picks up size and density ! pics tonight - day 4 since the flush, hoping tonight sees the end of moisture retention - new A/C / dehumidifier brought into service. target 39% Rh and 23c - whole tent got shuffled to fit the new gear. go figure. - Buds look great, they seem to have some sparkle, and definitely, the calyx are still expanding - with the humidity finally in-check, and it’s day 4 since the flush... the plants are going to get a drink of Molasses tonight. Moisture meter says I’m borderline. Green lite at this stage = 7 L. - it took a bit to get the balance in the room established, now that everything is under-sized, compared to the A/C Humidifier. - With the exhaust cranked, it took More fresh-air into the tent, to help steady the climate out Mar 2nd -many of the white hairs that were all over the buds, have turned orange/brown and are now wrapping up the buds - 7th day since the Flush, all seems good - trichomes are checked daily and the move to Amber seems to be on hold, while most of the others are turning cloudy. Bonus - humidity is under control. 40-45% now. later this weekend it'll go to >40% for the final week. Mar 5th - Buds continue to fill up and the Yellow leaves are climbing higher up the plant. - found quite a bit of new Amber, so there may only be a day or two left of light. -leaves are a bit limp, split a gallon of water/Molasses between the plants to get them through the next few days, then it’s 36 hrs of dark - the Calyx growth has been crazy the last couple of days. Buds are definitely getting phat as the Calyx are popping up everywhere - smell is sharp and almost dark - entering week 11 of Flower tomorrow, things seem to be finishing up nicely. Lots of milky Trichomes with a splash of Amber here and there. I’ll give them till Sunday.

Mar 6th - last-light tonight for Panama x Malawi. what was the old news flash...? “pictures at 11” - then a minimum 36 hrs in the dark. RH 35-40% A wet-trim b4 hanging is planned. See where that gets us... - pictures taken and lites out by 21:00. -Harvest starts Monday Afternoon - still working from phone pics, more later Mar 8 -Tent gets opened at Noon after ~ 40 hrs of dark. Then it’s pictures and a trim as Harvest happens today.. - a video has been added to the pictures, doing a last lap around the tent before they were harvested Mar 10th -off the clothesline, trimmed & weighed and now into a tent for temp & humidity control. - 4-5 days of 19c @ 50-55% Rh is the target Mar 13th both batches were weighed and contained. Left plant was both Larger and contained more Pot that the Right plant, which has historically been smaller from the start Left plant contained 5.6 ounces. The Right plant, which also had the UV-B bulb, and was smaller, contained 4.6 ounces. ... poking at details and photos as you read this

It was an absolute pleasure putting out the effort to maintain the diary. And it allowed for an accurate history of my actions and obstacles, to be put down as a simple story. The response from Co-Growers and the Pros were all absolutely helpful and directly to the point. Thanks to all that took the time to look at the diary. I now have a solid reference to look back on as I move forward. BioChar, Humic/Fulvic Acid, FIMming and UV-B bulbs have all become tools during this grow. The question of whether or not the UV-B bulb had any impact led to a Solid Yes. There were more Trichomes on the buds immediately under the UV-B bulb than on the Left bush There also seemed to be an elevated flavour from the sample of the buds from the SMALLER plant. Both plants were the same size in Week3 of flower when I turned the bulb on. And the R bush almost immediately became a little behind the other in height. (** reading more about CMH LIGHT BULBS, if you are using these bulbs, you do Not need any supplemental UV-B lites. That wavelength is included in the CMH output*** “so I’ve read” My little set-up is now in the led tent!) Same densities and branch structures. Just 6” shorter Open to any comments and observations. There will be more info coming shortly... Trying to wrap it up tonight, 14th One item that I was not able to get an accurate position on, was the RH target in people’s tents late in flower. My actions were to progressively reduce the humidity as the grow progress. At the same time there were equal growers running in the hi-50’s just prior to harvest... Still not settled on what’s the best RH for finishing indoors. After the flush, my room was 40% (or less) Growing something from Panama indoors... I’m going with higher humidity next time for sure ! Inspecting the root ball also left me with some questions and initiatives about healthy roots. It appears the roots of the Panama Malawi did not grow very much Past the original 1 gallon pot size. Yes, there was new growth throughout the 15 gallon pots... but not to the degree I had hoped. This was my first effort at building larger feeding volumes. I had hoped it would lead to a bigger network of Roots... Something to work on. Next Winter, as there will be 1 more of these Ladies going into action, right beside something from the Congo... And I will be ready to give it that extra week (or two) it deserved! So I’m already looking forward to it. July 11th finds this batch simply incredible tasting Herb with a trajectory not normally found in day to day Herb. Exotic is a fair word for the taste and smell, as the toke continues to expand. 3 tokes-in you usually have to re-light, cuz ya lost track and it went out lol. Seriously, you will chuckle to yourself, and carry-on Definitely worth the outlay. Cheers All. ~ db 1right_angle
