Im growing in a super soil called "grow dirt", and just watering with filtered water. Ive put my seeds into a seed soak with some "green supreme"(another high powered organics product) for 18 hours and then planted into seedling pots using Grow Dirt super starter. The plan is to transplant to 3 gallon fabric pots for vege, then to 7 gallon fabric pots about a week or so before flipping the lights to flower. These are regular seeds, so I will need to sex the plants when they start to show signs of flowering, and separate the males. The seed in the middle was the first one to break the soil. I'm super impressed at how fast these seeds germinated. It was an 18 hour seed soak, and 3 days in soil, and we have lift off. All five of my babies have popped through the soil by day 5 in soil, so got to be happy about that. I've got my cheapy blurple 100w LED on them at the moment, in my bedroom wardrobe(still waiting to harvest what's in my tent). It has been sitting about 50cm above them, but I've raised them to be at 40cm. I did have a bit of a fuck up with the timer on the lights last night, and these little ones ended up getting an extra 3 hours of light(so 21/3, instead of 18/6). 😐 hoping that hasn't caused them too much stress, but they're looking pretty happy. I had to go away for a couple of days, and leave my seedlings to fend for themselves. I was a little concerned about them drying out and dying, so gave them a decent water, and put the humidity dome on with the two holes on top half open. They were mostly fine, and all still had a bit moister in the soil. I think one of the plants actually suffered from a little over watering. The one with the leaves angling down, and a few brown/yellow spots on the leaves. Being a rookie grower, this is what I think it is, but not completely confident on my diagnosis. The rest of the plants look super happy. The one in the middle seems to be growing the fastest, it will be interesting to see if this plant ends up having more vigor than the rest. I have been giving them a 3-5 hours a day of a bit of light airflow from an old inline fan. Its a very light breeze just to incourge the plant to have better anchoridge. Its not the most ideal grow space in my wardrobe, but it will have to do until I can free up the tent.

Day 13 Conditions have been pretty stable. Ive figure that about 50ml of water every 2-3 days has kept them fairly happy. Ive given them a very light folier spray last night of some green supreme, and kept the fan on during the light cycle, and off during the dark. The little one on the right seem to be looking a lot better after its overwatering trauma, and the one in the middle is still leading the charge in growth. I'm thinking I'll pot up to my 3 gallon fabric pots in a few days. I'll check in again then, and let you all know how I go. DAY 16 The up potting didn't go as smoothly as I'd hoped, but I think everyone is okay. The first little one I went to transplant, came out nice and clean, the soil well molded to the shape of the pot. I was sprinkling some mycorrhizal Fungi & Rhizobacteria inoculant on the roots coming out the bottom, and the hole brick just explode in my hand. I found the plant on the ground, picked it up, and planted it, in its new home. Its looking fine so far, but I expect this one will suffer from transplant shock. I then asked the Mrs to help sprinking the roots for all the others. Everyone else's transplant went well and they seem happy in their new homes. Went up to 3 gallon fabric pots, in "gorilla grow dirt", which is a super soil by high powered organics. Gave them a nice layer of Alfa Mulch on top, and gently watered them in. I dont think they'll need another water for about 5-7 days, but I will keep an eye on them. Fingers crossed they take well to their new homes. 🤞

Currently my lights are on a 18/6 schedule, from 6am, until 12am. I want to change their light cycle to start at 4pm and turn off at 10am, so the heat of the light balances the chill of the night. Whats the best way to do this, without triggering flowering, or stressing them.

What I would probably do is turn the lights on for 24hrs for a few days . Then switch the lights to the 4 to 10 cycle . That's just what I would do I'm sure others with more experience will know better. I don't think you will trigger flowering as they require at least 12hrs of darkness. Except autos of course.

Day 21 Haven't watered them in 3 days, and I think I'll wait another day to give them some more. The pots still feel like they have water in them. Water ph is about 6.5. Everyone seems relatively happy, and will be moving to the tent in the garage in a couple of days. Just spending today cleaning and sterilising the tent. I will be changing their light schedual to have the lights on during the night to compensate for the drop in temperature. Currently they're 18hr on a 6am on/ 12am off. I will be changing them to 6pm on/ 12 noon off. So I will be leaving the lights on over night until 12 noon the next day. Hopefully 30 hours of straight light doesn't do them any harm. Day 23 Moved them into the tent in the garage, under the mars hydro tsw 2000. Gave them a spray of pure crop 1, and their lights will go off in a couple of hours for a well earned rest. It would have been 30 hours of straight light, and into a new, slightly less stable environment. Ill give them their first drink in 5 days at 6pm when lights come back on. Let's see how they settle in. Peace out growmies,

Hey team So we've had a bit of a heat this week for about 4 days. Just as they move into the tent, that get absolutely smashed by 38°C/100°F. I had the aircon on in the garage, which is where the tent is, but that could only bring the temp down to 32°C/90°F while the lights were on. It wasn't just hot either, it was super dry! The humidifier was set to 80RH to keep the VPD down, and they were looking okay, but then my oscillator fan died! I went to my local hydro shop, and they were sold out, so ended up getting a floor fan that can angel up. Its a fair bit more powerful than the last fan I had, but pointing at a corner of my 3x3 tent, I think it has better circulation than the oscillator. They do look like they suffered a bit over those 4 days, but all things considered, they're doing well. I gave them another water last night, and a little spray of some dr zymes. It was a tough week for these little ones, with the heat wave, and some human error, growth has been sma little slow. I bought an IR thermometer so I could get proper readings for figuring out VPD. I found my leaf surface temperature was consistently higher than my ambiant room temperature. After a bit of research into what was causing this, I turned my lights down to 65% and the problem was sorted. I didn't realise I'd been overdoing it on the lights. Since making this change, there's been a noticeable increase in growth rate, and they're looking a lot better than they were. Seeing them happy makes me so happy. I swear it's as good as having pet, watching, and caring for these plants.

Had to go away for 6 days for work, and was a bit worried about my little ones. I had my partner to send me photos and give them a small drink. Got back yesterday and everyone's doing great. Topped them all, and gave them a bit of ph 6.4 water with some great white shark microbes. Its nice to see the difference in growth coming back home to them after almost a week. No.5 is getting pretty lanky, ive got my suspicions that ones a male. I definitely don't think I'll be ready to switch to flower on the set date, but everyone's looking happy, and I'll get there in due time. Happy growing, to you all

Hey team Its been a pretty cruizy week, checking in on the garden daily, and these little ones have been thirsty. I think perhaps they were a bit underwatered the week before. I'm now using moister meters in the pots to help me get better grip on watering frequency and amounts, and finding very helpful. Also been alternating IPM foiler sprays (Dr Zymes, Pure crop 1) and giving them a folier feed of green supreme plant tonic, which is mostly aloe and kelp. They look like they've recovered from the topping last week, and are starting to grow out a bit more than straight up. No 5 is noticeably lankier than the rest of them, and looks a bit different. Is this more likely to be a male or genetic variation?? We will see! Need to get them into their final home of 7 gallon pots at least a week before flipping the lights, but I don't think they're ready for the transplant yet. Learning a great deal in this grow, and I feel it's already going much better than my previous/first grow. Loving this hobby, and appreciate you all so much. Peace

Growth has taken taken off this past week, and Its time to up pot! The transplant went well, and my babies are in their new, and final home, a 7 gallon fabric pot, filled with Grow Dirt super soil!!! Looking good, and not really showing much sign of transplant shock. I did dust some microbe powder(dark matter, high powered organics) on the roots during the transplant. Lost a fair bit of soil in the process, and then watered them in thoroughly. 24 hours later, and they're looking happier than ever. Give a week or so with a bit of LST, and I'll fill to flower. Woooo!!

They came back from the LST well, and were all pointing up again within 24 hours. I did run into a bit of powdery mildew, when I changed up the intake. I just have a passive intake, using the exhaust fan to create enough negative pressure to draw in fresh air through the vent opened at the bottom of the tent. Worried about light leaks, I set up some ducting with a sheet of course fabric at the end, but I think the fabric may have been carrying the mildew spores. I sorted it out quickly with some pure crop 1, but I need to keep on top of it, giving it a spray at least once a day at the start of the dark cycle. Seems to almost be all gone after 48 hours. I was thinking I would flip to flower, but I want to be confident this is under control before I do that. Will be triggering the flower cycle as soon as I think its safe, hopefully in the next couple of days or so. Plants were looking a little bit hungry this week too, so I gave the a wee bit of marine cal mag. Soon after they were looking better than ever.

Everyone has been pretty good this week. I had them a little too close to the light for a couple of days, but have sorted that out. Gave them some of my LABs, and noticed that they seemed to like it, and have just been using the moister meters to help with when to water. They've been thirsty this week. Theyre just starting to show their sex, and I think I've got 2 males and 3 females. Not too bad considering the odds. Not what I was expecting either. I did think the tall lanky one, no.5, was going to be a boy, but I think I'm just staring to see female preflowers om it. Going to need to train that girl down to be the same hight as the rest. It seems like a completely different cultivar by the way its growing and how its been, but it is suppose to be the same as the rest. 🤔 Its a shame, but one of my favourites turned out to be a male. Gonna have to chuck em in the compost.

Gonna have to chuck em in the compost. So did the chop on the 2 males i ended up with, out of the 5 seeds i planted. We juiced up some of the leaves and through the rest in the compost. The girls have been a bit hungry this week, so I've given them a nice root drench of green supreme, and re-inoculated the soil with great white shark. Had to do a bit extra training on number 5, because it was so tall and lanky. Did my best to get it back down to the same level as the other 2. I have run into a bit of over watering as of last night. The moister meter says they're on the dryer end of things, but the plant is looking a bit droopy to me. I have been giving them about 500-600ml each for the last few days, going off the moister meter. But the plant is telling me to back off on the water and let it dry out. So I won't water for a few days and see how they go

Growth has been pretty good this week, and the girls are looking great. I did move one of them outside, no. 5 the lanky one, for a couple of reasons. First of all I, thought it was turning hermaphrodite. It looked like it was starting to pop male pollen sacks, but given time I would learn I had been mistaken. Famle pistols ended up cracking out. It was also growing out of control, and stretching way more than the other 2 girls. And I think ive still got enough warm days left in the season to finish her outdoors, and thought I'd put her in a nice sunny place as a bit of a comparison to the indoor grow.

Not too much to report this week. The 2 plants left in the tent seem reasonably happy. The environment has been really stable, tempture staying between 23°C-26°C(73°F'78°F), and RH at 45-50. Ive noticed them getting a bit hungry this week, so have given them a bit of green supreme, and some mammoth P. Will re-inoculate again this week with some great white shark. The plant i moved outside, ive just let go a bit, and let nature take its course. It got a fair bit of rain this week, and the nights are starting to get pretty cold. I'm not confident it's going to make it to the end of the cycle before the frost sets in. Also getting about 6 hours a day at dew point, which is really not ideal for mold issues. I dont want to move it back inside in case of introducing pests from the outside world, so ill just let it go and see what happens Enjoying this grow a lot, and learning more and more every day.

The girls are starting to to get pretty hungry, especially the no4. (The one on the right with all the tops). Seems, like she's needing a bit of everything, but i think its mostly phosphorus and potassium hungry at this point of its life. I re-inoculated with great white, and some anti matter, and that seemed to help a bit, but the plants were calling for quick fix so for the first time in a while, I reached for the bottle. So ive got some organic liquid nutes from an older run, its a bloom booster that I think is mostly bat poop, and a straight potassium(organically chelated) from the bio diesel line. So I gave them a bit of that last night, and the response was great. They loved it!! On a different topic, im so glad I moved no.5 outside. Ive been out there checking on it, and it most certainly did hermi on me, and just started to drop pollen. We will cut it up and juice all the immature buds, and freeze the juice to make some smoothies. The rest will go in the compost for next seasons outdoor crop. Happy growing team

The fan leaves are all starting to go a bit yellow on no.4, but the buds are swelling, and the smell in the tent is getting stronger. Smells amazing too, all tropical with a hint of gas. Temperature has been consistent at 23-26°C, but humidity has been down around 30-35RH. Just waiting for these girls to ripen, and giving them around 750ml-1L evry day, or two depending on they're needs. All going well though, I reckon I have about 3 weeks to go.

Just giving them water from now until harvest, and backing off on frequency a bit. Fan leaves are fading fast, and falling off all over the place, but buds are getting super frosty. Only the slightest hint of amber trichomes on the sugar leaves, none on the buds as of yet. Another week to go at least, but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes a bit longer. The aim is to harvest when I'm seeing about 20%amber on the buds. We'll wait and see. Smells amazing!!

Out of the 2 plant left from the original 5, 1 has now decided to start throwing male flowers out, all at the lowest point each branch. I've caught it a bit late, because I'm starting to see a few seeds here and there. Ive pulled off 4 male flowers so far, and can't see any more, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a few hiding. I don't see any sign of pollination on the other girl in the tent. Not long before harvest, just starting to see a touch of amber in the trichomes on the buds

I learnt a lot from this grow, and happy with the outcome overall. Grow diaries has made it an easy way to document my grow, and use as a reference for future grows. Thanks heaps, to everyone who chimed in and gave advice. And shout out to all you legends out there growing your on herb. Much love.
