3/8 - We're at 66 days and she continues to grow wider and denser a few days after I defoliate. The tent real estate is pretty tight right now, so I'm shopping around for a 4x4. After looking at other GL diaries, this strain is known to grow huge! I'm just anxious as to when I'll start seeing buds! 3/10 - Goldie is definitely getting some sunburn on top so I've raised the lamp a few more inches and she's now about 20 inches away and the lamp is dimmed to 75%.. gave a good nute-filled watering with cal mag. Fourth flowering week, so I'm guessing 4 more weeks? I still don't see any developed nugs yet. She's going to be a biggun'!

Grow Questions

Other than recommended distance from the manufacture, how do I know how dim/bright the light should be? Also, since these are autos, do I flip at 5 weeks, or just keep going until I’m ready to?

Leave the light cycle on at the same timing the whole life of an auto—- 18/6, 20/4, or 24/0— whatever you do. I personally don’t dim after week two. Seedlings get 59% at 24 inches and I gradually increase power and decrease distance. Good luck ✌️🏻💚🌿

@weezy90 I have it dimmed to about 35% at 19”. I may be paranoid but I think I see slight tacoing! Should I crank to 90%? 100%?

I'd raise your to 24" inches above the canopy.. Not the floor. And crank it to 90-100%. I don't see any tacoing.. Tacos look different. You've got a lot of light power you might as well use it especially with autoflowers as the growing cycle is shorter so the more light the better. Your plants might get a bit cranky from the changes in light levels.. But they should be fine with the light at that level..

This plant is going on 13 weeks without a flower bud in site. And it seems really lime green? and a lot of purple stems? I'm not sure if something is wrong ugh. These re ILGM autos in 82F/RH 35%. I know below 80 is ideal, but I'm having difficulty keeping the temps down.

A Magnesium deficiency can cause purple stems. Heat or especially cold can trigger this, as far as the lime-colored leaves this is normally a problem with iron, and after looking at your ph you could be having a lockout. The ph should be between 6.0-6.5, also if you want to help the auto flower you can switch to a 12/12 light cycle I've had to do it plenty of times to help out autos, they just do this sometimes.

Hi fella, you have done a good job she looks healthy maybe just cut back on the watering a little to let them perk up a bit, remember roots need oxygen too, unless you just watered before the pics, if your going down the defoliation route then every grower will have a different perception of this, she looks good, the leaves (even the small ones now) may become an issue to yield eventually, but for now happy days keep growing 👍

It's 5 months and she needs to give up her real estate. Is Gold Leaf ready for harvest? I was thinking another week or two to get a few more amber heads. Thoughts?

Hi mate, looks like there are still a few clear and upright trichomes to be seen. Waiting till they are more cloudy and amber but also the trichomes should look bent over as the head grows. She is looking awesome though, well done! Another couple of weeks should do her but check to see. I'm sure she will be almost there. Good luck and happy growing
