Hey guys! I'm takin' a break at the uni, so I decided to write my first diary, even though my plants are almost finished, they still have a good month to go.
So in a nutshell,I have 3 plants of Blue Mammoth from Barney's farm goin on nicely, really becoming blueish as flowering is coming to the end :')
this is my first grow with (give or take) normal lights, I'm using 2 times 125W Advanced Star CFLs, and I'm only using a minimum dose of nutries. I use normal soil mixed with coco and perlite.
Beautiful plants, but next time I'm gonna invest in a nice growing tent, and maybe some LED lights:)

Sorry guys but back then I didn't even know about this site, so I didn't take too may pics. They were a bit leggy at their first week, but then they got a little more soil, and it solved the problem!
They are doing pretty great, since I only have like 90cm in height, I appreciate that they stay kinda short. But they def need 2 lst session! do not do more, because I think it might stunt the plant.
okay okay they started to make beautiful flowers! I try to give them as many oxygen as I can, so the tent's door is open the whole day, I almost ran into some light burn, but I saved them! :D They also started to smell, gee, it's very fruity:)
Hey guys! I gave the girls their last feeding the last week, just before 4/20 :) from now on they'll only get fresh water. They had a slight nutrient burn, but I hope no harm was done. They look healthy as ...!:D and the smell, bro .
It is extremely fruity, smells like sweet melon :)
any advice you might have guys? please feel free to comment anything!:)

well, last days are ahead, I have to say it's been an interesting first grow :) the smell is amazing guys. fruity as hell! like melon..:)
one of the plants has sick, brown spotted leaves, but the buds look fine. the other two has nice healthy leaves. Would you recommend a 24h dark period before I chop them?:)

Hey grow diaries! I have these amazing Blue Mammoth's from Barney's farm, 3 of them. I planted them February the 5th, and.Now (may the 9th) the lower parts doesn't seem maximum developed. Only on one plant, the leaves are yellowing, and have brown spots..do you think its fine?thx
Not all plants I've seen go through that yellowing dying stage completely. Ive been told go by your trichromes, if they're milky, not glassy, and have some amber ones too then you're ready to rock. Of coarse you want to notice if any of your pistols are still very white and fresh, which none of yours appear this way. I think you're ready to go. Congratulations they're beautiful.

so, these ladies are my first grow.
I got them at a headshop in the Netherlands.
I didn't have money yet for a normal tent, or reflectors, so I think this seriously set back the yield, but I did my best :)
2x 125W 'Pro Star CFL AGRO
I used 5L fabric pots, and filled them with soil-coco-perlite mix, each with a different ratio.
The one with the most soil got to be the smallest, and the one with the most coco got to be the most beautiful :)
I planted them on February the 5th, it took them 5 days to get out and see the lights:p
After the 3rd/4th node I started light LST on them, worked out pretty well.
I only used a little Vertafort grow and bloom tablets, and PH stabiliser.
on the first 2 days of drying, I literally felt pine smell, like it was Christmas.
I harvested them on the 11th of May, and after 5 days of drying I put them in jars.(May 19th)
I got 48g from the 3 plants, quite happy with it!
maybe I could have done more trimming at the end, but every sugar leaf is covered in trichomes:P

It took like 2-3 weeks for them to show their first preflowers, after that they exploded :P
In conclusion I really liked this strain, will definitely grow some more. This year I didn't have money for a normal tent, reflector, etc..

I love the title to your diary. I think everyone enjoys seeing a diary turn out this good on a budget. Often it seems the necessary items just keep adding up and keep coming. I can't wait to see the final weight and pics.
@Experimentgreen, I had 90cm in height, but I had to fit the lamps to that 90 cm... :D I'm happy that it turned out well, but yeah, next year normal tent :)

Tents can be fairly inexpensive nowadays....but definitely look back on your previous grows and their final sizes, that'll give you some estimation of an approximate sized tent. Too often people are limited by their dimensions, or find they have no room to maneuver themselves or the plants around.
She looks good, a little small pehaps, but she has 2 weeks of growth left in flowering
i will watch you now and then to see what you will harvest in the end
