Seedlings 150 - 200 umol / DLI 10.80 - 14.4 moles per day Veg up to 9" 450 umol / DLI 32.40 moles per day Early bloom 500 umol / DLI 36.00 moles per day Mid bloom 650 umol / DLI 46.80 moles per day Late bloom 750 umol / DLI 54.00 moles per day Ripen 400 umol / DLI 28.80 moles per day *** Use extreme caution going 700 umol or higher @ 20 hrs/day this could cause leaf burn*** PAR is the amount of light in the 400 - 700 nm color spectrum that can actually be used by the plant. PAR does not measure the amount of UV and Infrared that plays a part in trichome formation and cell quality. DLI is the total amount of PAR the plant has received per day Our goal is to have a minimum DLI in the 38-40 mole range when in bloom. https://www.waveformlighting.com/horticulture/daily-light-integral-dli-calculator https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/blogs/news/horticulture-metrics-par-ppf-ppfd-dli Growing your plants with the optimum LVPD (Leaf Vapor Pressure Deficit) ranges helps them absorb Co2 to properly conduct photosynthesis and allows the root system to adequately utilize water and nutrients. Using average leaf temperature is the best way to calculate LVPD. Measure this temperature using an infrared thermometer. LED lights tend to have leaf temperatures lower than atmospheric temperatures in the grow room. Growers using HID, Fluorescent bulbs typically will have temperatures higher than room temperature. With HPS leaf temperature can be 8 - 10 F higher than room temperatures due to the amount of infrared emitted by the bulb. Recommended LVPD Seedlings/Early Veg 0.4 - 0.8 kPa Late Veg/Early Bloom 0.8 - 1.2 kPa Mid/Late Bloom 1.2 - 1.6 kPa *** Danger Zone*** Below 0.4 kPa / Over 1.6 kPa https://www.dimluxlighting.com/knowledge/vapor-pressure-deficit-vpd-calculator/ https://vpdcalculator.com/vpd-calculator https://www.blackdogled.com/lst Week 1 Update Soaked the seeds for 24 hours in a shot glass with purified water and a couple of drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide. They cracked open in 24hrs. Then transferred to a moist paper towel until a nice tail emerged between 48 and 72 hour later. I've had these seeds for a while in my refrigerator. I got 3 of them to pop nicely and one dud which opened but a tail never emerged after 8 days unfortunately. Using my standard bulk potting mixture with a pocket of seedling mixture to start them off. I added Mykos and Azos to both mixtures Then premoistened the mix before potting.

@DeaneR,Checkout the grower @@NobodysBuds I believe he's using Jr. Peters Professional with excellent results. GH Maxi Grow and Maxi Bloom would work also. Megacrop from Greenleaf nutrients a number of growers on GD have used this with nice results. I was also looking to try Maxicrop liquid seaweed it looks very affordable. The only thing is using this on food products to be eaten and products to be inhaled are 2 different things. The sources that the product is comprised of need to be free of or contain micrograms of toxic heavy metals etc. to be fit for human consumption. So finding a clean source of nutrients is important. You can also check out the Oregon Department of Agriculture( https://www.oregon.gov/oda/programs/Pesticides/Pages/default.aspx ) they test a lot of different brands of nutrients to see if they actually contain what's advertised or listed on the bottles. What they find is very intresting. Including "Microbes in a bottle" very few of the producers products actually contain any microbes. Recharge also contains fertilizer so did the fertilizer improve your grow or the minimal microbe colony help your grow. You can plug in a search for different registered products like fertilizers, pesticides. Here's one for Recharge ( http://oda.state.or.us/dbs/heavy_metal/detail.lasso?-op=eq&product_id=29686 )This is what the manufacturer claims is in the product. Unfortunately there is way too much hype with many cannabis specific products.

@Philindicus, I've also used Sthrive for pepper starts, but not weed, lol. I did a Canna coco run and didn't use the ryzo. I couldn' t justify the cost for a product that is so secretive about what it contains, and the marketing claims seem scetchy. Nutes are expensive, and I'm trying out a "Jacks 3-2-1" style of grow. Only pennies on the gallon. You might want to look at Recharge by Real Growers. It works well for me once a week, and contains, kelp extract, molasses, and beneficial microbes for the roots.

Plants look great, as usual! Question: what kind of light/dark schedule do you use? I'm on a 20/4 schedule, but finding that the plants start getting very droopy about an hour or so before lights out. They do spring back quickly when the lights come back on, but wondering if I shouldn't switch over to a 16/8. Thoughts? Thanks!

@pg2052, I've been running mine 20/4 for all my grows. I've seen some growers use 24/0, 18/6 with great results. The plants seem to like a bit of a rest especially with auto flower strains you want to avoid over stressing them. Too much stress can trigger them to herm out on you. Droopy leaves can be from over watering, underwatering or even using too high of a light intensity in combination of having a humidity that's too low causing the leaves to lose moisture too fast. Occasionally too much air movement cause case this also.

Superthrive for the win! I've been looking for Mephisto seeds for a while now, no where has them! Good luck - I'll be following along week-by-week!

@WinstonLeWulf, I hear you with Mephisto seeds. Even being on their mailing list they sell out within a few hours. They don't really announce a drop until last minute if you miss the email you've lost out. I think it's a bad marketing ploy to keep demand and prices high. I don't know what happened they used to be fairly prominent on GD in terms of following diaries and sponsoring contests. I have a few more strains of theirs but if they like to keep play games I'll grow another breeders strains rather than trying to chase theirs down.👍
