Day 1: I'm growing an ILGM special seed along with WW (in another diary). Gold leaf! Currently sitting in a dark warm place in the cupboard. I'm going to try a different method where I let it sit in the water until the tail grows...THEN plant it.

Still doing her thang. She got a nice water soak yesterday. Otherwise, I don't mess with Goldie Jawn. She's been through enough trauma!

Other than recommended distance from the manufacture, how do I know how dim/bright the light should be? Also, since these are autos, do I flip at 5 weeks, or just keep going until I’m ready to?

Leave the light cycle on at the same timing the whole life of an auto—- 18/6, 20/4, or 24/0— whatever you do. I personally don’t dim after week two. Seedlings get 59% at 24 inches and I gradually increase power and decrease distance. Good luck ✌️🏻💚🌿

@weezy90 I have it dimmed to about 35% at 19”. I may be paranoid but I think I see slight tacoing! Should I crank to 90%? 100%?

I'd raise your to 24" inches above the canopy.. Not the floor. And crank it to 90-100%. I don't see any tacoing.. Tacos look different. You've got a lot of light power you might as well use it especially with autoflowers as the growing cycle is shorter so the more light the better. Your plants might get a bit cranky from the changes in light levels.. But they should be fine with the light at that level..

2021-01-30: Dealing with some wilting leaves here. She doesn't like the new light and the heat that comes with it. I've moved the drivers outside the tent and repositioned I continue to monitor without doing too much of anything. She had her first taste of Recharge nutrients. I only give a gentle pour around the perimeter because this is already a supersoil. G-d help us!

6w2d (44 days) - Looks like she's in the first week of flowering. Had a decent (and very complicated) feed a few days ago. Ole girl is growing a bit wild so I decided to defoliate a little to get rid of the yellowing or burnt leaves.

I think GOLDIE JAWN is looking much better since the last update. I continue to use pH'd water and cal mag for feedings. I'll likely lay off the Cal-Mag and do straight water for the next feeding or two. She's finally at a stage where there was room to do some serious LSTing. I also removed all the ugly leaves to make sure they weren't leeching nutrients and to thin out the plant to give more room for sun love. I'm pretty stoked on how she's growing out. I'm stoked to see what the flowering nugs will look like and how much bigger this plant will be. 2/26 - Heavy defoliation because the plant wsa getting too bushy and some sections were completely in the darkness.

GOLDIE JAWN is chugging along. I did a lot of heavy defoliation and she's growing much better. Watering happens roughly every two days. There's still a lot of foliage at the bottom and I'm tempted to defoliate down there so more resources can go towards the bigger flower sections. I do wonder why I'm not seeing more flowering in the 8th week. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

3/8 - We're at 66 days and she continues to grow wider and denser a few days after I defoliate. The tent real estate is pretty tight right now, so I'm shopping around for a 4x4. After looking at other GL diaries, this strain is known to grow huge! I'm just anxious as to when I'll start seeing buds! 3/10 - Goldie is definitely getting some sunburn on top so I've raised the lamp a few more inches and she's now about 20 inches away and the lamp is dimmed to 75%.. gave a good nute-filled watering with cal mag. Fourth flowering week, so I'm guessing 4 more weeks? I still don't see any developed nugs yet. She's going to be a biggun'!

11w3d (80d) - She's pretty boring quite honestly. I thought I'd see more flowering but it looks like she's regressed. The flowering sites were much more pronounced a few weeks ago and I'm not sure what's happening. She gets taller and thicker and I keep defoliating. I've also been having some issues with high temps in the tent. I purchased a larger tent and may have to buy a small A/C unit. Watering with straight pH'd water but may consider a feed since the ppms are kinda low.

This bitch is annoying now! Almost 13 weeks and not a hint of a flower bud. Something seems off and I'm not sure what it is. Are the stems too purple? Is she too lime green? I dunno...

This plant is going on 13 weeks without a flower bud in site. And it seems really lime green? and a lot of purple stems? I'm not sure if something is wrong ugh. These re ILGM autos in 82F/RH 35%. I know below 80 is ideal, but I'm having difficulty keeping the temps down.

A Magnesium deficiency can cause purple stems. Heat or especially cold can trigger this, as far as the lime-colored leaves this is normally a problem with iron, and after looking at your ph you could be having a lockout. The ph should be between 6.0-6.5, also if you want to help the auto flower you can switch to a 12/12 light cycle I've had to do it plenty of times to help out autos, they just do this sometimes.

4/13 - Finally have some flowering action! Fancy pH meter arrived (absolutely worth it). Flushed with one gallon, then fed week 1 Bergman's Flowering Fertilizer. Next feed will be pH'd water and maybe cal mag. Still need to move her to the big tent! Also pH'd the nute feed at 6.0 and happy to see the runoff is in normal range now. 4/11 - Still no full bud formations yet. I feel like she looks a bit healthier after dealing with Nute lock. She grows so big so fast and I'm running out of room! Watering with non-PH'ed tap water until my fancy pH meter arrives.

Hi fella, you have done a good job she looks healthy maybe just cut back on the watering a little to let them perk up a bit, remember roots need oxygen too, unless you just watered before the pics, if your going down the defoliation route then every grower will have a different perception of this, she looks good, the leaves (even the small ones now) may become an issue to yield eventually, but for now happy days keep growing 👍

4/19- We're at 108 days (15w 3d) and she started to outgrow the 2x4 tent, so I finally moved her to the new 4x4 tent with plenty of headroom. I'm going to feed her today with Bergman's week 2 Fertilizer, continuing to do 1 gal of ph'd water for a mini flush, then another gallon with the fertilizer mix. ps- I highly recommend the AC Infinity tent and their venting setup with the LCD interface. Legit changed the game for me and it's only day 2! 4/20 (!) Fed week 2 Bergman's Fertilizer with the "pre-rinse." I wonder if I should stop doing that (pre-flush).

17w0d (119d) - We're in week 4 of flowering. Watered today with nutes and the runoff is definitely normalizing. I used my new TDS meter and, when compared to my old one, the numbers are vastly different. I'm gonna go with the new meter now unless something goes wack. 17w6d (125d) - About to head into week 5 of flower and look at ole girl growing! I did some very light lsting with pipe cleaners to open up the foliage and allow more light penetration. This is super late and risky, but Goldie Jawn lives on the edge.

Hi mate, looks like there are still a few clear and upright trichomes to be seen. Waiting till they are more cloudy and amber but also the trichomes should look bent over as the head grows. She is looking awesome though, well done! Another couple of weeks should do her but check to see. I'm sure she will be almost there. Good luck and happy growing

I didn't catch the wet weight. All that matters to me is the dry that I will be SMOKIN'. I'm using a wedryer XL for the first time. Should be done in 3-4 days before curing. I ended up with ~8 ounces. Not bad for a girl I didn't know was fem and not auto until 8 weeks in! It took a little over 5 months (!) to grow, and tested my patience in every way. But I'm super stoked about the outcome.
