Week commencing 3rd January 2021 She was planted directly into a well-watered soil and germinated on the 3rd day in the ground. Not planning to water the soil until she's had a full week of growing. Looks very happy and I've only needed to spray the leaves with a light mist of water every day or two. Have struggled to get the humidity up above 40%, but a couple of damp tea towels on the floor next to the pot mean i can reach 65-70% at times. Got a small humidifier arriving in the post so hopefully that'll do the trick for the rest of the grow. Sharing the tent with two Critical Cure CBDs, both of which germinated the day before this one. Not a big tent but hoping to get this one to flower and harvested before the other two grow fully into the tent - we'll see. Currently debating how best to train her. As this is my first autoflower I'm leaning more towards some light LST, but we'll see what she looks like in another week or so.

When can I put her in a bigger pot? I realise now that I probably should have started her in the final, but hey-ho. Also, I started in a generic potting mix and read you should use something similar when transplanting. Planning to use BioBizz All-Mix. Think that'll work?

As you said planting straight into the final pot would have probably saved you the hassle of transplanting but now you learned for next time! One sure way to know your plant is ready to be transplanted is when the roots have started to grow out of the drain holes at the bottom of the pots. But if I needed to transplant, I'd transplant once the 2nd set of leaves starts growing which is just enough for the plant to grow a small but stable root system that can withstand the stress and to reduce the total amount of stress the plant suffers during the transition. The BioBizz "All-Mix" is a good option as potting soil because it has good aeration/drainage (perlite and coco mix) and has high nutrient absorbing capabilities (organic soil). Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing :)

Day 10 and she's going well. Nothing but a light mist with some water once or twice a day, that's all she wants at this stage. Judging by the rate she's growing and the helpful advice from the community, I think she'll be transplanted into her final pot before the end of the week. I gave her 1/4 pint of water on Day 11 just to dampen the soil in the pot before transplanting. Transplanted early morning on Day 13 with 250ml of distilled water. Seemed to go pretty smoothly and early signs are good. If anything she looks to have perked up, but we'll see how she's feeling at the end of the day. This girl really loves her new home! She looks stronger and and has grown fast in the 24 hours since being transplanted. She shares a tent with two Critical Cure CBDs which both wilted slightly after their moves, but not with this one.

She's got a lovely sweet smell to her now. Used a pipe cleaner on Day 16 to secure the base of the stem in preparation for LST. I think she needs another couple of days growth before I feel confident enough to start bending her down. The soil was very dry throughout and some of the leaves looked a little less perky than the previous day so Day 17 kicked off with a good watering with 500ml of RO water with 3m/l of root stimulant. By the end of the day she was looking strong so I started encouraging her top down with some LST with the yellow pipe cleaner attached just below the 3rd node. I won't go too hard on her to begin with, just enough to let a bit of light to the new growth. Tightened the pipe cleaner a bit on Day 18 to pull the top of the plant down. Kept training the top down, which she's responding to really well. Her soil has dried out in super-quick time so she's obviously thirsty - i gave her 330ml of RO water with root stimulant evenly distributed across the entire soil surface. Really happy with progress this week. We've got new growth developing well in the lower nodes and my LST is holding up well.

Kicked the week off with a bit of a watering - 500ml of RO water with 5ml/l root stimulant. For the past couple of days I've notices a slight clawing and yellowing to the tips of some of the leaves emerging from the top growth. I wasn't sure what to make of it at first but suspect it's nitrogen toxicity because she's a deeper green colour than the two photoperiod plants she shares the tent with. I understand the soil mix I'm using is pretty hot, so no additional nutrients until she flowers. Not too worried at this stage, it only seems to be affecting a couple of leaves at the top. Day 23 I just let her do her own thing, then watered again on Day 24 the same way I did previously. Added another pipe cleaner to the main stem to bring the main growing tip down - it's now just a touch higher than the other branches that are now appearing from the nodes. The ends of new growth leaves continue to turn a bright yellow colour. Not sure quite what's up with her. Could be light stress because it hits the higher leaves worst. Adjusted the height to 24 inches on Day 26 and gave her a good watering with 1ltre of straight-up RO water. Day 26 UPDATE. My soil had turned hydrophobic! Rookie error. Turns out I'd let the soil dry out too much and it wasn't holding much at all. Whenever I watered it there was always a good amount of runoff, which I mistakenly assumed meant I'd watered enough. No, it was just running down a couple of channels in the soil and pissing straight out the bottom. No matter how much I tried to water the top of the soil it kept refusing to take on water so I resorted to slightly more drastic action - I gave them a bath. The bath was filled so the bottom half of the fabric pot was half covered, then left her there for 15 minutes to wick water up. Seemed to do the trick and now all the soil is wet through. I let her stand for a bit to drain any excess water out and took a reading of the runoff. pH was 6.6 and TDS 1000ppm, although the TDS is a bit higher than I'd like. She's back in the tent now and hopefully this will help with future watering even if it doesn't solve the problem causing the leaves to yellow, but I'm pretty sure most of that is light burn. Back on track for the end of the week. Happier the soil is now taking in water, but suspect she's had enough water in the past few days to last her half way into next week - slightly overwatered if anything but I reckon she'll pick up soon. Bit of light defoliation down at the base of the plant on Day 28 to remove a couple of leaves. Other than that she seems OK for now. Onto flowering...

Think my plant's suffering from nitrogen toxicity because some of the leaves are clawing and have yellow tips. Must be the hot soil because I haven't fed her with any nutrients. Should I leave a few days and see what happens or is it worth flushing the soil?

I would wait and see what happens.. Flushing soil is not simple as Just dumping water until a bunch comes out of the bottom. There is a whole living, breathing environment inside your soil and root zone. And things are alive and learning to thrive on the conditions they are growing in. You strip the soil and your plant will be much worse for it. Because the balance she is working so hard to achieve will be thrown off.

Cruising through the week nicely now that my issues with the soil and watering are behind us. She's starting to stretch and from Day 31 seems to be putting on an inch a a day. Started noticing the tips of many of the upper leaves are very yellow. I thought it was light stress so raised it to just over 24 inches, but 2 days later and new growth is still showing up with yellowed tips. My LEDs are pretty week and in the brightest part of the tent the canopy top is reading just 10,000 lux - have now lowered the light down to 18 inches. Think the soil's still pretty hot but the burn on the leaf tips isn't too extreme, in fact I think she wears it well. Gave her a drink and feed on Day 33 - just 500ml of RO water with some root stimulant and a drop of grow. Switched the nutrients on Day 35 to root enzyme and bloom and watered with 1 litre because she's getting thristy quicker now. Interestingly, the leaves droop after about 13 hours of 'daylight' each day, which is why some of the photos appear this way - they're actually really happy looking. They share the tent with a couple of photoperiods that I'll be flipping to flower next week, so they'll be getting the light cycle they're asking for soon enough.

Things have been progressing well in Week 6. She's continuing to stretch and there's not a lot left me to do now but water and wait. I gave her 1 litre of RO water with enzymes to help root recovery on Day 38 - she's still showing signs of tip burn on some of the newer leaf growth and suspect there are still plenty of nutrients in the soil, so won't give any more of them until later in the week. Day 41 and she got another good 1 litre watering, this time with bloom nutrients and a touch of Magne-Cal+.

By the look of the leaves there's still plenty of nutrients in the soil. I'll be feeding with plain RO water with enzymes only this week. She got 1 litre of this on Day 43, then 1 litre without enzymes on Day 46.

She pretty much finished her stretch this week and started concentrating on building buds. Not a lot to report on really. I'm trying to ease up on the nutrients - by the looks of the leaf tips there's plenty still in the soil. The watering regime was as follows: Day 50 - 1 litre RO water with nutrients Day 54 - 1 litre plain RO water Day 56 - 1 litre plain RO water
