Alpaca Barney's farm was kind enough to send me seeds if I did a diary, I was happy to oblige.
I'll be running their wedding cake and the new watermelon Zkittles photoperiods.
I have a completely new setup, let's see how my new quantum board performs in flower.
Germination has started, starting 2 wedding cakes and 2 of the w. zkittles
Alpaca left side is the zkittles , right side is wedding cake.
back right wedding cake seems to be the happiest. still misting sometimes, and lsting towards the middle of the tent.
will switch to quantum board in 2 weeks or so

Alpaca Major differences between the 2 strains already. The watermelons are very compact whereas the cakes are going very wide, especially in the back. Switched to my new quantum board, and temps are much better now. went from 17-20 to 23-26
Alpaca alright week so far. I predict it'll be another month or so before I start flowering them. Im going for a full tent.
the wedding cakes stubbiness makes them hard to lst but I'll keep trying

Alpaca The zkittles have a very nice structure, easy to work with. the wedding cakes are looking fine but are a lot stubbier and harder to train

Alpaca Snapped a main stem and taped it, stem wasnt flexible enough for what I tried to do on the back wedding cake. Switch to flower this week to prevent future overcrowding

Alpaca We are finally in flower!
More pictures post watering coming up when the lights come on tonight. Time to see what these genetics can do
BTW topleft and bottomright are the w. zkittles now, the other 2 the wedding cakes, Dont mind the small one in the middle shes for another project and being vegged.
Tried to LST the back right plant and managed to snap her stem for the second time lol. She's kinda messed up and that's my fault, recovering though.
The zkittles have clearly been more dominant I. the fight for space and the tent is full. I'm ready for some flowers

Alpaca Will probably be a slow week as they transition into full flower
tent is starting to look good. to clarify again the taller ones are w. zkittles and the other 2 are wedding cakes
So so the kind folks at Spiderfarmer decided to send me their SF-2000 light to use and review! Bringing my flower power up to a perfect 600 watts total. Big thanks, really looking forward to testing this unit, already like being able to dim it.

Alpaca Summon the flowers /[^^]/
The wedding cake already had a strong smell. Very sweet, almost in an energy drink way, but less artificial.
the w. zkittles are huge, my Trainwreck run has been outsized. The Wedding cakes are already coated in trichs but more compact and indica esque in structure , which makes sense with their genes
Big thanks to Spiderfarmer for sending me one of their SF-2000 units to use and review. The extra flower power is appreciated!

Alpaca looks like there is no more stretch coming, which I still would have liked to see a bit on the left wedding cake.
They all look very happy regardless, but the large zkittle is looking a little light green so she got some extra terra grow.
Big thanks Spiderfarmer for sending me this very nice SF-2000 to use and Barney's Farm for providing these awesome genetics. The smell is amazingly sweet
Bottom right cake had 2 nanners/bananas on it. I'm not very experienced with them. Would it be smarter to snip the bud that had them or cut them as they come up? Really dont want a seedy tent
Yep definitely unusual growth from that girl.
You essentially have 2 options,
Pull the whole plant - not my first choice...
Or
Watch her very closely and use this as an experiment to grow and fine tune your environment, something stressed her out to make her hermy.. figure out what that was and stop that maybe it wont hermy again..
Whatever you chose good luck!
Alpaca A bit late on the diary this week, but here goes. They were all kinda underfed, should have seen that coming, bumped up feeding threefold to fix them up. The deficiencies were Nitrogen and phosphorus, this is exactly why I keep a thick foliage layer though.
The wedding cakes are maturing faster than the zkittles but they all look and smell really nice. The cakes smell is really intensely sweet, you definitely want a carbon filter for these. The zkittles have a very distinct fruity and slightly sour smell, a lot like tangerine, very unique
There seems to be no pollination around where the nanners were on the right wedding cake, so the pollen must have been sterile. Great news and a nice relief
Thanks to Spiderfarmer for sponsoring me with an SF-2000 light!

Alpaca Flowering is going pretty fast. The back right zkittle is bugging me a bit because there is barely any real bud on her yet, but time will tell.

Alpaca Well this week has been going great, pots of swelling, intense smells. The back left zkittle is going to be a great yielder along with the left wedding cake. I'll probably be chopping in about 9 days, so only one more watering.
Big thanks to Spiderfarmer for sending me an SF-2000 unit! The wedding cakes have really enjoyed it and it kept up with my 400w board really well

Alpaca Ladies and gentleman, final week. The plants will be coming down in a few days. The zkittles have both been given a tiny bit of water to finish up.
I'm going to be in trim jail for a while
Excited to see how this one goes especially the watermelon, I am eagerly awaiting a cut off a friend in about 4 weeks so interested how yours turns outπ
