She's got a lovely sweet smell to her now. Used a pipe cleaner on Day 16 to secure the base of the stem in preparation for LST. I think she needs another couple of days growth before I feel confident enough to start bending her down. The soil was very dry throughout and some of the leaves looked a little less perky than the previous day so Day 17 kicked off with a good watering with 500ml of RO water with 3m/l of root stimulant. By the end of the day she was looking strong so I started encouraging her top down with some LST with the yellow pipe cleaner attached just below the 3rd node. I won't go too hard on her to begin with, just enough to let a bit of light to the new growth. Tightened the pipe cleaner a bit on Day 18 to pull the top of the plant down. Kept training the top down, which she's responding to really well. Her soil has dried out in super-quick time so she's obviously thirsty - i gave her 330ml of RO water with root stimulant evenly distributed across the entire soil surface. Really happy with progress this week. We've got new growth developing well in the lower nodes and my LST is holding up well.

Grow Questions

When can I put her in a bigger pot? I realise now that I probably should have started her in the final, but hey-ho. Also, I started in a generic potting mix and read you should use something similar when transplanting. Planning to use BioBizz All-Mix. Think that'll work?

As you said planting straight into the final pot would have probably saved you the hassle of transplanting but now you learned for next time! One sure way to know your plant is ready to be transplanted is when the roots have started to grow out of the drain holes at the bottom of the pots. But if I needed to transplant, I'd transplant once the 2nd set of leaves starts growing which is just enough for the plant to grow a small but stable root system that can withstand the stress and to reduce the total amount of stress the plant suffers during the transition. The BioBizz "All-Mix" is a good option as potting soil because it has good aeration/drainage (perlite and coco mix) and has high nutrient absorbing capabilities (organic soil). Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing :)

Think my plant's suffering from nitrogen toxicity because some of the leaves are clawing and have yellow tips. Must be the hot soil because I haven't fed her with any nutrients. Should I leave a few days and see what happens or is it worth flushing the soil?

I would wait and see what happens.. Flushing soil is not simple as Just dumping water until a bunch comes out of the bottom. There is a whole living, breathing environment inside your soil and root zone. And things are alive and learning to thrive on the conditions they are growing in. You strip the soil and your plant will be much worse for it. Because the balance she is working so hard to achieve will be thrown off.
