GlazedGrow 5: FB LSD Vipar-Mars Squadron

Week 1 - 01/01 to 01/08 2021 HUGE THANKS TO @MARSHYDROLED and @VIPARSPECTRALED! New surge protectors/heavy duty timers/the good cords. The LSD-25 itself looks similar to my first run with a very slow growth compared to the other 3 strains i have going now. It is from the same tester kit so I am expecting a small plant overall but the new lights will definitely give me more overall bud. I have all my seedlings under the P1500 from Vipar as my veg light for the first few weeks to a month. It's SO nice to not have a blurple anymore, the light is way better in my room and on the eyes. The new diodes had every single seedling grow more in 6 hours than it did in the first 7 days under the blurp LED, EVEN the LSD-25. It had no hight to it before the Vipar went in. While the other 3 are doing better, the LSD is still going to be one of my favourites. I can't wait to smell that earthy/varnish/citrus. I noticed a bit of spotting on the Dark Devil in my other diary so I added some Hydrogen Peroxide to the spray bottle and it cleared up. All four have been getting constant spritzing from the spray bottle to keep humidity up. Have no doubt the new lights will make the plant/overall yield. Thanks for stopping in! Day 14 - 01/14/2021 End of Week 2! This @ViparSpectraLED Pro Series P1500 is INSANE. Compared to the old blurple LED I had, this Quantum Board 'ish is where it's at. Never personally seen growth like this since it's the first time I'm growing with legit lighting 😍 The LSD, even though way behind in growth, definitely still "doubled" in size compared to the first week under the old light. This LSD looks exactly like my first LSD grow so i'm expecting a small plant with a slightly better yield of 7 Grams due to the new lights 😂 Once they get big enough and I transfer them all to their final 5gal fabric pots, i'll reset my tent and power/cords/surge protectors etc and get the @MarsHydroLED TSL2000 going. Basic care other than the new equipment, keeping them sprayed down multiple times a day and still adding a few sprays of Hydrogen Peroxide to the water just to make sure none of the spotting I say earlier comes back/settles in before the grow really gets going. Very excited to get the new set up going, the amount of growth in 4 days under this new light is blowing my mind 😱 Thanks for checking in! Week 3 - Jan 15 to 21 2021 New @ViparSpectraLED P1500 has given me the fastest veg growth with autos so far. Can't get over how the quantum board is compared to my old blurple 😓 LSD-25 by @FastBuds and the rest of the plants have been in the starters until the end of Week 3, already transferred and ready for a week four post once I get these out of the way 🙌 The LSD is still well behind due to the start but since the new light I would say it's growth is on par with the other 3 plants, just started from a smaller base 😎 Even though one of my other plants might already be flipping to flower by Day 21 (Red Poison Auto) I'm still excited to get a full grow out of the LSD-25 if it keeps vegging slower before flipping. Nothing but basic water feeds in the Destiny Dark Matter Organic Living Soil/ProMixHP mix providing the base nutes. 💪👽👍 On the other hand, the tent is right next to the turntable so the girls got a lot of solid vinyl listening this week: Road Apples - The Tragically Hip Up To Here - The Tragically Hip The Blue Album - Weezer Rumours - Fleetwood Mac Off The Wall - Michael Jackson Chromatica - Lady Gaga Welcome to the Pleasure Dome - Frankie Goes to Hollywood Destroyer - KISS Hemispheres - RUSH MTV Unplugged - Nirvana A Night At The Opera - Queen All keeping the ladies dancing and happy since im about to start bending and popping and "low-stress" 😅 training them starting week 4, The LSD won't get any yet and havent decided if it's worth getting the ScrOG out for this grow if one is already flipping. Will save it for my next grow I might go back to a photoperiod grow now I have the new lights/timers etc. -- Reset the power cords and set it all up on the new surge protectors and stronger timers. Got the General Electric Ultra Pro wide body power bar/surge for a little bit more piece of mind on my end. Also replaced all power cords with heavy duty Stanley brand extensions and outdoor graded power tool timers etc. The new @MarsHydroLED #TSL2000 is set up, been tested, and ready to take over the final weeks of the grow. Just need to set up some ducting over the top of it to my exhaust fan since it throws more heat than I have had to deal with yet. -- Thanks for checking in! Week 4 - 01/22 to 01/28 2021 Pictures from Days 25 + 26 TRANSPLANTED! Hopefully the stunted size means the flower timing is delayed as well, I've gone through a runt LSD before so if it flips before 7 inches I'll just pull it and start a different seed, I still have more Purple Lemonade beans so might pop one of those into the 5gal with no transplant and see if I can get a better base. More and more reasons to go back to a photoperiod grow after this for more control/really test out the new lights 🙌 Ended up more 50/50 ratio of Destiny Organic's Dark Matter Living Soil + ProMixHP since I had to make the Destiny last. Apparently they went out of business just after I decided it was my favourite/new soil :( Would rather stay away from Ocean Floor since I haven't had the best experiences with it (bugs/rust fungus etc) Feel free to drop some recommendations other than Fox Farms below 👍 The plant otherwise is healthy and growing well under the new set up. Still 3 and change tall but in context of the new light has tripled in size in a week and a half. If it looks like it's still vegging and starting to catch up once it settles into the new RootPouch 5gal woven then I'll keep it going. I raised the @ViparSpectraLED P1500 another eight inches after transplant and started basic LST. I really wanted to get these four under a ScrOG but if 3/4 are already flipping and the LSD is still runty I might have to wait it out again. I have the @MarsHydroLED TSL2000 set up and ready to go once the girls settle into their new pots. Have the new surge protector/heavy duty power cords/power tool grade timers as mentioned in Week 3. Day 32 - Week 5 - 02/01/2021 Big difference between the LSD-25 and the other three plants/diaries I have going right now. Still seems to be in veg or pre-flower so hopefully I can get a bit more overall veg base before the fruit comes in 🙌 Taking the basic LST approach as well, looks like the secondary nodes are coming along but I doubt it gets bigger than my first round of LSD auto, the new lights should give me some bigger buds though 🙏 I fed the LSD separately with a bit more nutes bottom fed to try and push some more growth due to the extra week I seem to have with it. Also didn't mix a big feed Also topped the soil with Diatomaceous Earth incase it was pests or something causing the Mosaic on my other @Fast_Buds. I did a top down rinse since the nutes were higher in the LSD feed but left a ring of D.Earth around base just for prevention. -- Thanks for checking in! Week 6 - 02/03 to 02/09 1.) Almost snapped main stem beginning of week, tied back together with soft wire and bounced back after 12 hours. 2.) The accidental HST seems to have given me a hard secondary branch stretch so the canopy will be nice and even (Even though the plant itself is so small, bigger base than i thought) Not many pictures take, the good camera is now charged and ready but work kept me unable to settle in for a full photoshoot. Planning on getting it done/update week 7 with proper pictures asap. Kept the D. Earth on during the first half of the week and continued my bottom-up feeds/waters to keep the top layer less inviting to any buggos who want to come and crash the party late in the game. Mixed a larger batch of food for all four since the LSD is now in flower mode, the bottom up feeds have been met with top down plain waterings by the end of week. First time i have not seen any clawing or tip burning from using the Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect M-G-B + Big Bud combo which usually happens. Week 7 - 02/10 to 2/16 2021 All phone pictures. Go off site to my instagram for HD/DSLR content: https://www.instagram.com/glazedgrow/ The LSD-25 has expectedly bounced back with the stress of accidentally snapping the main stock in week 6. The lower branches have all grown out longer/matched the main due to the accidental HST and gave a decent little canopy with multiple flower sites. Plant is small but has widened out/should give some solid quality buds. Could even end up being the best yield from the grow since it seems to be a week or two behind the other plants in terms of timing/HST delay. The new @MarsHydroLED TSL 2000 + the new bottom up feeding since i added drip trays to the tent should help here too, no typical nute burn from the Advanced Nutrients yet. Standard plain/molasses watering and plain water chaser between Advanced Nute's salt feeds. Going to start the flush a bit earlier than usual try to pull a nice fade for a final photoshoot. Week 8 - Day 51 - 02/17 to 2/23 2021 All phone pictures. Go off site to my instagram for HD/DSLR content: https://www.instagram.com/glazedgrow/ LSD-25 from @Fast_Buds managed to spread into a nice little canopy with 5-6 equal colas coming in. I'm sure the middle one will still end up a bit fatter/coloured than the rest but the accidental HST gave it some solid delay time to catch up, might end up the biggest overall plant in the grow. Gave them all another solid nute feed but this time top down, noticed a bit of possible mold smell coming from the drip trays so i wiped/cleaned them out with disinfectant and added a few sprays of Hydrogen Peroxide to the water rinse after the feed. Upped the Big Bud and Bloom nutrients a little bit and made sure to water until run off, especially on the LSD since it's real hungry/thirsty still being in a earlier flower timeline. Other than that, the new @MarsHydroLED TSL 2000 and @ViparSpectraLED PS1500 for veg definitely made a huge difference and I'm seeing bigger premature bud formations than past grows under the old blurple LED. While this is Day 51 at time of update and the middle of Week 8, I would say the HST stress/transplant delay actually has it somewhere around Week 6 in terms of genetic timing in the flower, will be a solid 2-3 weeks behind the other 3. Hopefully the WeDryer from the December DOTM comes in time since it would be super helpful only having one tent and no alternative drying areas in my space. Week 9 - Day 58 - 02/23 to 2/28 2021 All phone pictures. Very familiar earthy purples/gassy varnish/deep boozy citrus coming in. The accidental HST snap on the main stalk in first week of flower turned into a solid canopy of 7 Bud Sites with the main premature flower already thicker than the first time I grew this strain and cooked it under a humidity dome by accident 🙏 Gave all the plants mostly water feeds this week in order to avoid salt build up. Some staining on the bottom of the fabric pots from the bottom feeds so just making sure the soil is fine for the final major nute feeds before flushing in a week or so. Made some caps with homemade thc olive oil from a friend that sent me some "Intergalactic Cable" viewing materials as well 😎 Have to use them fast but been stable for a week and not just starting to come through the gel caps, will have to get something harder next time still a lot left in the bottle. It's 2nd closest to the window and i keep my tent open so when the light is off it's getting a solid 16-18 Celcius helping out the genetic purple pop a bit more in the leaves like the Red Poison next to it, look and smell very similar overall except more Sweet/Candy in the RP and Boozey/Earthy in LSD. Other than that, the new @MarsHydroLED TSL 2000 and @ViparSpectraLED PS1500 for veg definitely made a huge difference and the buds on the Dark Devil. Week 10 - Day 62 - 03/01 to 03/07/2021 All phone pictures. Go off site to my instagram for HD/DSLR content: https://www.instagram.com/glazedgrow/ ONE cola should give me the same yield I got on the first plant of LSD 25 I grew 😅 Can definitely tell it got time to grow into the new home compared to the other three that only flowered due to late transfer. The main stalk is larger and the overall plant is better than the rest with 7 colas compared to the classic untrained plants of the other 3 diaries i have going. I've always had very good results with stressing autoflowers so this just adds to the list of personal examples. Seems more citrus based than the last LSD but I'm sure the gas/varnish smell will come in next week as the buds start to really mature. It's a week or two behind the others in terms of timing. Going to look really good in the legit pictures I post elsewhere. 😉 After a week of water/molasses feeding I've given another nute feed of Big Bud, Bloom, and Molasses followed by water until run off. Took some of the smaller new fan leaves off and will end up lollypopping and giving the final bulk up defoliation adjustment by end of Week 10. Maybe one or two more nute feeds before the final flush which I'm going to start early. Week 11 - 03/08 to 03/14 2021 All phone pictures. One cola should be the same or more than my entire haul from the first grower mistake LSD-25 I grew Main bud starting to fatten and at 50/50 orange and white pistils with the secondary colas catching up quick. Way bigger than I thought given the bud structure I saw in the first one. Large single buds breaking off into the classic finger style purple calyx build. Solid heavy boozy orange and varnish/gas hints coming on now and started the flush feeds of plain water a big early just to keep it on track with the others. Should be fine looks like they all have some solid excess at the bottom of the pots so lots to use up in soil and leaves over next two weeks. New XS1000 coming in from @ViparSpectraLED after I finish flowering under the @MarsHydroLED with the #TSL2000.
