Having a space heater on very low this week was key to kicking them back into some sort of growth. This was particularly important with the switch to flower at the very start of this week. Being really careful on the watering and keeping nutrients to once a week with half of the official GHE recommended amounts.
All are still looking green but due to cold, Two in particular are weaker and on the stringier your side, stems looking more like basil than cannabis! Oh well, yet another learning lesson, this time on temperature and the extreme lower limits.
It was the wrong time to switch to LEDs to grow in the winter when I could’ve use that extra heat!I’m happy with how green they are (I’m an amateur having started only at the beginning of this pandemic and the little things count for a lot) and I’m looking forward to moving into the second week of flowering using the trellis to best expose the branches, some of them obviously in wretched shape after those temperatures of 13 or 14° C a couple of nights. I’ve got to master the cycles a little bit better and the availability of the different tents.
Let me just say that the next two weeks are my favorite in the entire grow with being able to manipulate during the stretch all of the branches through the trellis to give a maximum off exposure, setting up the future of the whole grow. That’s pretty exciting!
With a lot of tensions at home at the moment like probably all of us it’s giving me a really healthy distraction.
Thank you for stopping by and reading!
@NomadGrowDad, Thanks! Not sure mine are a model. Indeed LST is pretty simple on these: after topping, tie down main stalk for max light penetration all around. Threw up the SCROG today for further exposure still in this early phase. Yours are incredibly well done. Happy Growing - I'll check out your grow now. Take care!
