Impressive growth this week, and right on schedule, these girls are flowering. I appear to have the claw, (nitrogen burn) on the little plant that could. Ive been flushing with plain water for about a week now, seems to have recovered. The others are jamming. Had to do a little more LST tie down to some of the taller branches. Purple starting to pop in the center of the bud sites. Overall happy so far.

Well, interesting week, everything was looking up the last few weeks and bam, looks like I have a magnesium deficiency. Started flushing it out with ph water 6.5 and epsiom salt. These gals might be more sensitive to nutes than I originally thought. Cut out all notes and purpinator. Does look better every day, less yellow. Bud growth is still great, and other than the yellowing leaves everything looks to be going good. Any tips, thoughts, or suggestions welcome.

Does this look like magnesium deficiency?

It does indeed seem like a Magnesium (Mg) deficiency! It may be caused by a couple of reasons, one is a calcium toxicity (which is recognized by dark foliage and blotching in mid to top leaves) this inhibits Magnesium, Potassium and other micro/trace-nutrients - this is less likely but keep an eye for any signs of more deficiencies if you cant accurately identify it as Calcium toxicity. Second reason is just lack of Magnesium in your fertilizing solution, most magnesium additives/fertilizers com paired with Calcium or included in the macro-nutrient base fertilizers. First try checking the pH for the correct range (5.5-6.5), then increase or add magnesium in to your solution, and if the problem persists or even shows more signs of deficiency then remove all Calcium fertilizers you use (don't stop with the base/NPK fertilizers) and give her a heavy irrigation to "flush" out the excess Calcium. Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing :)

Another intresting week, still battling magnesium deficiency. Bud growth still seems good though, although it seemed better before the magnesium issue. Seems to have gotten better in the center plant, and stayed the same if not gotten a bit worse in the right and little plant that could. Thinking my problem was preventable by doing more research on my soil before planting. The more you know right....... Flushed it last week, tested run off and in the center plant it was at 6.3 which was good, the other two were at 5.8, to low probably why they aren't recovering how I want. Added some dolomite lime to the soil as well as epsom salt to the water and nutrient schedule. A cal-mag foliar spray was recommended, trying not to do to much this close to harvest.

Any thoughts on using a cal-mag foliar spray to cure the magnesium deficency, as all steps have been taken to raise soil PH in 2 out of 3 plants?

I don't think you have a mag def.. I think it's actually a lock out type situation. What your describing and from what your feeding purp and big bloom from day 1.... You have saturated the medium with salts. Check your tds and ph your run off. Then you should have some idea where to go from there. But do not foliar spray at this stage. Your plant has actually been slowing down for quite some time now. look to your feeding practices.. I'm sorry I know it's not nice to hear for some.. But yes you have indeed done something wrong.. I mistakes all the time.. It's just important to identify your hand in all this growing stuff.. Plants want to grow.

So after testing run off ph and soil ph (both around 6.3) and trying everything to cure what I thought was a mag deficieny, or nutrient lock out, I noticed the areas of the plants that were effected most were the left sides, and the closer to the EZCO2 organic co2 supply the worse the plants were. Checked CO2 levels with a friends meter and I was pushing 2700ppm, well above toxic levels, my meter was showing a consistent 1100ppm. Removed the organic CO supply and within 12 hours the plants looked renewed. Buds really showed good growth this week. Almost seems like less is more with these plants. You live and you learn. Heres to the next 3 weeks going off without any issues.

Another good week, not many changes. Buds are really filling out nicely and that purple is starting to pop more and more. Smells delicious and cannot wait to try this strand out. Let the final flush commence.

Week one of the flush, these girls are right on time. Trichomes are turning milky and very few are turning amber. Looking like any day now. Would like to see them turning a little more amber. Definitely harvest by Sunday.
