Greetings Grow Diaries!
I hope you've all been well. Happy New Year!! This past year was a bit of a dumpster fire, with some silver linings, but I'm happy to be back and am looking forward to a much better year ahead.
To that end, I finally setup my second tent (2x4) and decided to pop a couple of beans, plus a clone from my last SC run, to really try and fill out the space. Was also gifted a 2nd TS1000 by my Love so I'm pretty excited for this run.
Aiming to break the 1g/w barrier with a more robust SCRoG, LST, SuperCropping, and by finally introducing some CO2 into the grow space by way of Brewers Yeast and Sugar! Won't be getting the ideal 1200-1500ppm, but aiming for half that with this DIY method and I'll be happy.
*GERMINATION
- give the beans a good shake down in a small match box lined with sand paper. old farmer's trick to help lightly break the shell surface to allow better penetration. hasn't failed me!
- toss beans in a bit of MycoGrow powder :)
- soak beans in small glass of distilled water for 12-14 hours
- dump contents onto double-folded paper towel on a side plate
- fold paper towel once over, allow excess water to drain off into sink
- lightly cover with saran wrap and keep somewhere dark (preferably warm)
- check daily and transfer to starter medium once taproot is 1/2" to 1" long
This method got my beans popped and in a rooter well within 2.5 days :) I have nothing to compare this to other than past failed attempts.
Wishing you all the best this coming year! Good Health, True Happiness, & Quality Harvests!
'til next time, Stay Tuned & Stay Blessed! 🙏👽
Greetings Grow Diaries!
As always, I'm playing catch up with my journals, so your patience is greatly appreciated :) *SPOILER* I'm very happy with how things are turning out; definitely need to work on my canopy management and timing transplants better. Can't wait to show y'all!
- Moved (2) seedlings over to 16oz Dixie Cups with ProMix HP and EWC. Also sprinkled a bit of MycoGrow directly onto the exposed roots before potting.
- They've joined a cutting from my last Cough that I've managed to keep alive somehow lol
- Only filtered water and diluted compost tea until I transplant to 1gal pots.
- Just (1) light in use for now, set at 25% power.

- BubbleSnake finally arrived! Have been searching months for this thing and I finally found a Canadian distributor. Very happy with this purchase. Say goodbye to Airstones!
- 24hr Aerated Compost Tea with EWC, Kelp, Alfalfa, MycoGrow, Molassas, and a bit of HydroGuard from my DWC days :)
- Seedlings are chugging along nicely. Transplanted to 1gals at the end of the week. ProMix HP + EWC + 70/30 blend of Gaia Green All Purpose & Power Bloom.
- Noticing a deficiency or possible lockout with one (top right) after transplanting.
- Looks like I have a case of spidermites on the clone :( Going to treat with Neem Oil and Neem Meal. Wish me luck! Hope they don't spread to the seedlings.

- Managed to eradicate the mites with Neem Oil sprays, working Neem Meal into the soil, as well as a diluted Neem Meal Tea 🙌 Moved that clone right over to a 5gal that will likely be it's forever home.
- I know I wanted to SCRoG this run, but was undecided as to whether I should do Main-Lining or just keep topping. Since it's this late in veg, I figured to just topping it to maintain an even canopy.
- Any guesses as to what deficiency I'm having?

- I labelled the photos and plants accordingly. Hope this helps serve as a reference point.
- Still no sign of mites on SC1. Hurray for Neem!
- I've always wanted to try this training technique to break the apical dominance, and now that SC1 is back on track and producing healthy new growth, I gave it a go. Had to literally crush the stem with a set of pliers 😅 *I have recovery pics to show later on!
- Really should have ran it by the community here, but I'm stumped as to what the deficiency on SC2 could be.

Greetings Grow Diaries!
- The deficiency on SC2 is more prominent than ever :(
- Added a 2nd TS-1000W to maximize my footprint :)
- Liking the growth on SC1. Thought I went a bit overboard with the crushing of stem with my pliers but she's fully recovered!
- Should have transplanted a few days to a week sooner. Almost time to flip.

- Moved the remaining (2) Coughs to their forever 5gal homes. Promix HP + EWC + 30/70 Gaia Green All Purpose & Power Bloom. I was worried about the plants getting "too big" but next run I'll be going 7gals, maaybe 10 :)
- Fresh tops! As stated in the pic, I gotta work on getting to them sooner while they're much smaller.
- Started defoliating. Light lollipopping.
- Really wanna flip to bloom next week.
- Damn deficiency :(

Greetings Grow Diaries!
- Wanted to get in a nice defoliation before I flipped to bloom.
- Should have planned this one better lol went a little too top heavy.
- SC3 - If I was a barber I'd either offer to shave it off or run it out the backdoor lol
