I am running this diary as an exploration of the Viparspectra XS series. I am a new grower, so I’m not advocating that this grow will be picture perfect, but I’m just sharing my experiences using the Vipar equipment and any problems I run into for educational purposes.
This is the first photoperiod I’m putting into flower and one of the first seeds I ever planted.
*Germ date was 10/30.
I didn’t track growth from seed, however there will be more pics under week 1 of previous weeks and all of the training I did to lead to this point. Week 1 of veg will be the final week before I flip to flower.
Transplanted to a 10 gallon pot.
Going to flip gradually this week going one hour at a time.
Will make sure she is healthy going in, but I’m running out of room lol
This is the first full week of 12-12. Will change the diary to flower when I see pistils.
Been having some nitrogen problems and going to add a little magnesium foliage spray quickly before any buds develop to see if it helps with the coloring.
I think stress is also partially due to low temp and low humidity
First week into flowering. Just saw pistils pop up today, so this Monday 2/8 will be considered day one of flowering.
Trying not to touch or defoliate too much. Also very hard trying to keep light leaks out
Going smoothly. Trying to carefully lst some of the branches outward so the light can get through to some of the lower bud sites without taking leaves off just yet.
Whiteflies are going to drive me insane. There were a couple out in my living room herb garden, and I must’ve brought them into the tent. Saw those little buggers crawling around this girl. My humidity was very very low so I felt ok minimally spraying some neem oil on only the green foliage affected.
Ordered some yellow sticky traps as well and going to try not to spray anymore. Looks good today but it’s so frustrating.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
She hungry... having to water almost every day? Maybe some bugs still hiding sucking the life out 🤷♂️🏻 idk
The tops look great so far I’m giving her lots of food as well and every time she will perk up. Possibly because the tops are evenly getting around 1200 ppfd
Smell is insane.
Looking good on top, not so great down below.
Still fighting some gnats sucking the life out, but we are chugging along.
I will have to wash the buds at the end but I’m determined to let this plant finish. Colas getting thicker.
Still just letting it ride. A couple more weeks lied I guess. Either 2 or 3 more weeks.
Still some bugs underneath but doesn’t look like it is heavily affecting much. See cleansing after this run.
This just got jarred so I haven’t smoked any yet, but it smells and looks fire. Little dense gold ball nugs and just about 2ozs dried. I am pretty satisfied for my first photoperiod.
Will update on taste in a couple weeks
Hanging in there, just looked thru a scope and the trichomes are actually looking close to done.
Might end up chopping next week.
Going away for Easter tho, and don’t wanna screw up my dry/cure. Currently trying to figure out what to do about that..
Flushing this week. Still trying to decide if I should harvest before I leave for three days or wait until after I get back. Just watching those trichomes waiting patiently.
