Hello fellow cultivators! ✌️ I'm back, after my Last grow I've gone through my mistakes and hope to get something better than my last yield of 65-ish grams from three auto plants.. I'll be growing 4 plants(3 strains) this time around. 2 Gir Scout Cookies, 1 West Coast OG, both from FastBuds and Sour Stomper from Mephisto. I have this one in a 5 gallon smart pot in a soil mix, all plants' media consist of fox farm ocean forest, worm castings, dolomite lime, and perlite. This one germinated and sprouted after being dropped in a root cube. The soil was flushed 3 days beforehand. In my last journal I mentioned additional lighting and I'm excited, I'll be installing my second P600 tomorrow and am expecting much better results. Anyways, much love!

Alright! Week 2 is in the books. Literally last Wednesday I received the 2nd P600 in the mail and immediately installed it. Might I say, the temp increase was an additional +/- 5 degrees.. very surprised considering what these lights are putting out! After harvesting about 4 grows with just one light looking forward to see what 2 will do! Any input or advice from you fellow cultivators that have gone through a similar experience of upgrading to a higher watt light set up would be greatly appreciated! Now! Onto this young lady. Everything is going very well thus far. After adding the second light, life in the tent has changed for the best! She's working on her second set of leaves and I've only watered with pH-6.8 distilled water. Hope you gals and guys have a good week!!✌️

You can start anytime, but most wait until flowering begins. Some prefer a few weeks before harvest. It’s really a matter of personal preference. But you can start anytime. 👍

It's the end of week 3, the plants have all been doing great! Fed all four ladies distilled water pH'ed to 6.75. I've also added 1.25ml of Silica and 2ml of CaMg per gallon. I'll be supplementing with silica every other watering and continue to supplement CaMG until harvest. I'm also going to be adding veg nutes from Fox Farm this next feed. Sour Stomper She's the smallest of the 4 but everything is going as planned, she's already shot out a few pistils and smelling a bit. Looking forward to seeing her continue her development and started to bend her lightly to get her used to the LST. Cheers fellow cultivators!✌️👐

Alright, week 4 is a wrap. All plants have grown considerably, some more than others. I am a bit disillusioned with growing autos in soil. The veg stage is just so short and I'm not getting the height I would like.. alas.. I'll do my best for the rest of this grow, but photos are the next peoject, more specifically, Ocean Grown Genetics. Back to this grow; I've fed all plants 3 times this week. Once with just CaMg and Silica blast and the next feed with Grow Big by FF. Sour Stomper has grown quite a bit, but at week four, she is 9 inches tall. No nute burn, yet lol but she's beginning to get into her flowering stage. One more veg feed and I'm switching to Tiger Bloom.

Alright, so all of the girls have been growing very well. May have caused nutrient burn. Some leaves are drying at the tips, But alas, they are all doing well despite the issue. This week is the first week of flowering nutes. Started them off slow I thought, but could be an over watering situation. Sour Stomper has shown the most bud growth and resin is already stacking up. The smell is grapey, I’m excited to see her development!

Alright so week 6 is a wrap. I’ve seen a lot of changes here lately on all the girls. I’m assuming that the flowering stage is kicking in overdrive and taking away energy from the leaves to make flowers. What do y’all think?

Week 7 is a wrap. Lots going on. Lots of discoloration in the leaves due a number of things.. sigh. This could all be a normal occurrence as the ladies reach harvest. At any rate, this will be my last time to grow autos, @OceanGrownSeeds will be the photos I’ll be working with next. Anyways, all input is welcomed! ✌️ Alright, Sour Stomper, she’s definitely fattening up and as a grower, this is the first time I’ve witnessed this much resin on anything I’ve cultivated. Her branching is limited but the nugz on her are amazing. Some light defoliating and regular feeding for her, just hoping to make it to harvest with any more issues.

Week 8 is a wrap. Fed all the girls pH’ed TAP water and 1tbsp/gal of molasses every other watering. I’ve been using distilled water but I’ve also suffered a lot of deficiencies I may not have addressed. So far they all love the water! Sour Stomper is looking feistier but not much growth has happened. Most of her trichomes are turning an off white and few are amber. I believe I’ll keep flushing with plain pH water and molasses until next wednesday.

Smoke report coming on the 29th. Harvested at day 60. EDIT 6-25-2018 The smoke is great! Taste like grapes and OG. Only drawback is that she was very short. And small yield. Definitely a strain you’d want to grow in a SoG setup to take advantage of this forever strain

Well this strain I had high hopes for (no pun intended). She came out smaller than expected. She flowered hella early and hardly any veg time. We’ll see how she smokes soon!0

So I have Unsulfured molasses, I read a little about it In some forums. Anyone know when i should I start feeding the soil with it? I'm assuming much later given the fact of the contents of the soil mix. I'm sure sooner wouldn't hurt? Any info is appreciated!👐

looking good man. i see you are using the grow big from ff. do you use/have tiger or big bloom? at this stage i would be throwing some of those in as well. thats just me though. we are all learning
EdsterGrows
EdsterGrowscommented7 years ago
@Divs_darkroom, I'll most likely start off feeding with 1/4 Tiger bloom, 1/2 teaspoon of blackstrap molasses, unsulfered.
Divs_darkroom

@EdsterGrows, I understand your thought process, but too much nitrogen too far into flower is not a good thing. It could cause toxicity if they got too much nitrogen. When I was using fox farms I just followed their feeding schedule. I actually went a little light with it so I didn't burn anything. Like if it asks for 10ml, I might only use 7

@Divs_darkroom, I do have the two other bloom products from FF. I was actually prolonging the veg nutes just a tad bit to promote height increase. I'm thinking about just using tiger bloom at low conc. What schedule do you use?

@EdsterGrows Your tropical like conditions partly account for such rapid growth. Good work keeping the soil warm! That’s key. I was taught to allow pH to vary within the appropriate range. Supposedly a constant pH every watering doesn’t encourage as broad a range of nutrients uptake. We’re all still moonshiners! Who really knows?!?!
EdsterGrows
EdsterGrowscommented7 years ago
@growdoctordc, you make a good point! I've done so in the past, but not with properly calibrated meters. The last grow and this one I've been on top of calibrating my new pH meter and have kept it constant. I may vary from the 6.5-6.8 range. And as for the growth, the lights have done their fate share of keeping it tropical :) the temps used to be an issue, but now a portable AC has helped!
the end.
