The plants are doing well, with the Cheese auto from Canuk seeds the tallest and my own Cookies auto F2 cross a close 2nd.
They haven’t developed especially distinctive smells yet.
Tied lowest 4 branches down on each plant.
Just letting them do their thing, since I don’t believe topping is helpful for most autos.
Lowest branch on each plant was pollinated with an impressive male that came out of this batch of from an F2 Cookies auto strain I crossed last summer.
Defoliation due to pests: they seemed to prefer the orange Sherbert ( which is also one of the nicest looking).
Since nighttime temps dropped to 16C, and daytime in the low to mid 20’s, an infestation was never likely anyhow, and major defoliation of any/all infected leaves virtually eradicated all signs of them. Only 2-3 plants affected.
This is actually week 11.
Flushed each plant with rain water.
PPM from flushed plants reading super high.
Apparently the autos haven’t depleted the organic additives (sheep manure, sea soil, and top dressings). This mix was better suited for photoperiod plants.
Planning to let them ripen 1 more week.
Smell in the tent is intense.
Week 12
Plants are looking super ripe, lots of colours in the garden.
Last pictures before harvest.
Great plants all around:
Fastbuds Orange Sherbert showed variations between 3 females . All citrusy.
1 pheno is best looking in garden.
Great structured plant: longer nodes, taller plant, smaller Buds but incredibly frosted.
Fast Buds Gorilla Cookies all smell similar (sweet)despite having slight differences in their appearance:1 small/1 medium/1 large size
Sensi skunks have a large dense bud structure similar to the larger GC plants. Slight variations, similar smells (sweet, pungent)
Cheese auto - Canuk seeds
This was the tallest female.
1 of the top 3 nicest looking plants in the garden.
Very consistent sized Buds, pungent smell.
Plants are frosty and stinky, like sweet berries or something. Slight differences between the 3 plants A little heavier of an Indica than I normally prefer.
Super frosty Buds, but unfortunately a disappointment in smoke. Won’t burn smoothly, unlike everything else. Great plant structure, Buds. Probably a lesser Pheno, and a freebie, so can’t complain too much!
Freebie seed. Very attractive plant to grow. Heavy trichomes.
Ended up as a disappointment.
Would’ve needed special treatment in order to reach its potential, as it doesn’t burn clean, despite flushing, etc.
Muted cheese type smell, probably just a weaker Pheno.
This custom F2 strain was the largest yielding in the garden at approx. 3 ounces.
All others averaged 2.
Tallest auto of the garden. Large leaves, branches. Most leaves turned completely purple. Smokes sweet, with a balanced hybrid type effect.
