25 days from sprout. They're now 5 inches in height and really short but bushy and branchy. Added some used coffee grounds and worm castings to the top for nutrition.
The plants are looking a bit yellow so I added 2 tablespoons per plant of malted barley ground with a coffee grinder. Also added 2 tablespoons of brewer's yeast per plant mixed with water to help with flowering. Any recommendations to help with the yellowing?
The leaves are really yellow, kinda brown and dry. Tested the PH of the water and it's between 6-7. Anyone know why the leaves are so yellow? The LED light is at the recommended height of 18 inches from the soil.
The plants are starting to look green again. I adjusted my fan so it's no longer blowing directly on my plants from the left side. Also increased the height of my lights to 24 inches above soil. Added 1 tbspn of ground malted barley for topdressing, 1 tbspn of brewer's yeast mixed in some water for fertilizer, and mixed 1.5 tspn of unsulfured organic black strap molasses to help boost bud size. Things are getting back on track now.
The nutrients listed here are per plant.
The plants are really bouncing back since I moved the fan to blow on the led light instead of directly on the plants. For nutritions I've increased the black strap molasses to 1 tbspn mixed in 2 litres of warm water. The buds have increased in size dramatically after starting to use the mollasses. Also kept the standard 1 tbpn per plant of ground malted barley for top dressing. Lastly mixed 1 tbspn of brewer's yeast per plant into some water for some additional nutrients.
The buds are growing really large. Increased the blackstrap molasses to 2 tbspn mixed in 2 litres of warm water and continued with the standard 1 tbspn of ground malted barley per plant. Also added 1 tbspn of brewers yeast mixed in warm water per plant. Noticing some fungas gnats (small black flies) but this is probably due to me not having an exhaust fan. Next grow I'll get an exhaust fan. Probably a few weeks left befoe harvest.
Also, I've increased the watering to twice a week. For each watering I include black strap molasses. For the mid-week watering I included 1 tbspn and 1 tspn mixed into 2 liters of water. The buds are growing massive thanks to the mollases.
Same nutrient regiment but it's looking like the left plant is ready to harvest based on the dark brown hairs. The right plant isn't ready yet and is sprouting new flowers. Not sure where to dry one plant while the one on the right continues to flower.
😎. I like your non-commercial nutrients approach. Did you use coffee or coffee grounds? Unsulphured blackstrap molasses also seems to work great. Good luck.
@Canadianeh416, yes I suppose it could attract bugs indoor but I was thinking a dilute solution wouldn’t cause much trouble. Indoor growing is a lot different than the outdoor I do, so maybe someone else would know if it’s a problem indoors. A lot of commercial nutes are mostly just molasses though so I doubt it’s a big deal.
Kinda looking like my plants.. i was struggling with ph issues. Just a suggestion but next time you water try to check the ph of whats coming out. Other then ph id have to say she is nutrient deficient.
