Bombs Away

So after almost 2 weeks I decided to take a look. I saw the root had formed but the seed wasn’t opening. I took a razor blade and popped open the seed. After 12 hours is what you see in the photo. Not sure if I damaged anything or not. I then went to my germination pod where I had two seeds sitting in peat cubes for a week and did the same thing but I think I damaged one. Not happy at all with these bomb seeds.

(Monday Dec 28th) So week 2 has started and she’s till pretty small. Fed her more water than I would have liked this morning by accident (500ml). Added a ml of Miicrobial Mass which doesn’t seem to be too popular on this site yet so I added a picture of it.We’ll see how this week progresses but I may skip watering tomorrow completely. (Wednesday Dec 30) I skipped watering both yesterday and today and it looks dry on top of soil and on my reader beneath the surface so I’ll water again tomorrow morning. I hear it’s better to under water than over water so this should do it good. Marginal growth in two days which is good considering the big drink she got.

(Monday) Week 3 is here and she has started to grow at a good pace. Easing into the nutes to she how she’ll respond and added a CO2 bottle to improve the quality of air. Not sure if this is a gimmic or not - anyone have an opinion there? (Wednesday) Went with the same mixture for today’s water but will likely feed her just water next. She’s really starting to take off. Took out the humidifier and it’s holding strong at 30% so I’m good with it. (Friday) Haven’t watered since Wednesday and will likely not until tomorrow as it’s still damp below the surface. Happy with the way things are going now.

Here we are, Week 4 and things are going well. She’s growing at a steady rate and leaves are extending. A slight smell is developing as she gets ready to flower. (Monday) I included a picture of the yellowing that occurred last week due to heat/water stress. I flipped off the COB lighting as it was heating up the tent too much. Added an uplift in nutes this round to see how she reacts. (Wednesday) Slight smell has started outside the tent so it’s almost time to turn on the exhaust fan. Fed her 1L of PH water - surprising my tap water is 6.5 which is nice. Plant perked right up after that. Added the bag of C02 along with the capsule which is at the end of two weeks on Sunday. This thing is growing over night but still a bit of a runt compared to other grows on this site. We’ll see if she flowers on schedule next week or keeps vegging for another week.

(Monday) I moved it into flower as this is the expected week for flowering but I don’t see any strong indication yet. Turned the COB lighting back on to induce perhaps? I feel like she doubled in size overnight. I also started LST but then aborted it as you may see from the shape of the main sock. I’ll spend some more time with her and perhaps bend the main stock down again. Slight smell but nothing too strong yet. Watering is back and forth with nutes and Ph’d tap water which she loves. (Wednesday ) I moved it back to Veg as it’s still not in flower - to me anyway. You can see where it will start to flower but to me that doesn’t classify as such. I’ve started to tuck leaves to give some of the chutes some light exposure and gave her, her first hair cut. Growing like a weed though 😂 (Saturday) Bigger hair cut this morning as we approach flower. She’s up to 4L (1 gallon) every 3 days - this watering full nutes so she’s ready to go for all phases of bloom. Not a strong smell yet but I’m expecting that to change soon. Seeing about 8 chutes where bud should start to form. Keeping all small growth below the tops bare to endorse bigger crowns. Fingers crossed.

Flower Power. (Monday) So it’s clear we’re into bloom now. I stretched the plant as best I could to max light penetration and fed her 4L of water. Now I watched her grow! (Thursday) Had to cut off the biggest fan leaves as they were covering too much of the canopy. She’s responded well to the lst and pruning so hopefully she does here as well. I’m thinking that should be it but will keep an eye on things. Next watering is likely Saturday with some nutes again. Smell is starting to build but only slightly

(Monday) Full steam ahead with the Berry Bomb and everything looks great. That top cola just keeps growing which is in character for the strain; can’t wait to see what the bud looks like at that end of the grow. I’m following the recommended nute schedule for Advanced Nutrients and showing no signs of burn so I’ll stay the course and not push it too much. Not a lot of smell compared to precious grows but I’m ok with that being in my basement (Thursday) Everything looks good, still rotating every other feed with nutes and pH balanced water. We’re sitting at almost 2 feet now and most of the bud sites are getting direct light. I would love to prune a bit but fear I’m too deep into flower and don’t want to stunt her. (Saturday) This morning was just B-52 and Big Bud but forgot to PH it 6.5x the last read was 6.8 so I’m not worried. Notice the leaf tips at the top have just started to yellow. Could be light damage or nute burn. Will keep an eye on it.

Week 8’ is here and she’s starting to thicken up. Looking forward to see how she finishes based on how it already looks. Starting to get frosty around the bed sites but also pretty leafy. I’ll have to read up on that. (Thursday) Smell is picking up, and buds are becoming really frosty. So far this plant is pretty impressive - aside from the germination process which seems to be common. (Sunday) Smell is strong now, red hairs are coming through. 2 more weeks of nutrients and a flush. Time has flown by for this grow, need to finish strong.

A little late posting this week. (Wednesday) Smell is strong, even touching the plant now requires serious hand washing. Plant is showing a lot of terpenes and is basically kicking ass. Hairs have started turning red as we approach the last couple weeks. I’ll start taking a closer look at the colour of terpes next week and be ready for a flush. (Friday) This thing is chunky! Really happy with this grow so far. Added my first video too. (Sunday) Checked the trichomes this am and all still clear. I’m guessing 2 more weeks so the flushing starts next feed.

(Monday) Trichomes are milky so flush week will commence. I’ll do a week of Florakleen only to get rid of any salts and nutrients in the root base and then just pure ph’d water for final week. Not rushing this as I wasn’t super happy with my last grow of Zkittlez because of my cure. (Thursday) Posted a pic of the first “dark and curly” as I like to call the amber trichomes. Smell has really shifted to a sweet, berry scent. The first time I’ve smelt weed like that.

Final week (I think) This plant is just one big bud now. Smelling fantastic and looking gorgeous. Checked the terpenes this morning a only a few more amber which makes me think this light stretch another week. Two florakleen flushes now so from here on out it’s just water. (Thursday) So believe it or not I don’t think this is going to be finished this weekend as I had hoped. It still might have another week left. Only starting to see multiple amber trichomes under the microscope and I don’t really want to rush it based on what my timeline should be. I want this to be perfect or as close to it as possible based on my skill set. Going to ride it out with just ph water and see how it goes.

Final push and flush. She just had a drink of Phd water and I expect one more on Wednesday before lights out Thursday and Friday. She’s looking amazing! (Wednesday) Lights out! Harvest on Friday night

So all in all, a great little plant to grow. Very frustrating trying to get the seeds to tap and others post about the same thing. I had zero issues with this plant once growing. I didn’t push her with nutes and kept the 18-6 time schedule. The smell is amazing, the taste is living up the hype after a 3 week cure. I dried using the herbsnow dryer and reintroduced humidity for a couple weeks after. Couldn’t be happier with that. Very smooth smoke and I’d say perfect level of THC for me - I would guess about 18-20%? The difficulties of getting this going would keep me from growing this again vs trying other strains. I’m just too early in my gardening career to try it again but i recommend it to anyone who gets it tapped easier that me
