Germinated using 24 hrs in shot glass then 3 days in paper towel then tranfered into soil once taproot was a half inch. The seeds sprouted from the soil on Christmas so thats what I'm calling day 1
Left town for 10 days after they sprouted so wasn't sure if the start would be successful or if my automated watering system would work. So far I would say largely off to a good start! One of the Tropicana cookies x animal cookies seedlings didn't get enough water to start out and almost died while I was away but I have now given it water and saved its life so it is just a couple weeks behind the other plants. So far the plants seem off to a faster start than I am used to which I am convinced is due to a higher temperature than my previous grows. I added in a heater which keeps temps at about 80 during daytime and 70 during nightime. Humidity is a little low but the plants don't seem to mind. Starting a 3x per week aloe vera foliar feeding today, I'll update with the results of that treatment.
Plants are looking good overall. They are about to embark on a 10 hr car ride tomorrow so we'll see how they're doing after that haha. I think they will be happy in their new home soon enough.
Things are looking pretty good. I replaced the seedling that wasn't doing so well with a MAC #3 clone from the dispo so the space should fill up nicely.
Stripped down the lowers and finally added worms to the soil and growth has been decent, overall I'm happy :) some of the leaves have been turning yellow and getting spots and I think its from the aloe vera foliar spray cuz it always acts up the days I spray so Im going to cut down to 1x per week. I think something to do with the spray then the heat and light 30 min later?? LMK if you have any ideas
The girls aren't looking too happy, not quite sure why, maybe the combination of temps, humidity and lowering the lights? The Blumat irrigation system also stopped working, I think the dispensers for each sensor must have warped because it works fine before I connect to the distributers. Anyways, BluSoak tape on the way so that should be the end of that issue. I flipped to flower tonight so tomorrow will be day 1 :)
Plants look happy and healthy!! so far found one male out of the 4 Slurricane x Sour Banana Sherbert, still unclear on the other 3. Added in some BluSoak tape the replace the distibution drippers that crapped out and so far it has been working well.
The reason the plants look slightly behind schedule is because they are haha. we lost power for 48 hours and so the plants had no light and had 50 degree temps and 90% humidity but for all that they dont seem too upset
This week was good. I hit defoliation a little harder than normal so we'll se how they handle. Watering systems crapping out again so on a hand water schedule. bud sets are finally starting to form.
Looks like were past the halfway point, leaves are just beginning to fade and buds are just starting to plump up. Should be smooth sailing from here on out, will drop the temps next week.
Day 42 and its starting to get fun in here. I turned off the heat so temps dropped 7-10 degrees and it really brought out some color but now I have to battle humidity haha. Looking like harvest will be in about 2 weeks. I'm finally starting to get some smells in here as well.
Things are looking pretty in here. Got out the camera for some real shots and I'll let the photos do the rest of the talking. Starting to bulk up a little and really starting to get some smells.
Day 56, the plants are finishing up! I'm going to try to take them one more week but they are fading out and leaves are falling off by the day se we'll see if they can make it that long. Definitely the best looking flower Ive ever grown!
The plants looked fairly ripe so I decided to harvest! Everything looks and smells amazing, lots of sweet mango like terps and a couple almost smell like vinegar. Not the biggest or most stacked buds but most of the plants are super dense and frosty! First smoke will likely be 4/20!!
This was the most vigerous plant of the bunch despite its funky looking growth in veg. structure was pretty perfect, I would love to see what this plant would look like fully grown out. The stretch was medium, definitely put on some growth in the first couple weeks of flower but not insane. As I said before the buds are a little small but still good looking/frosty and potent to can't really complain
This plant didn't grow big as I got the clone shortly before flower and it didn't adjust great to it's new environment. The buds also stopped growing midway through flower I think because of it's under developed root system. I bet it it was really grown out though this strain would be great.
All three phenos grew pretty differently with 1 being the most vigerous with plentiful fluffy but frosty buds and the best smoke overall, 2 being airy and not the best smoke, and 3 being dense and frosty with a smoke almost as good as the first pheno however with slow and small growth. The potency caught me by surprise on Phenos 1 and 3, if you smoke too much it really hits hard.
