Starting my first ever Pheno hunt. Trying to keep the perpetual grow theme I've got going. My first time using genetics from Jordan of the Islands and I'm really excited to get started. I filled 8 shot glass solo cups with Stepwell soil and pushed a pen into the centre of each cup. I added a tiny amount of DYNOMYCO Mycorrhizal Inoculant to each cavity and dropped a seed directly into each, lightly covering them with soil and misting the surface with a sprayer. I covered the saucer and 8 solo cups with a dome after marking each cup and left them in the 24x24 tent under the 18/6 schedule with the others in the tent. 3 days later after periodically misting the surfaces we have 4/4 Black Candyland and 4/4 Black Dolato above the soil reaching for the light. 8 beans with 100% germination rate... I'll take that all day. Excited to see what all the hype is about for JOTI's genetics. I'm going to do a full Pheno hunt series on my YouTube channel inspired by @_frostyjak_ on Instagram. I'm feeling motivated by the kind words from Jak we've sent eachothers way and I'm eager to start my YouTube journey. Follow along if you feel so inclined. 🤘

Day 7 & week 1 down for the Black Candyland & Black Dolato run from Jordan of the Islands. 7/8 are still standing and looking strong! Less than 72 hours to germinate and break the soil for all of them is fine by me - and to think, I didn't complicate anything or make the process convoluted. I simply made a cavity for the seed and dropped it in, covered lightly with soil and sprayed the top surface with some water in a mister. Old school method got me feeling pretty alright. 4/4 Black Candyland looking awesome 3/4 Black Dolato right on par with the BCL's That fallen soilder just decided it didn't want to live... I'm not sure what happened. It broke the surface and within 2 days it was done for.

Week 2 went by on cruise control, nothing to note other than the uneven number of plants that just drives me nuts. Will check back soon!

Some big changes to the set up and I'm sure some of you are even wondering... "Why am I following this grow?" I don't blame you. Hopefully now that I have my set up sorted out to my liking, I can update more frequently. Truth be told I've been feeling lazy! Sorry growmies! I have the JOTI genetics in the Mammoth Pro P90 propagation tent. It's a 2x3x2 tent (2 feet deep, 3 feet long by 2 feet in height) with 2x 24" Sunblaster T5 Fluorescent lights. The girls are sitting pretty roughly 3-5" away with no signs of being uncomfortable. I have been feeding plain filtered water growing solely in Stepwell Organic Super Soil with zero ammendments. I did however treat these girls and my 3 girls in the 2x2 veg tent with a Compost tea feed that brewed for 50+ hours and they seemed to love it. I used 1 cup Bokashi Pro-Gro fermented fertilizer, 1 cup of Worm Castings, 1 tbsp of Kelp and 2 tbsp of organic molasses. Growth exploded within 24 hours of receiving this feed. Will keep you posted! Thanks for coming back. You're the real MVP.
