Using GHE micro, gro, and bloom, plus calci magic. Even though nute schedule and environmental conditions identical, one of these girls seems pale and a bit thin. Plan to increase bites on girl that looks a bit weaker.

I am on my third auto grow. First two were pretty good, but this current grow seems to be a bit off. Can’t figure out what is different. I have mimicked (more or less) my steps for each, but these girls seems to be stunted! Maybe I am reading into it too much?

I’ve grown a handful of autos, specifically from ILGM. I find that almost a 50/50 shot that you’ll get a slow grower. I dunno maybe I’m crazy but I’ve been in the same situation - same nutes same tent and conditions, one grows twice the size as the same, and it’s the same strain. Usually as flowering develops mine have ended up making up for some of the growth. Just my experience.

Had a bit of an over watering issue, maybe some questionable root development issues. May be more of a “medium is to dense” issue. Note made to add more perlite to coco next round. Ladies are putting on some inches and flowers are finally springing back after a slow week 6-7. Plan is to go easy on water, no more defoliation, just feed, water, and let things ride out for remaining 4 or so weeks.

End of week 8, per flora trio refining I am using no more floragro moving forward. Buds have increased in size this week, BUT, I am seeing the serrations along leaf margin curling upward, could this be heat stress? I see no other “major” characteristic signs of nutrient deficiency...unless a more trained eye in the community can identify one? Only other thing I can note, perhaps I’m reading into it, but the lower leaf structure seems to point downward, not laterally like usual. They are not curling, chlorotic, necrotic, or otherwise, but certainly seem to be orienting differently.

Could the serrated edge of leaf margin point up slightly due to heat stress? My guess is that this is environmental, I moved light away a few inches just in case. Any other possible causes? Should I be concerned or take any other corrective actions?

This looks more like a Genetic thing.. As in it's nothing to be concerned about.. Iv'e seen this before on my Sativa Dominant Hybrids and thought "heat" as well. but with heat stress the leaves tend to curl in a lot more.. I will provide a few links to visual examples of what the curling looks like in cases where heat is an issue. https://www.ilovegrowingmarijuana.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/05-cannabis-leaves-curl-up.jpg http://www.thctalk.com/cannabis-forum/showthread.php?6917-Leaves-Curling-Up

Buds are swelling up quite nicely! In hindsite I think I should have defoliated a bit more, she’s beautiful but leaves are super dense. I am hesitant to do too much, and instead try to be mindful during LST to open things up to increase airflow through the plant without having to take too many leaves off...bearing in mind this is an auto. Biggest change as of late is the increase to bloom nutes. She really seems to like this! I am happy with the overall shape and height, she’s super compact and making some fantastic nugs...little light on the sparkle, but there’s still a few weeks to go! Looking forward to a strong finish...t-minus 3 weeks (ish).

I took a look at trichs and there’s a mix of cloudy and clear, and quite a few purple ones too! I fed her for the last time today and will start to flush over the next 2 weeks in prep for harvest. The buds fattened up a bit more over the past week, but I have to say that I was hoping for a little more plumpness. Never the less, she made some decent nugs for a tiny plant and I have my fingers crossed that things will get more dense during the flushing period. Please forgive the low quality trichrome shots, they did not come out very good while trying to hold my iPhone steady over a pocket microscope...kinda impossible and these were the best ones. I’m going to take a deep dive into some other diaries to try and gain some insight on how I can make bigger buds. I’m not looking to win the cannabis cup here, but I think I can do better...just need some tips to get there. Thanks for checking things out, can’t wait to check back in next week. Be safe everyone!

This girl is in the home stretch. Buds have not put on much more weight, I think she’s about as thick as she’s going to get for this run. I’ll continue with flushing when medium dries out, her water uptake has definitely slowed...and leaves are starting to yellow more and more. I did pull off a few old fan leaves from around the base of plant, wanted to get rid of any potential vector habitat and allow a little more air around her given medium is staying damp for longer stretches of time. Trichs are mostly cloudy, a few amber ones are popping up, those awesome purple ones are few and far between now. I’d say this little lady has days to a week max before she’s ready to harvest. This is my second most nervous point in growing...I think I’ve got it pretty dialed in, I mean it def does the trick, but again, I’m really trying to hone in my skills. I hear how “predictable” autos are, and they certainly are in some respects, BUT, there’s still some uncertainty and this is one of those times for me. Fingers crossed that next time I post it’ll be during harvest!

I put this plant in darkness for 24 hours...and chopped her down on 2/9...pistils and trichs were telling me it was time. Still the part of growing I’m most indecisive about, but each run I get a little more confident on when to harvest. Pics are from pre-trimming process, just removing fan leaves and the larger sugar leaves that don’t have any trichs. This will be the first time I dry trim, usually I do it all now, then dry, then cure. I want to try and get some kief this time around! Probably won’t be much, but I’m pretty stoked to try. The tiny little popcorns were kept this time too...I never felt it was worth the effort given how much they shrink, BUT, I kept for kief. These buds have been drying for the past 3 days and given that they are not monster nugs I think it’ll only be another week or so before I can start to cure. Best of luck all!

I think this run went surprisingly well. I am disappointed at the yield, but she is an auto with typical unpredictability setting the stage. She was a super small auto in general, BUT, super healthy and dense. Typically I don’t keep the popcorn nugs because they are more effort than they are worth, especially with a tiny auto, however, even the little bitty nugs on this girl were surprisingly dense...to be honest it was a little weird and very unexpected. I am super stoked about being a part of the grow diaries community...everyone has been great! I’ve learned a bunch and got some incredibly sound advice from some super stellar growers. I appreciate the support and since joining a couple months ago I’m about to start my 5th diary...I hope to pay it forward and help a struggling grower out like I was. Appreciate you guys, all the best! Fordsie -
