SAC87 So I’ve started a new round of seeds and hopefully will find a couple to keep around for a bit. My last hunt didnt turn out anything special so let’s try again.
I have a Chemdawg, Northern Lights Haze, Zkittles, Shishkaberry, Gorilla Glue and a Strawberry Cough.
I took cuts from the mothers around 3 weeks ago and transplanted into cups LST week. There are roots showing in the bottom of most of the cups now.
So far things are going well and looking forward to seeing them grow.

SAC87 Week 2: These little plants are doing well, drying up every 3 days or so. It’s very dry here, so I have a humidifier running at max. Roots are growing from the bottom of all the cups. This week I’ll have to transplant. I wanted to transplant and top at the same time but some started to stretch a lot. So they were topped this week. Going to drop the light a couple inches and see how they like it.
Overall things are going good.

SAC87 Week 3: Just transplanted to 3 gal fabric and a couple 2 gal plastic pots. Just trying to keep the low and fill out the tent. It’s super dry here so moved the humidifier in the tent and have it on max. Upped the N and cal to hopefully decrease the purple stem and upped the ph a couple points. Other than that, daily lst.

SAC87 Week 4: Pretty easy week, just some LST and topping. Trying to keep an even canopy. Added the second light to prep for flower. Trying to keep the feeding on the lighter side to avoid build up. So far so good.

SAC87 Week 5: This is one of my favorite times in the growing phase other than seeing those big buds. There’s so much to do, LST, topping, bending and defoliation.
I removed all the lower branches, lollipopped, defoliated, bent branches. The canopy is looking great. I lowered the lights about 6” to stop stretch and decreased the light to 15 hrs on and will start flower right away.
I’m looking forward for this round to start flowering and hoping there will be something nice to keep around for a while.

SAC87 Week 2: This has been a good week of growth. Everything is shooting up nicely. Trying to get the light at the ideal height to keep stretch going but no too leggy. I say this every time, doing numerous genetics makes it tough to keep even canopy, but we’re doing well still.

SAC87 Day 21 Flower. Planning to defoliate in the next day or 2 to open up the canopy and install a trellis net to hold up the buds that are starting to droop and drag down branches. I am tucking and removing leaves that need to and watering approx every 4 days. I’m pretty pleased with this round and how 5/6 strains are going. The Shishkaberry is on the slow side, but we’ll see how it finishes. Looking forward to the next couple weeks and making the decision of what to grow next round.

SAC87 Week 4: I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. I love the PH perfect nutes from advanced. Previously when growing mixed runs I have had an issue with at least one plant that is not happy with the PH range I have selected. Since switching to Advanced nutes I have seen that problem decrease. Then talk about the ease of mix and pour it on is awesome. My water can be inconsistent and hard depending on time of year but using the “hobby” amounts in the calculator has done me well. Love this stuff.
I am in the market for a new light. The hps 1000 is way too hot even air cooled. The vivosuns are ok to veg or flower autos but not the juice for flower. Any suggestions $500-1000 cdn. I’m a patient not a seller so cost does have to matter unfortunately 👎🏻
As far as the plants go, a picture is worth 1000 words. They’re doing well, heavy defoliated and cleaned up the underside early in the week and missed a few days to stress, but seeing growth again. I added the trellis net for support. Moved the light to 20” and watching for light stress. Watering when dry. Kinda on auto pilot now, watch and correct if needed.

SAC87 Week 5: This week I removed a Shishkaberry as it shot a banana. Other than that, they seem to have recovered from the defoliation. I raised the light 2” and things are going well, buds are getting bigger. I just bought a Spider Farmer SF4000 for this tent. Hopefully it’s good!!

SAC87 Week 6: Things are going wellish. I did find a couple seeds in the lower buds. I think they were stressed when I did the defoliation and they were exposed to more light. The upper buds are getting big and starting to firm up. The smell is getting super pungent and covered in trichomes.

SAC87 Week 7: The SpiderFarmer SF4000 has arrived. It’s hanging at about 28” at 80% and the plants seem to be very happy. The spectrum is significantly “whiter” rather than the purple of my other lights. Heat is definitely manageable. Buds have chunked up over that last week. I did probably the last feeding as I’m coming up to day 56. Clones are rooted and planted for next round and trying to decide what to run for next round. Some strains are looking better than others but overall pretty nice.

SAC87 Day 56: These plants are chunking up nicely and are very pungent. The strawberry cough has yellowed out a lot and the hairs are all dark. Everything else is just starting to show color. I did a heavy flush on day 55 with florokleen 5ml/L 2L/plant waited 30 mins then flushed with 1L/ plant of plain water. I haven’t found any new seeds that I can see. I have a different plan for training/defo next round.
Gonna do 1 or 2 more flushes plan to be done around day 70 +/-

SAC87 Week 8: These plants are just being flushed right now and showing more trichomes and smell each day. They are fattening up some, but most of all getting more dense. Glad I invested in a better quality light. I think it’ll help drastically in quality of yield.

SAC87 Week 9 Day 69:
The plants have been in the dark for 2 days so far. I’m quite impressed how they’ve improved over that past couple weeks. Trichomes are nice and big, stinky and sticky. I’m pleased with the bud quality, hoping I’ll get a keeper strain out of it. I’m liking the look of the chemdawg as it darkens and fades and the zkittles is a nice purple hue. 👍🏻 I’ll be harvesting in the next couple days.

SAC87 Plants were cut on may 11. They had been in darkness for 4 days prior to chop. The smell was amazing. Once everything was pulled out of the trellis they all dropped over weighed down. I’m going to cure this up for a couple weeks then I’ll sample and review them all. Hoping to find a couple good strains to keep. 🤞

This is a good assortment of bud. Some better than others. I think I was successful in finding some keepers and made the purchase of the seeds worth while. I gifted some plants to a friend so he benefits too.

SAC87 The harvest was good. Bud quality was better on some than others. These plants took forever to cure up to nice smell and effect. I think the inability to flush well and water quality is the major factor on that one. My order of preference is Chem, Shiskaberry, NLH, GG, Z, SC.
The chem is sour and pungent, like 50/50 relaxing, able to have conversations and be able to use as a medicine. I’m keeping this one. Quite potent.
Shishkaberry: berry sweet, 65/35 indica dom. Lower yield on this run but the next run had some solid buds. I’ve kept this as well. Quite potent.
Northern Lights haze: earthy, haze 75/25 sat dom. Nice solid Buds, potent, slight euphoria. It’s nice, but as sat dom hybrids go, I like my Durban more.
I’ll sample the other 3 and update.
